- This is the very final game of all of Kirby Super Star Ultra. After countless videos of Meta Knight & many, many Helpers, the Super Tuff Pink Puff & Super Star of the show, Kirby, finally makes his triumphant return to finish off this whole game once and for all!

The True Arena is a much, MUCH harder version of The Arena, and possibly the hardest challenge in the entire Kirby franchise! Keeping reading this to learn why:
All of its bosses & minibosses are those that are exclusive to this Ultra remake of Kirby Super Star. As such, Kirby will only face anyone that appeared in Revenge of the King, Helper to Hero, & Meta Knightmare Ultra, as well as a final boss exclusive to The True Arena, itself!
Even the Rest Area is less friendly. Instead of 5 Maxim Tomatoes, you only get 5 regular tomatoes that only heal you a little bit like any other normal Food Kirby can eat, and these don't get replaced, either.
Also, switching to a different ability is more limited, as one of the two Copy Pedestals will always be the adorable-but-completely-useless Sleep ability
To further reflect the higher difficulty of this mode, while Kirby preferred using Fighter ability in The Arena's opening, he has now switched to the even-more aggressive Hammer ability for The True Arena's opening, which is why I start this mode off using that ability the whole time.
All of the bosses & minibosses of The True Arena are randomized except for the Final Four, the first 3 of them always being Masked Dedede, Wham Bam Jewel, & Galacta Knight.

If you manage to defeat the Galacta Knight as Kirby, then following your flight to the last boss, a cutscene shows Marx's defeat in Milky Way Wishes.
Marx is now just out there in space, either unconscious or maybe even dead. The pieces of NOVA that he destroyed then start to be absorbed by him, transforming him into a more powerful version of his boss form of MWW.
He's now called Marx Soul, and he seeks deep revenge on Kirby by fighting him in what I can amount to being a strange, colorful black hole. This is the very last boss of Kirby Super Star Ultra!

All of Marx Soul's attacks are either stronger versions of the ones he had before, or completely new attacks, such as splitting into massive energy balls that race across the screen, or multiple paintballs that rain towards the ground in order to hurt poor Kirby.
When Marx Soul dies, he let's out the most horrific scream I've ever heard in any Kirby game, along with having a gruesome face that splits into two, all before blowing up and causing the area around Kirby to blow up as well.
I don't know how Kirby managed to escape that, but all that matters is that he did, and thus crowned the champion of the TRUE Arena.
If you can beat Marx Soul & win The True Arena for the first time, you'll unlock a Special Bloopers video for some of this game's cutscenes.

Well it is powerful.
As soon as you lose hammer or get hit in the masked dedede fight you lose bc the walls destroy copy ability stars.

oi mate, the game is practically unplayable without it.
It is, but there's a way more effective method for defense. If you have the hammer powerup and do a dash attack at the enemy, you have invincibility frames while you pass through the enemy, so you can attack while also being perfectly protected. You also go a bit slower when you use the dash attack, so you can direct your character anywhere. You can also use the dash attack ability for dodging the paint balls that Marx throws, and that's usually how I dodge them.
Oh, I and I have the 8th fastest time on record for the True Arena as of today.

When I was a kid I had to abuse Stone to beat ANY of the arenas.
Been playing this game again because I never beat it's True Arena. If I can beat Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot's True Arenas, I think I can beat Super Star Ultra's True Arena no problem.
I like using stone for the true arena and it works well thanks to the invicibility but once I get to Galacta Knight it all goes wrong

I also use stone for the invulnerability xD and if, Galacta Knight is really difficult with that. It took me longer to defeat him than Marx.

I swear hammer does so much damage.
Yeah, hammer has always been kinda broken. In fact, from Return to Dreamland on, the fire prepping the hammer flip does damage now.
Squeak Squad’s pause screen flavor text for hammer says:
“Instant KO, it’s almost unfair.”
So basicly, the mechanics to hammer is rediculous. While in dash b, you are invinsible for the duration and the up b is one of the highest damage dealing moves in the game (which of course is suplex, having the highest damage move).

