Hi Michael, I remember from 70 years ago. Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear,Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair. Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn't Fuzzy Wuzzy. FW, Lost his hair in a Noth Pole barber chair ,FW wasn't Fuzzy Wuzzy. All the seals in Hudson Bay, envied Fuzzys fuzz ,but when they cut his fur away he wasn't what he used to was.

Van Wert is on The World's Longest Yard Sale. I've done the sale 3x, but I've never made it that far north. I hate driving through Chicago. Although, truth be told, I probably prefer it to New York or Boston. Wow! That wallpaper! When you were looking at things in the art museum, I laughed when you and I both said "hmmm" at the same time.
Van Wert is my home town. I have great memories growing up there- nothing like growing up in a small town in the 60’s and 70’s. It is quite a historical community as well. 1st County library is beautiful. There are so many historical buildings in the downtown area that are being funded for a revitalization effort. I have family that is helping in this endeavor. I am proud to call it my hometown.
Micheal & Richard I am thoroughly enjoying your road trip😉it's so interesting how different regions of the US has their own little niches I would love to do a road trip across the US and go thru all these thrift/antique malls and see what everyone has to offer. If you ever come back this way, stop in Highland Indiana. We are just off of I-80/94. There are several thrifting stores along the old downtown...and America's Antique Mall right off the highway at Indianapolis Blvd.

I haven’t been to Van Wert in a few years. There used to be one more shop downtown, don’t know if it’s still there. I was just in this Ft Wayne Mall last week. Prices were a little high and a lot of new items. I see the lights on the top of the Sears Tower. OMG. Too much traffic for me. 🥺The bathroom wallpaper with the cameras was disturbing, but the paper cake was cool.
I LOVE Chicago!! Shopping at used to be Marshall Fields, fantastic building, worth the trip just to see it. The museum's. Oh, how I miss it living in East Tn!!! Love its history.

were you able to catch a glimpse of the river along wacker drive---it's dyed kelly green for st. pat's day. You need to spend three days here at least to do the city justice---one cool mall is the Lincoln antique mall. And in terms of a "Springfield" like flea market is the Kane county flea market, the first weekend of the month. I have not been yet. yes, the glass /crystal effect of the buildings at night is a cool scene. (i have not seen any Matrix movies)
Thank you for taking us on a road trip!! It was very relaxing and enjoyable. I loved the brown slag . What a beautiful sofa. What fabric will Rich use on it? I have an Eastlake rocker my husband restored and had upholstered in a tapestry fabric. I really didn’t care for the fabric until it was on the chair, but it really came out beautifully.
At first I thought that was Richard talking, not Siri. Hahaha I bet you’re a blast on a road trip! That large vase/jardiniere in the brown tones was gorgeous! I would be very poor if my stores had the variety that yours have for sale.

Richard, Fiesta has a tent sale a couple times a year. Everything is a second with slight defects but dirt cheap.
