Near Jerusalem: Exploring the Judean Hills and Visiting the Stalactite Cave

The Soreq Cave, also known as Avshalom’s Caves or the Stalactite Caves, is a natural wonder protected as a nature reserve under the National Parks Authority. It is a prime example of "Natural Beauty."
The wonders of the Holy Land go beneath the ground and can be found in magical and magnificent hidden caves with dramatic stalactites. The Stalactite Cave Nature Reserve is located on the western slopes of the Judean Hills, not far from Jerusalem. Here you can enjoy the natural beauty both above the ground and in the underground caves.
These stunning formations have evolved over the years through the gradual dripping of water. It's essential to wear appropriate footwear with good traction due to the potentially slippery terrain. Guardrails are strategically placed throughout the cave, and the path is well-lit for your safety.
The cave's humidity levels range between 92% and 100%, creating a unique environment. With dimensions of 82 meters in length and 62 meters in width, it offers a sizable underground space to explore.
Children often describe the cave as "magical," and a visit here is sure to leave an indelible impression on anyone fortunate enough to experience it.

This is so beautiful. I live southeast Tennessee and this reminds me of come of the caves we have . Chattanooga has Ruby Falls and Raccoon Mountain Caverns. I live close to a town called Sweetwater and we have beautiful cave there called the Lost Sea. You travel to through the cave and when you get to the bottom it has underground lake. It's beautiful. The hard part is climbing back up to the top 😅. If you have a watch that measures distance I bet you put alot of miles on it. The most I ever had on mine was 85 miles in a week. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful video.

Reminds me of the Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico. That's a huge cavern and a long way down. We always take the elevator down. The walk is also a long time so the elevator definitely helps.
