I'm a current student at Princeton's School of Public and International Affairs, where Amaney Jamal is dean. She is a fantastic dean, and has navigated the intensely complex and emotional aspects of the current war in Israel and Gaza better than any other. Proud to have her as dean, and for this exceptional interview.

This is one of the very few insights based on scientific facts and taking no side during a very intense, to say the least, time.
A mere two thousand something views and zero comments after 4 days online.
Nobody is interested in understanding what’s going on. Maybe that’s part of the problem too.

People are too eager to be pro or against something but they really do not want to understand the problem 😢!!!

Palestinians must build viable government institutions in the face of Israeli settlements. This is the only thing Palestinians actually have control over. Prof. Jamal rightfully advocates for a peaceful means of ousting Hamas but this can only be done by Palestinians. Prof. Jamal advocates for the Int. community to facilitate a peaceful solution but the ability of outside parties to create viable Palestinian government institutions is very small.

If 20% support armed struggle is it reasonable to hope for peace? I suppose it depends on how many of those people are willing to pick up arms.

Is the indiscriminate attack of civilians supported by more than 20% of 🇮🇱🤔????
