His path is fine, we just need a 5 star version of him that has the strength of a 5 star. Right now I think of him as an honorary 3 star along with other dumpster fire characters like Arlan and destruction Trailblazer.
He could stay Ice Hunt in his limited version (like Herta will probably stay Ice Erudition). It wouldn't make sense to change his Type if his techniques revolve in Ice, and Hunt fits him very well while also making him different from Jingliu

Can't really say Yanqing and Yunli were just 'only stalling' when even Feixiao admits that they took care of Hoolay before she did anything. Also, the final fight between Feixiao and "Hoolay" took part in Feixiao's inner mind, and where Hoolay wasn't fighting on his own capabilities but as a Feixiao V2. I don't think you can powerscale correctly in such a scenario, and that is probably what the developers aimed to do as well.

The decabarrier blocks/Redirects incoming communication while active, with only the General herself being capable of circumventing it, and that takes an expenditure of energy. there was no way to reach jingliu, loucha, or anyone else on the Yuque during that time. Again, if you paid attention to the story, you'd know this.

Yanqing learning from Jingliu, a master of his master is cool. It's nice that he doesn't really too much on his flying swords which honestly makes him weaker in a way since he doesn't have the strength whenever he loses one of them. With how it works, I bet his future would be him becoming one with his blade and mastering his control over ice.

I'm still mad we didn't get any Jingliu during this quest...not even a cameo or a flashback with her only thing we saw was a glimspe of her, I get it new characters need to be the spotlight of their quests but Jingliu really probably has the least screentime in the entire game and she's my favourite!
I used Clara as Main-DPS. Worked really well against his mechanic since Clara counterattacked every time + March Follow Up moved Hoolays Counter in my favour. Add Robin for Buffs and Luchoa for Sustain
Disapointing. Why does hyv keep failing to deliver a sastifying moment for their story? A suddenly weaken hoolay? A suddenly powered up yanqing with the power of flashback? Weak af combo attack moment from the trio. Why bother giving all the feat to hoolay if this is how they want to kill that canine off
Hoolay wasn't suddenly weakened. It was the payoff to Jiaoqui's inner fight after being Hoolay's hostage. Jiaoqui "sacrifices" himself and that's what gives Yanqing and Feixiao the window to defeat him. And even then, Hoolay's defeat was part of his plan, as he admits after his death because he recognizes that he wasn't as strong as he was 700 years ago and that the borisin needed a stronger Warhead. As soon as Hoolay learned the truth about Feixiao from Jiaoqui, his entire endgame became about making Feixiao his successor. Dying was always his plan at that point because in order to make her the new Warhead, she needed to eat his Crimson Heart, which he forced her to do right after this scene.
