I never made a knife, is this knife considered a full Tange knife since it was welded together?
Technically yes, because the metal extends the full length of the handle. But no weaponsmith worth spit would *ever* do what they've done welding cheaper metal to the already junk steel Damascus blade. This video is a "What Not to Do" reference for making knives. Like the "heat treatment", followed by burning the living shit out of the blade on a stone wheel afterwards.

Alter the process and you could have a world standard knife. No welding the blade should be one peace. Someone also mentioned heat treatment. Add in an even grind and you could safely charge twice the price.

Blade is Damascus Steel - Handle is regular steel. Making it in one piece would be wasting Damascus.
Ultra low quality stuff. No heat treatment. No symmetry in bevels.
The heat treatment is done in 07:57
@@Nussof He means tempering it which is part of the heat treating process. It relieves stress from the quenching. But as a skinner knife probably ok.

If a knife looks good on a shelf doesn't need to be heat treated, if you're not going to use it

Those are certainly hand crafted but at what cost. Those are some of the most dangerous conditions I have ever seen including child and I mean child labor to make them. Very little to no safety precautions by the workers. I guess everyone has to make a living somehow.
