You’re literally my role model!!😭 I hope to be on your level one day😔☝🏼i also have a question..I’d like to play professionally one day and I was wondering if you knew what the “best” mouthpiece and ligature would be better to use? Which ones would you recommend? Not sure if you’ll reply..but fingers crossed😅🤞🏼
Hey there! For mouthpieces, it's definitely a personal choice. However, brands that many professionals use are D'Addario (Dr. Nabb uses this brand), Selmer, and Vandoren. The best ligatures is a debatable topic (some people believe that material and design affect playability). But some good ligature brands are Ishimori, Vandoren, BG, and Rovner. Since you are asking these types of questions, I would think that you are wondering about reeds as well. The brands that most professionals go to are D'Addario and Vandoren. I know that you were looking for Dr. Nabb's response, but I believe that he would agree with most, if not all, said.
sfasusaxophone Thanks for the reply. Out of curiosity though, do you prefer the Yanagisawa W010 or Yamaha EXII? I understand it’s a personal choice but just wondering. The selmer is a little too pricey for me😅
Dr. Nabbs tone is awesome!!! Literally my favorite sound from any sax player!
Thank you Edward!!
THE VIBRATO IS SO GOOD!!!!!!
Hey thanks so much!
Sounds great Dr. Nabb! Pennsylvania’s Music Educators association just cancelled its entire 20-21 season... districts, regions, states, everything :(
Thanks so much, but so sorry to hear that! What a bummer!
You should considering record Aria by
Eugene Bozza, I would love to hear your interpretation.
Sounding great as always!! Just wondering, how do you go about breaking your new reeds in?

Great tone, as usual!
What mic set up are you using? I've been looking into recording myself and I'm not sure how to get started.
Love the tone! What is your mp and Reed set up?
Excellent playing! By the way what sax is that?
Thanks! It’s a Selmer Super Action 80 Serie III Gold Plate
