Not sure what were they asking. However, yes you still need to convert. I understand in this regard that 4cm measured equals 1km on the ground. Not sure if I answered your question?
If they would to say we should calculate the area of a block on a orthophoto map but than the block is illustrated on a topographic map which map scale should we use
No. Watch my video on how to convert🙂 here Geography Mapwork: Conversion of metrics (Cm to meters)(Km to meters)(m to KM) Scale conversion th-cam.com/video/EAKduMOWrKw/w-d-xo.html
Check on my latest videos I made av video explaining it Geography Mapwork: Conversion of metrics (Cm to meters)(Km to meters)(m to KM) Scale conversion th-cam.com/video/EAKduMOWrKw/w-d-xo.html

I love your teaching, great work
Thank you 🙏🏾
We can also just after finding the L and B we can multiply those numbers by 0.5 if they asked for km. Then multiply both of your answer's😊then add km2
💯😎
You're appreciated❤
🙏🏾🙂

What if the question states that 4cm = 1km?
Do I still need conversion?
If you could answer that would be really helpful and appreciated. Thank you.🙏

@@EverythingGeography7Thank you so much for replying. So I convert using the same method you used yes?
pleasure ;)@@Zoha_Fathima
Yes 💯
If they would to say we should calculate the area of a block on a orthophoto map but than the block is illustrated on a topographic map which map scale should we use
If you’re measuring from a an Orthophoto map you use it’s scale
Oh ok thanks 👍
Pls explain more about your conversion
I will do a video on it🙂
Danko🇨🇩🇨🇩👊🏽
Is thank you 😉
I have a cartography test tomorrow
I did cartography in my first and loved it. I hope you enjoy it and all the best 🙂
Tomorrow is mine👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿🤞🏾
All the best 🙂
what if you're asked to calculate the area in meters? are you still going to divide by 100000?
No. Watch my video on how to convert🙂 here Geography Mapwork: Conversion of metrics (Cm to meters)(Km to meters)(m to KM) Scale conversion

Ily man
Sorry to disturb but if its asked to calculate to metres.. will the answer also have to be in m²👀
Yes
Is the a problem if i just puch all of it in to the calculator
Not at all but ensure that you don’t make a mistake 🙂
Please help me to understand that Khdmdcm stand for?

Where does the squared come from?
Remember you’re calculating a distance of a square meter🙂
😭😭@@EverythingGeography7
Is it compulsory to bring the brackets?
Not necessarily. But I would say is mathematically advised 🙂
Sir what if you don't get a box
You hardly won’t receive any question of that nature but what is important is understanding how to go about it 🙂
Is it all the same we calculate the yellow or red big square?
@octaviamulaudzi1819 No, you can be asked to calculate the area of anything, you must pay attention to what the question asks of you 🙂
How you got 0,5 explain that in detail
Take your time to watch again everything is explained in detail 🙂
Isn't length vertical and breadth horizontal?
Correct! 🙂
Tomorrow is fine
👌🏾👌🏾
I don't Understand what you said about 0.5
Divide the map scale by 100 000 to convert from cm to km
Area=LxW
Not in geography
What is khdmdcm
Metric scale conversion from millimetres to kilometres 🙂
Ok thanks
If you cancell zero you only cancell 4 zero
Yes just manual way of doing, otherwise punch the calculator as is you won’t go wrong 🙂
Thank you so much
Pleasure 😉
