Back in the 1970's I was working at a Country club in Maryland. There was an old set of clubs that had been abandoned for some time . I asked the manager if I could have them and he said sure as he wanted the room for more junk. I went through all the pockets and low and behold there was 2 100 dollar bills in the pocket with several tees . I kept the money and did not tell anyone for a long time. I purchased an old Honda motorcycle with the money . I did not feel guilty at the time as I made money only on tips from the members . Now I feel a little guilty spilling the beans on TH-cam . Oh , the good old days.
lol you were told they were yours and we have so much sin and regret don’t sweat the small stuff. I was at a goodwill and I was trying to explain to the manager that the people that were gathered around the door in the back were an issue fighting over items etc. When I looked down there was a wad of money and I picked it up held it while talking to this weird manager while she explained they deserved to get all the deals they wanted. I held up the wad of cash I found and she said you’re not going to keep that are you? I said certainly not I’m going to donate it to a charity. I guess she thought goodwill was a charity shop lol…..nope
Awe man, what a shame the rain ruined so many vintage things. Despite that you still got some great finds! Never pass by a good trash pile, folks! People will throw out some insane stuff.
You found some cool metal at the one house…A lot of MCM pieces…You’d be surprised at how much vintage wastebaskets can go for especially the avocado and orange ones….❤
Im originally from New Jersey and Jan and Feb are tough on everybody on rhe east coast, cold, snow, ice,no money after the holidays.BUT March starts to make thjngs better
Good morning Taco. Today's trash picking has gotten you a good amount of metal. That plant stand is very nice. Take it a little easy, and enjoy the rest of your day.
The upholstery on that office chair can actually be painted --- it's not that difficult (mask it off and use almost any kind of paint) and you'd have a nice chair. People often wonder if the fabric gets stiff and my answer is always: "have you ever dripped paint on your shirt? It doesn't get stiff unless you saturate it over and over again like people's painting overalls."
you have exactly the amount of snow that we do. It’s been raining for two days. Here in south, central Washington state we had about 6 inches of snow in one day last week after single and teens in the temperature range. But it is patchy just like yours. It’s supposed to get up to almost 50° in the next week.
If you go to Walmart they have automobile upholstery cleaner in a spray can that should work on that chair. If it fades a bit at least it would be cleaner.
Good day for ducks 😅...pouring here tonite (Saturday)...love hanging out with you...never know what's going to turn up...such fun and good finds today...🥰🥰
Taco! You hit the jackpot at that house! Lots of great stuff! I hope you go home and get warm & cozy up with your sweet Salsa girl!! Thanks for sharing! Blessings always! ❤️✝️
Taco If you feel the chair cleaning is going to be a pain then just SCRAP IT. If it is so valuable why wouldn't the owners just have cleaned it. Just saying, you have so much on your plate. Don't over think it. You do you. Always love your videos. TFS. ☮💜 from Wisconsin
Great haul for scrapping and selling! BTW, after cleaning/completely drying the chair's upholstery, you can paint/seal it. No particular paint or sealant required.
I use one of those big round cardboard containers as a bedside table base. Add a round of wood and a pretty tablecloth, and it’s great storage. I put off-season clothes there and have never had any problems.
Hope your birthday was memorable. That rocker at the first house is a lot like mine, it's a child's rocker and mine is from the 60s just like me. I've kept it all these years just because.
It amazes me. I can tell the age of the owners by the items they throw away. I see a lot of similar items from my generation. Baby Boomer and parents and grandparents. I am still hoping I will see again. Someone had a candy dish.I am sure it had been in my family.
Is this an older neighborhood or homes just made to look older. It looks like newer homes. Because the street and sidewalk dont have a lot of cracks.but they could have been repaved or new concrete. As much as I enjoy seeing what people throw away. I love seeing the neighborhoods.
Once chair is cleaned, if fabric is good, could you get some material dye or fabric paint (automotive section) and make all the same colour? Could be a how to video ? 👍👍
I just don't understand the mentality --- I mean, ok ... if someone dies (which could be the case here where the giant pile of stuff is loaded up in the street) and their kids want to get rid of everything, that's fine --- it's a lot of work. But, why not put up an easy-up or something on the lawn with a "free" sign instead of putting it all out in the trash in the rain. Not only were there some (ruined) things people would've wanted, but it's SO bad for the planet. I get it that you don't want to estate sale it or rummage it yourself, but at LEAST donate it. That's crazy.
I have had that discussion with many people in that situation and their answer is I just don’t have the time. I just want to get rid of it. They don’t care. Period.
