This is one of the most beautiful videos on your channel, the Red NX500, Speeding to the Sunrise, Unexpected Fog & the Condensation on the visor. It's so cool to look at.
I never plan to own an ADV but the RE Himalayan series and this Honda NX 500 is slowly turning me towards them. I don't know why but I find this bike beautiful
This bike in its new avatar has been getting alot of traction mainly because of people's perception towards quality over value for money proposition has been changing slightly. This is clearly not a value for money and it needs to slash down price by about 1.2L to become a value for money product. But even at 5.9L price, people are considering to switch to this bike. Hopefully this one gets enough sales thereby Honda can think of manufacturing this bike in India which drastically reduces it's price. Everyone knows how reliable this bike is across the globe. People have clocked 2L miles without having any issues. That's how bullet proof Honda's engines are.
I would love to consider this bike, but the price tag is pushing me towards Kawasaki Verseys 650 which appears to be a super value for money Japanese adv.
@@sameerkharade7750there are few factors to consider. 1- versys is very heavy. Torque to weight ratio is almost equal to NX. NX is lighter than versys. 2- Kawasaki service interval is 6k kms or 6 months. This is really bad for twin. 3- Kawasaki spares are costlier compare to Honda.
Your video gives a good perspective of how this bike pulls and sounds......I don't feel this bike is that exciting....decent bike for touring....thanks for the video...👍
What's your thought about this bike? for every day commute on a city and sometimes trips with my girlfriend (I'm 1,85 cm height) and running around 120-140 km/h .. ( my options are this Honda, the Voge Dsx 525 and if I'm lucky suzuki vstrom 650)
If I owned this bike I would make a point to bounce on the fuel cutoff line every time in 3rd gear as I enter the highway. You seem to like sitting at around 120 km/h. How does this bike ride at 120 km/h, is it buzzy or smooth at that speed?
Strell chetta, the work you do behind this, you found the perfect time and waited, for that beautiful while riding and the road, simple and subtle, yet soothing ❤

Yes I did take a short test ride for 2 days. Cornering is good in terms of Adv bike standards but not as crazy as sports bike setup. I felt it was pretty stable and personally for me saddling felt great.
from the sound of twin, it feels its very relaxed even at top end, sadly for me personally pricing is at the higher end. For my next bike, my budget is 5 and can extend to max 5.5 (with safety accessories like bash plate, leg guard, engine guard etc)
Confused with NX500 & Z650. Need an upgrade from Interceptor. Should i strech my budget and go for Speed twin 900. I need a settling bike. No upgrades atleast for another 5-6 yrs
Go for Nx500 if you like to tour or the Z650 or Speed Twin if you like to do shorter breakfast rides and the occasion overnight ride. I have a Z650 and I don't recommend it for touring.
NX500 is a good tourer than Z650. Good seating comfort, lower seat height, less maintenance, and overall lighter motorcycle experience. Speed Twin 900 is a better tourer than NX with minor mods like a taller wind screen. But at a cost of higher maintenance cost and, at times, bad service.
@@iamstrell thankyou for the feedback... I don't mind wind in my face on touring.. Infact I like it. Did Bangalore to Trivandrum 3 times and I loved it. No fatigue at all. I fell in love with the time less design of it. That's why am much more leaned towards street twin 900. Does the service cost will become too much, considering it needs once a year service compared to twice a year of Honda
@@prtkmhtBut it's a Honda and usually it swaps little adds ons for a quality build. There's also a very good dealer network with good availability of parts. I am leaning to Honda for my next bike.
I hit 155 kph on my H452 without breaking too much sweat (though not ideal on tubed tyres), was indicating to cross 165 kph. The only difference would be the vibrations. Was expecting the Honda 471 twin to go much harder than this.
This bike has became my favourite since its launch as the older CB500X wasn't looking good to my eyes especially because of less features for its price. This time Honda has given everything required for touring and priced decently well as per Honda's standards. Still its not a value for money. Those who can afford this bike, its certainly a great machine which can be used for a long time.
@@vzvish357 see the if clause will occur until Honda decides to manufacture these beautiful machines here in India which will certainly happen in a not more than 3 years from now as the market has come to India demanding middle weight bikes to get manufactured here in India which will be exported across the globe and we have started seeing this trend happening. So it's just the patience game and it will eventually happen with every global player including the Japanese.
Ive test ridden the CB500X extensively and loved the bike to the core except the price tag...😂 The bike pulled at any higher gears even from 20-30 kmph. Smooth and very very easy to ride and not intimidating to rider by any means. If this NX is made in India and price comes down by 2L, I'll upgrade my CB350 H'ness to the 500.

For longterm Honda is absolutely reliable. But for budget you can choose RE Himalayan 450.
Honda affidabile sicuramente, ma la sella è scomoda, talmente scomoda che la reputo da cambiare.
