Actually your grade 11 results don’t really matter that much but some certain universities like Stellenbosch your provisional acceptance is based on them but some universities like UCT uses them to monitor your progress but will make final decision on your final Grade 12 results just like any other universities. Your grade 12 results are your make it or break it.
Did you apply anywhere else besides UJ because ince you on a waitlsiing at UJ, it's a 70% chance that you will get admitted. But all the best, you might be fortunate ❤
They put me on waiting list on 2019 and after their registrations, they rejected me because of space. You must be aware that the reason people are on waiting lists is because the space is already.
Thing is iam repeating matric so i had a problem applying at other universities since they had my previous results so i managed to apply at uj only. They rejected my second option and wait listed my first option. 😭😭😭 They said they will contact me during jan/feb.

In most cases, you get rejected so I would really advice you to apply with you grade 12 March or June results rather than using your grade 11 results.