Most older people either try to organize their belongings and either give away or donate. Or they hold on to everything for many reasons. Unfortunately many family members do not want material items from the deceased. They don't have or want to take time to sell or donate. Many relatives don't need. So they just throw away. In most cities there is a used furniture dealer or antique dealer who will buy. Also if there are shelters or thrift shops they may pick up. Salvation Army will pick up furniture. Sometimes when a person dies there is no family. So the city will take the property. This looks like the family just wanted to hurry up to get everything done fa Unfortunately many people just don't need or want or maybe there were bad feelings towards the deceased and just don't want to have anything to be responsible for. Family should talk to their older/ elder relatives and try to work with the person to know what their wishes are. Unfortunately many older people have a hard time preparing for their death. Also if it is an untimely death.the deceased didn't have their affairs in order. So sad to see perfectly good items get ruined. Younger people don't appreciate what older people worked for and just want money. Also if they live far away they may not have the money or time to transfer personal items. People should just give to the person what they want them to have.while they are alive.but that is not always easy to do. Lastly people hold on to much because that is their life.
Loved this and appreciate you going out for us. You got a pretty nice haul. I love ya! Stay safe and warm.❤️😘💞💞💞🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻✌️👶
In one week I found three fully working vacuum cleaners, two montain bikes complete with helmets and anti-theft chains, a small safe with code and key and a high end dehumidifier. Some friends began by finding stuff on the streets of Paris then they bought a van and now have a big high end store where they sell antiques and reclamation finds and they restored a huge old house with materials found and are quite rich ! I sadly don't drive.
Taco stacks! Taco stacks! Taco stacks! For the win of the day! I appreciate you! Thanks for taking us along! So much stuff saved! Happy birthday Taco stacks!!!
Hey! New watcher here, about the chair krylon I believe it is makes a fabric spray paint now that is excellent for that chair so don't give up I do believe that would be in your wheelhouse and skill set!
I had one of those hat boxes when I was little... got it from my Aunt who kept her Troll dolls in it... Mine was the EXACT same design pattern on the outside, but a flatter box. ♥ I saw it and went "WHOA!!" I have seen that pattern before. So cool to find copper just sitting there for ya. I always like to see you take it to get cash for it, and see how accurate your estimate was when you first picked it up... you said $15, what will it bring? I wonder!! LOL.
The best stain cleaner I have ever found is Blue Magic. It has gotten out stains that were years old. Ace Hardware used to carry it, but I had to get some from Amazon.
I think there was some actual christmas ornaments in with that stuff. I watched it and watched it and I swear. There was some in the far left. I would have picked up that chair and the stuff around it also. And that's what I mean. You see so so much stuff that you might overlook some things. But that's what it feels like when you're watching and can't dig in yourself😢😅😊 I'll be honest it's frustrating. Once a year we used to have a thing in a small neighborhood. But it's still pretty big when you're picking up stuff. And but people had one night to put all the garbage or all the things they didn't want outside to be picked up. Our city did a terrible job of pick up because they should have had multiple three stores picking up. And not just garbage trucks because there was full tables and chairs the kind with the claw feet on them metal. And it's a really popular name. But I haven't been to bed yet. So I can't remember it. But people want it, And at that time they really wanted it. There were old bricks stacked in perfect shape. And I mean old collectible. There was 3 layers of houses there. Farms from way back( Is property sold) to ones that were built in the 1940's. I went out with a pickup truck In the daylightat the start of the night before even though it was a little bit embarrassing, we started collecting! There was so much cool furniture there were so many antiques. Whole sets of beautiful dishes for everybody's taste. Some of the things we're worth of fortune, especially at that time. Because that's what people were collecting. Pottery and things that have never lost their value. There was everything from jewelry boxes with real and costume jewelry. Both collectible or was money. Clothes worth having. Real house plants with nothing wrong with them. It started getting shocking. We had it come back and unload which was really hard with the bricks. It just seems so stupid to put this good stuff in a landfill. We didn't have any metal recycling here then at all. But even though I don't sell things that time I did because there was a couple of shops that normally. I wouldn't want to give things up for the amount they pay. We did everything but threatened them for being in our neighborhood😮😊
Your Gulf experience is very educational, l don't play gulf. Its rude to tell someone to shut up, you never know what you might have learne. I'm glad you kept all the gulf club bags, its not how expensive they are...its still money spent, also like you said extra gulf bags for friends. great logic
My Husband and son play golf they invited me to go once i had never played well according to them it would be my last time with them anyway. They both said i looked like a dog peeing on a tree when i it the ball and it was embarrassing to them LOL!
I will start out with I hope you had a good birthday! Sorry I only know because I see it in the comments. I can hardly wait to see what you got to get into today! I always dream that I get to ride with you or follow you and take The stuff you can't sell or do something with. Like the Rio woven furniture or plant stands baskets. The things that don't sell that good there mean a lot to me personally. I don't sell things I just have people rip me off. But I do have some precious things still. When I get home again I will be needing more antiques. And I do not mean mid-century. I mean antiques, maybe if it's mid eighteen hundreds l o l I like my fifties earlier. A few things from that time most of it's thirty's or before. Kind of like what it would have been in some of those big houses before they were modernized.
Good old taco, rain sleet or snow he’s out there,👏👏👏❄️☃️🤠🇬🇧

