I agree. I play Smite so I do understand the big picture ideas on how you should play. So even though I have never tried Dota 2 I love watching these casts.

I think the reason Daf was stopping all the time was because he kept right clicking the enemy. Rather than targeting the ground around the enemy he's auto attacking.
Yeah, you should always click in front of the hero you are chasing down with bladefury, since if you click directly on the hero, you will end up trying to perform an attack and therefore stopping, and missing all the kills like Daf.

Some people don't realize that blade fury makes your autoattack do zero damage (except against buildings or wards), so they think they're optimising their damage.
Daff clicks on the character and when he auto paths into melee range his character stops. thats why he can't kill anyone with the spin. He need to be clicking passed the player he wants to spin on
No, he is attacking. You can attack during spin, once jug is in range of a melee attack, he attacks (stops for the duration of the animation attack). If you listen closely, you can hear the attack sound)

Honestly, all he needs is use the move command. That'll solve most of these issues, until we're talking about vision stuff. Set your healing ward to a key, move-command your spin and go for 1man omni's just when you hit 6 for easy kills. That's the basis of Jug. From there it spreads out WILDLY, with tons of item builds to go and ways to tackle the game, but those core concepts are pretty sound.

The reason why Daff stops during spins is because he is right clicking the enemy heroes. And because of that, he's issuing an ATTACK onto the enemy. The problem is that the attack animation goes through the spin which causes Jugg to stop himself right next to the enemy as if he was attacking. That's why daff keeps stopping instead of continuing. It could easily be fixed if daff just clicks the ground or issues a MOVE command onto the enemy
Added to that, an attack on an enemy during jugg's spin does no damage, although it can proc on hit effects like bashes, maelstrom, diff blade etc. But basically, every single episode it seems there is something that Pyrion Flax just doesn't know about and it's super annoying but I can't look away. Good content.
@@LochyP It is so that you can still hit towers as you are spinning, its great actually and is one of the reasons Jugg can push so early on. He can know he is magic immune for some hits on tower and then back when he gets low to use his healing ward to great effect.

I did exactly what Tom did. I bingewatched all the Scrub Dota on TDD, then I downloaded and played Dota 2 for the first time in almost 8 years. Keep 'em coming, loving this content!

God this one was a huge trip haha. I really thought they were going to lose this one when Daf dived into the fountain. A lot of really... um... interesting builds in this one. Thanks to TI, the streams of Dota recently, and most importantly these casts, I have finally reinstalled Dota 2 and am going to actually try to learn it this time around. Hilarious stuff and I can't wait for the next one.

So for those who don't know, Daf is auto-attacking while spinning, causing that movement stop that they are freaking out about. if you just keep moving with the target while spinning and not attack the target, then you dont stop moving at all and can get those kills that daf has been missing.
I agree with Pflax about DAF 100% I am just as frustrated. xD Not with the not having fun, But when you have a win in the bag take that win expecially when you have so little of them
Daff once said "I feel like a pro player in a newb player's body." There's the problem in a nutshell. He said that to a high-MMR player who was trying to helpfully coach him, but Daff was actively ignoring the advice, saying I Know Better Than You. Daff is a newb in a newb's body but he's so conceited that he won't admit it ... but worse than that, he's an arrogant newb who blames everyone else despite being a terrible player ... but worse than THAT, he's a bad team-mate who throws games & is constantly toxic to everyone around him. Can this series just give up on Daff and start following Tom or Briony who are actually pleasant to watch?

I can tell you exactly what is happening with Daff's Jugg spins. He is spinning then right-clicking the hero he wants to kill, so when Jugg gets to the hero he right-clicked, it stops because the order is complete. I used to do the same thing many moons ago.
Daf keeps right clicking the enemy which makes him stop. The blade fury aoe is smaller than the auto attack. A Jugg had to click ahead of the enemy while the fury is going.
what daff is doing, is he's not clicking PAST his spin-target, he's clicking ON his spin target. so when he reaches it, pathing stops. that is quite a small, but huge impact mistake on such a char :P
No wonder Daf is so bad if he doesn't know basics like not right clicking the hero and just move clicking past them as Jug when spinning after all this time 😂, love the casting though and great to see a rare Tom appearance!
