How many 100ah batteries can you daisy chain with this 1250? And if I plug it on the wall, will it charge all batteries including what's inside the Yeti?
Hi - I really like my Yeti 1250 but I need more capacity. If I got a 200 Ah AGM battery and bought the permanent kind of connectors, does the current run both ways? i.e. with the auxiliary battery plugged in to the Yeti, if I'm charging the yeti via solar or wall socket, will the auxiliary battery also charge? Or do I need a totally different way to charge it? Also, what will the battery display 100% full for a really long time even though the auxiliary battery is draining down? Would one battery drain down faster than the other or do they drain down equally? Thanks!
Brad Herder did you ever get an answer on this? I chained my 1250 to a sealed agm battery. I’m pretty sure the aux battery is not getting charged when the 1250 is plugged in.
@@jburg195 did you work it out? I just chained a new VMX to my Yeti 1250 and it doesn't seem to be charging the battery at all - I can't imagine the VMAX is at 100% out of the box?
Moonlightdriver_777 sorry, I misunderstood your question. I have charged it separately and chained it (and got better life/longevity). But, it does not appear to be charging when I charge the Yeti (via the chaining cable).
+Ed noyb If you have a Costco in your area keep a look out they normally have a GoalZero roadshow about twice a year picked my up there for about 900-1000$ and i love mine. has saved my freezers on a power outage runs a big upright freezer and a fridge for 24hrs with no input
Okay. Let's say I was in an extreme emergency but I had prepared. Would it be theoretically possible to connect say 3 deep cycle batteries in parallel to the back of the Yeti 1250? And, do you make a 3 kW version?
they have it its the lithium ion version but way fucking expensive not even worth it........ unless your made of money then..... I guess... you might be willing to spend the extra cash.....
I was planning on building my own system until I saw this. Wondering if I can wire this into my vehicle as a portable dual battery system, say with a dc-dc connector to Isolate and able it to charge when the vehicle is on?
Hi Stephan, Thanks for reaching out. We have tons of people wire our Yeti's to their vehicles. We'd suggest reaching out to our solutions center team at 1-888-794-6250 Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm MST and they can help with guiding you on this.

Moonlightdriver_777 never received an answer and never had any resolution.
@@jburg195 thanks mate - but did your Yeti charge the chained battery? Or did you need to use a separate charger? Cheers :)

Is it ok to put different size batteries on?
Any plans to do vids of perm installs such as in the vanlife vans or boats or off grid homes
Wade Smith Yeah we are definitely talking about that.
When are you going to get more ring terminal adapters in?
What the "H" is a Yeti 1250, I thought you were discussing a 12 volt refrigerator/freezer.
Ed noyb It's a portable solar generator. Check it out here www.goalzero.com/yeti1250
Goal Zero Very Nice but also very expensive.

does this work on the yeti 1500?

Ponyfier This 1250 is the biggest we make. But yes it should be possible.
Goal Zero Consider a 3kW version.
