"Bud Spencer and Terence Hill are back again! The new game is a sequel to the first game and just like a movie saga. The story picks up where it left off at the end of the first Slaps and Beans. Our heroes will experience adventures in new places with new events and will also meet many new characters along the way.
Slaps and Beans 2 returns as a scrolling fighting game with a retro gaming, co-op or single player look with a platform mechanic that allows the player to control Bud Spencer and Terence Hill in a revised and improved version of the combat system. Brand new environment dynamics that progressively add enemies as the difficulty increases and of course again with lots of funny quotes."

for everyone who doesnt know, the characters are bud spencer and terrence hill some action/ comedy movie heros from the 80s? a lot of slap stick humor and the most funny with the german dub cause its utter madness
I rewatch their movies pretty often and they are awesome, I'm italian though, the original language the movies were thought for

Terence Hill and Bud Spencer are two of my favorite spaghetti western actors. "They Call Me Trinity" and "Trinity is Still my Name" are amazing. I instantly love this game!

Pretty surprised you never heard about Terence Hill and Bud Spencer - their movies are iconic comedies in the central Europe. Best memories with my father growing up belongs to those times when we sat in front of TV and watched their movies. This game is a loveletter for those movies and parodies them in pretty good way.

As someone that grew up with this (not only Dad but whole Family) i never imagined anybody not knowing about them. Damn im old i guess.

We germans threw so much extra comedy in, we even added some lines when you couldn't see the faces so nobody notices that they aren't really talking at these moments, mostly silly one-liner.

Jeez, this game is easter egg galore, from the action set pieces over the combat movements, amnnerism and basicly everything.
If you did not do yet, check out their comedies. Good starting points are "I'm for the Hippopotamus", "Who Finds a Friend Finds a Treasure" and "Watch Out, We're Mad!". The Bud Spencer solo movies are also worth checking out, like "They Called Him Bulldozer" or "Banana Joe".

Damn I loved these films growing up. They're just great. They're true culture. Yes they're all essentially the same. And yes they're all somewhat trashy but that is what makes them great.

I can relate so hard to the stick conversation. I found the perfect walking stick at my grandparents' beach house. Perfect height and thickness. It even had a small notch that was almost ergonomic for my hand. I would walk up and down that shore like I owned the whole ocean. I wish people would tell you you'll never find a more perfect stick when you're *in* the moment of the perfect stick

Dude, Kevin, you HAVE to look up and watch the Bud Spencer and Terrence Hill movies. They are fantastic fun, and you’ll love how much you’ll recognise from the game - it’s such a brilliant love letter to the movies honestly. Very, very well done! Down to the attacks/moves and dynamic of the two.

Man, Bud Spencer and Terence Hill where my childhood heros. There is a whole bunch of movies that are just like this game. You'd love them.
Yeah both games are heavily influenced by their movies, got to give the team credit for their love of the classics shining through.
This brought some nostalgia to me, never expected Kevin to dig up my childhood like this.
Either way, I can safely say that the game feels just like the movies when watching Kevin and Max play. Delightful!

It would be a hard thing to pull off, but I also hope we get a lot of videos of Kevin just having fun with a friend! Even when he was streaming often, my favourite streams still are those of Kevin just enjoying playing with someone, or Kevin and the lads building a table (Also Max cooking videos).

You have to watch Budd Spencer and Terrence Hill movies. I guarantee Anna has seen at least a few of their movies because they are very famous (or infamous) in Hungary
Bud Spencer and Terence Hill movies are really big in Hungary so I'm pretty sure Anna can tell you a lot about them, Kevin!
In terms of influences for this game, I'd say Streetfighter/Streets Of Rage, a LOT of LucasArts (specifically Monkey Island), and then just generally old school side-scrollers and puzzle/adventure games. It looks incredibly well put together, and I always love when you and Max collab.