I am always glad when the month of January is over too. 😊
I enjoyed looking through all the trash goodies today. You found a nice variety of items.

Taco, that first place was like ONE STOP SHOPPING!
Thanks for sharing Taco👍🤓👍. Once this crappy weather passes, things will get back to the normal ❣️.
Hi Taco. Thanks for taking us along. Tina, Al's wife
Glad your back😊
back ? I never left. Must be mistaking me for the other guys

Hope that you had a great Birthday Taco😎😎😎😎😎😎
Hey Taco, I always like to hear about things like golf that I know nothing about. It’s just interesting. Thanks for the fun!

HEY T. I HOPE U HAD AND AWESOME BDAY YESTERDAY 🎉😊
Love the BBQ platters. I wanted you to show the small orange rocker. But all intersting
I would have had to take it.
It's nice your fans have cleaning tips for you! Who knew?
You should have taken the baby rocker that looked like a sled. It’s from the mid-1950’s!
It pained me to see him not investigate further.
👍 love the Channel bro, God Bless you.
Wow, that house had a lot of cool stuff. Love the old vanity case. Thanks for an awesome treasure hunt TS. You're the best!
Can possibly sell golf bags to second hand sports stores like "Play it Again Sports"
One man's trash.. another man's treasure! Great video! 🌿💙
Good score....
We dont have fire hydrants at all in the UK. We have a tiny metal lid in the floor which the fireman lift up to expose their hose connector
Hope your birthday was memorable. That rocker at the first house is a lot like mine, it's a child's rocker and mine is from the 60s just like me. I've kept it all these years just because.
This is after a heavy snow
I remember when you bought your new truck. It still looks good.
I saw someone empty the file cabinet out, turned it empty side up and made Planter.☮️
Good video ♥
Thanks for letting us sift through the piles with you, enjoyed looking! You found some cool vintage flea market treasures today.

That green “stuff” on the copper piping is natural. Its copper rust, called verdi gris. It means its pretty old.

You can paint the seat. I have seen that done and it looks good.
Always good videos, glad you're back
The MCM items out the one house was a good find. The golf were great to keep.
Some of the metal items look hand made.
That house had a lot, unless it was a dual driveway.
Good pick up there Taco! I like the metal stands = good money makers!
Fun day ✌🏻
Hi Taco. Cool finds. Thanks for taking us along. I enjoy the getting out, despite your weather. Lol😂
You could take the drawers out of a file cabinet and put the stuff you pick up in it so you could have more room.
Taco stacks! Taco stacks! Taco stacks! For the win of the day! I appreciate you! Thanks for taking us along! So much stuff saved! Happy birthday Taco stacks!!!
If you get into a tight squeeze again with a filing cabinet, you could roll it over instead of fighting with it.
Hey! New watcher here, about the chair krylon I believe it is makes a fabric spray paint now that is excellent for that chair so don't give up I do believe that would be in your wheelhouse and skill set!

The best stain cleaner I have ever found is Blue Magic. It has gotten out stains that were years old. Ace Hardware used to carry it, but I had to get some from Amazon.
Yes! I like Jan for my birthday on the 12th then January can be gone lol. HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎂
❤ peace ✌️
Hi mate watching your videos from Leicestershire in England, great content mate .
Awesome, thank you!
Thanks
Paint the cushions on the chair. It comes out really good.
I had a friend who would do that..or use Rit dye.
Finding those golf clubs was just as fun in the rain as it would have been on a sunny day 😊

My husband sells golf clubs online through an app. He gets decent money for a club.
Would you share the website/app for the golf club sales? Thanks
I love it when you find stuff that you can actually use for yourself. The set of golf clubs.
i want to give away two desks, but will be ruined as soon as possible with the rain. That orange rocker chair could have been good. Red Robin is YUCK.
Schön , was du alles retten konntest ✝️☮️🙏
Taco if that chair is expensive you could look into having it recovered??
Wow nice finds 👏👌👍
It's a camper shell... just sayin'.
Wow, taco, thanks for the great adventure. Will it rain in out there? Go home, take some vitamins, give celsa a pet and you'll stay warm.😊😊😊😊😊😊
Good Morning Taco, great to ride with you. Wish you lots of good stuff & success $$$$
Hey taco thank you for sharing found it very interesting hope you have a great day and get some rest take care ❤
Thanks for keeping some of the stuff out of the landfill and I'm sure you'll make a few bucks off what you don't hold on to.
Your Gulf experience is very educational, l don't play gulf. Its rude to tell someone to shut up, you never know what you might have learne.
I'm glad you kept all the gulf club bags, its not how expensive they are...its still money spent, also like you said extra gulf bags for friends.
great logic
lets go garbage picking
You did pretty well on that pick. Hope all is well with you. Happy belated Birthday 🎂
My favourite golf balls were Dunlop and pinacle
We've been getting a ton of rain here too in Ohio. Sad everything had to get soaked sitting out.
The only use I've found for golf balls are great targets when I'm on my rifle range. Depending on the rifle, they can explode when hit. 😊
Why don't you park closer to the things your picking up in the trash?
My Husband and son play golf they invited me to go once i had never played well according to them it would be my last time with them anyway. They both said i looked like a dog peeing on a tree when i it the ball and it was embarrassing to them LOL!
My dream pile 😍 the clothing you left though 😢

Me encanta ver todas las cosas lindas y útiles w dejo
