- I am so glad that my assorted RSnav videos have been helpful to so many people. As a result I have gotten a number of questions and done my best to answer them. I decided to do this video to help make it easier to find the answers to a few of the questions I get over and over again.

Good call on making sure the correct car type is selected after an update. Great video man. This will definitely help others with these common issues. I cant wait for BT support so I can use my Carista app from the RSnav

Question - when you hit your engine button does the RSNAV screen start at the Audi MMI screen or RSNAV(Android) screen? Mine starts at the Audi MMI screen and I can't figure out how to make it start at the RSNAV screen. It did only the very first time I turned it on.
Mine always starts on the RSnav screen. If I had to guess that is likely some sort of setting. When I have some time I can look but you may want to cruise around under the factory settings menu.

Do you prefer the 10.25” or the 12.3” ?

I like the 12 because I run split screen a lot so the more screen real estate works for me. That said the 10 inch makes it easier to see/access the hazards and technically the screen is supposed to be better in sunlight.
@@B8S4Carbon is the 12 really good enouth or sometimes you think " hmm I don't see that well" ?
Changing the car on the display. My screen doesn’t look like yours with the car with all the apps circling it. How do I even get to that screen?
Just bought the rsnav with rear cam for my s5. I have a manual 2014 no oem camera. Will the rsnav rear camera still work with my manual no oem cam?
I believe so you will just need to tap in to the reverse light or something else with good power. Then choose the correct camera within RSnav
Yes if you have a aftermarket camera you will need to get that installed. Then have the RCA video cable connected to the rear camera lead of the RSNav. Then you will need a 12v trigger from something like the reverse light in the taillights. Run that to the "360 DET" lead on the RSnav wiring harness. Select 3rd party camera(360 DET) from the options of backup cameras and you should be good to go.
So wait, how does it play music without Bluetooth? I have a 14 A7 and was looking into one of these.

So it plays music through the Aux connection by directly interfacing with the MMI wiring in the Audi. Definitely a upgrade versus the standard entertainment stuff in the 13-15 models.
@@B8S4Carbon so I’d just have to run it through the Aux then? Or does the newer model have Bluetooth?

Does it has DRM module (Widevine CDM)? Request for stream TV (Netflix doesn't work without it)
Netflix does work on my unit. I had to get a specific compatible version but it works.
Just installed mine. Can you verify for me that RSNAV audio only covers through aux? Meaning, I can't listen to the Audi FM radio and have GPS audio at the same time.
Well yes and no. The RSnav audio is just Aux. However the center speaker patch I think will allow you to hear guidance from the RSnav when using normal MMI functions. I know it works for when you are using the Audi bluetooth calling but I want to say it work during things like FM radio. if you have the center speaker hooked up and enabled you may want to try it. I have it disabled because it also means that everytime you switch from the RSnav to the MMI your music will stop. I stream most of the time and use Waze so it was easy for me to just turn that off.
@@B8S4Carbon I have the Concert and did the center speaker patch. If I have it on FM and Google maps is speaking I don't hear Google maps, just what sounds like line noise. I think I need to contact them. Thanks.

You need to change the UI to the old one then you can customize the center icon. Changing the center icon is covered at 3:14 in my RSnav FAQ video. Changing to the old UI is covered in my Latest RSnav S3 software update video on December 23rd 2020 around 6 minutes in. The option is under system factory settings, android settings if I recall.

Do this system have an audio output?
Yes models have left and right RCA audio out.

Does it has mirror link? To mirror the phone screen?
It has both android auto and carplay which will mirror apps from your phone
@@B8S4Carbon I already have carplay in my car. I don't wanna mirror app, I wanna mirror the screen. I want a better and bigger screen, with the possibility to mirror the screen of my phone on it. If the rsnav could do that, I would buy.
Which app was that? And which obd2 device do u use?

@@B8S4Carbon thanks a lot! I meant the app that you used with OBDII the one in which you disabled voice command? im having the same issue.
also you're using the app wirelessly. the OBDII you linked above is wired. or is it both?
@@aalajaji1 He used ODBELEVEN for wireless coding (obdeleven.com/en/) and then USB UDB for Torque (when not coding).
