Do you remember how it was at the time of the first aircraft? The first competitions of enthusiasts. Different technical concepts. Victory and defeat. In general, everything was exactly the same as on this video. We live in interesting times ...
This reminds me of the Tour du Sol which was carried out in Switzerland in the 1980's. The participants were enthusiasts who built solar bikes or cars. Some not so high mountain passes like the Brünig were crossed in that race. Unfortunately the Swiss government has never really supported solar power and today we are embarrasingly behind the countries around us.
really take my hat off to these guys and girls....I would really like to do this one day....
Might even do a sun tour challenge here in Australia....charging the batteries on the bike via the solar panels on the bike itself....what a great idea.

your prob the right folk to ask what solar pannels should i buy for a solar bike conversion and how many
I cant answer you exactly, but I can tell you this. If your hub motor is say 48 volts, you will need at the minimum of a 24 volt solar panel and then a converter to step that up to 48 volts. So most likely you will need a small trailer.

This would be great, since I ride a recumbent and will soon get a Electric assist system put on my bike. Too bad I cannot understand the language. Not even subtitles.

Quel type de motorisation électrique (combien de W) sur ces vélo ?;-)
Les moteurs ça doit être du brushless en majorité. a mon sens c est ce qu il y a de plus fiable.
La puissance des moteurs? 500 w me semble un bon compromis, faut pas que ce soi trop gourmand en énergie, il faut aussi un minimum de couple

brother, eu sou do Brasil,vendo esta aventura de voces eu fiquei mais motivado a fazer uma aventura aqui no brasil ,por todo o litoral,tenho um projeto de um trailler expansivo automatico todo de fibra de 60cm larg/1.20cm comp/60 cm alt. que expandido fica com 1.75 larg./1.20 de comp./1.80 de alt. já com pia e fogão,e placas solar, tudo isto num reboque de uma roda para bike,preciso de um investimento de 6.000$, sem as placas solar ,estariam interessados nesta aventura?