Actually Hammer Flip deals more damage, with Suplex's attacks being the immediate second. Hammer Flip's damage can reach a hundred(!) while every Suplex move (sparing the Down-B, which deals 10pts) deals 70pts.
Actually, hammer flip does 80 damage. This can be proven by Computer Virus. This is a fact confirmed by WiKirby.
When he talks about Suplex. He means the star throwing damage ontop of the dash attack on opponents head move. Which in turn yes.

I will always remember the first time I beat the True Arena. It was 2 am on Christmas morning, and I couldn’t sleep for obvious reasons. So I popped in Super Star Ultra and after several attempts, I finally beat it. Somehow, I did it without waking my dog up.

man, every time i played this i didn't used the guard or the invincible hammer attack in that way. I learned to beat this without them and i feel kinda fool and op at the same time

Mine is 4:38. Too bad that I couldn't record it, my Emulator was having a brain-fart that day. I use Fraps, the thing locks-on constantly saving random screenshots with no way to do anything. I use the built-in Movie, game crashes. Ugh.
6:01 Up to this point, I KNEW who the Secret Final Boss was. When I saw *ONE LEFT*, I freaked out. I memorized his face, and it looked familiar. So I made a comparison with the creature’s face and a familiar face. And that’s when I knew....it was Marx. He had a wider mouth, a tongue sticking out, and I thought either Gooey was secretly a villain and thought of this plan all along, or King Boo would have been behind this. Turns out neither were right. Remember how Marx got killed by Kirby cuz he sent him to Nova? Well.....
Btw, his attacks and Drawcia’s attacks are similar, and it looks similar cuz Marx is KINDA looking at the player..? It’s hard to tell since he’s so derpy. I was afraid at first, but when I saw the derpy face still there, I was laughing so hard that I was crying. Well, it didn’t scare me THAT much, but when it went to the *ONE LEFT* screen, I IMMEDIATELY turned down the volume cuz creepy music. I also thought he would have different music, but turns out, no. It would have been cool, though, like it would be more of a surprise, but no. I also didn’t expect his scream. Now every time I beat or SEE someone beat Marx Soul, I’ll turn down my volume.

Ok I have to make two points here. One: Hammer has always been my favorite weapon throughout the game because of how much damage it causes and tbh it looks pretty badass (in a cute way). So when they recommended the hammer for the true arena I KNEW it was gonna be hard. Two: Many other gameplays of the true arena that I've seen are very slow, which I can understand but it feels more exciting when you are fast at defeating the bosses. The point of me saying this is that your way of playing is so similar to the way I do it, fast and to the point. I commend you for that dude 👍

Yes, but Drawcia's Soul came out right after you beat her, whereas Marx Soul is a separate fight.
when i was really young, i didn’t know marx soul could’ve been a thing so i thought he was some sort of secret new boss during the opening cutscene.
I always use Plasma. It does quite a bit of damage, the only downside being you have to charge it up like you would Spark in other games.

You gotta be EXTRA careful with Marx Soul. Even with the best ability in the game (Which I don't know what it is), he will seriously mess you up if you're not avoiding all of his attacks. Trust me, I'm an extra careful Arena freak, and I STILL AFTER 9 YEARS have not beaten Marx Soul. Word of advice: Watch out for the Kahme-hahme-ha laser.

The best would be either the Hammer or the Bike.
Using hammer I’ve beat galacta knight and Marx soul easily neither are that hard anymore, just keep spinning into galacta knight and learn the pattern Marx has, once at half health he’ll do things more randomly, but always does laser after ice bomb.
Honestly the trouble isn't them themselves, it's getting to them with sufficient resources, at least for me
the laser isn't a consern but the black hole? yeah thats the one you have to be careful

It kinda pains me how Waddle dee is in the normal Arena and not in True Arena, he's in King's Revnege, where are the other revenge bosses are
The first time I tried this, I got all the way to galactic night but died because low health (I had abused the hammer spin and wasn't actually that good of a player), so this was the first time I saw the final boss fight. Holy cow.

on my third win of the true arena, i was astonished. i beat marx soul without getting hit. best time is 7:43:67

Disagreed completely, especially with the Hammer, he isnt that hard, Marx Soul can be a lot bigger pain
Galacta Knight took me at least 10 times to beat, but I got Marx Soul on my first attempt. However, when I finally beat Galacta Knight, it felt really easy. I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like Galacta Knight has WAY more health than all of the other bosses.
