What a blast from the past! I've been to Iceland as a kid and it has left a lasting impression for sure. I don't think there were as many tourists back then, mostly sheep. And the main coastal road around the island was still a gravel road with little streams crossing it every other kilometer. Looking forward to more installments of this trip. Such gorgeous footage with your excellent camera equipment!
Absolutely breathtaking the vistas that mother nature has provided for us. So happy to see your adventures. Keep it up! love from Ohio, USA (birthplace of people trying to escape Ohio)
We did the ring road around the same time of year in 2020, unforgettable experience. Most naturally beautiful place I’ve been and so many unique landscapes
I hope you get to see some stuff outside of Keflavik / Reykjavik! There will be videos from Reykjavik at the end of the trip, but I found the city quite mediore compared to everything else.
Iceland really has its own unique environment. It gives me the same amazement as I had with your New Zealand videos. A beautiful tundra vibe, but what I can see from your experience it can be quite warm and lush as well. Just no high vegetation. What was the temperature like?
Just stay tuned, there is also boreal forest in the Eastern part, in one of the upcoming videos! We were also saying it’s similar to New Zealand, perhaps more intense and packed. Temperature was between 10 and 20 C or so, and that was supposed to be the warmest time of the year.
iPhone 15 Pro Max. We tries using pro cameras but we have ended up feeling that this is the best compromise between quality and convenience / size for travelling.
@@underflowR it looks amazing im surprised how well it captures the scale and terrain! Btw would you reccomend the same vehicle again for what you guys did?

Oh wow that sounds quite the experience! It’s definitely much easier now, curious to see how many places you will remember or recognize 😊

🤭 Hi from across the lake!

Absolutely agree! Now I want to go back and drive it in a campervan, but slower this time 😊
Awesome place! I always do a stopover in Iceland/Keflavik when going from Europe to Boston. ❤

@@underflowR The city as such does not have much flair - but some really great bars and restaurants. Also, the people are sooo friendly.

I was there in 02 and loved it so much iam glad you got to experience it
I'm planning a trip to Iceland too. How many days you guys spent there?
We spent almost 9 full days there and it was hardly enough if you want to go around the island on the ring road like we did!
Yay
What kind of camera did you use to film this?
iPhone 15 Pro Max. We tries using pro cameras but we have ended up feeling that this is the best compromise between quality and convenience / size for travelling.

I don't remember the exact name, but it's an F-road leading from Road 32 to Gjáin waterfall!
