...and then I woke up...all before in the Dream was just that DREAM...ILLUSION...dreams are what we wake up from. The world holds no illusion for the old men to whom the pain and futility of life has permanently scared them.........is this then THE END...of LIFE...of EVERYTHING?..perhaps...as waking is an end to sleep...
The Coens love movies and movie-makers. The Wizard of Oz might be one such film. It was the most vibrant and colorful film of its day. At the very end of The Wizard, the lead character Dorothy awakens and we realize that everything that transpired on the screen during the last hour or so was a vivid dream. Same for Sheriff Bell. He dreamt about losing a bunch of money he was supposed to be taking care of. That's when we realize it was all a dream.
Yes and no. Yes because the coin toss was offered and she refused. No because she was dead the moment Chigurh offered a trade (money for her life) to her husband and he refused, thereby sealing her fate. She could have saved herself, same as the gas station attendant, by having played the game and won.
@@qb335 As evidence you can take the fake that Anton checks his shoes as he's leaving the house after she refuses the toss. He' s checking to see if he's tracking any blood.
i always assumed she refused the coin toss in movie, cuz it cuts away after. in novel apparently she tries it and loses. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_Country_for_Old_Men_(novel)
Perfection, I'm sure even the director would sign every word you said. One of the best movies of all time.
Appreciate the kind words
Thorough and spot on. Well done.

कानून के राज में न्याय नहीं होता, केवल निर्णय होता है।
In RULE OF LAW there is no justice , only verdict .
I’m sorry I think I missed something, but one question did she die by the coin toss?

I'm sorry to say, this analysis doesn't do it for me; long winded with few original insights
Then make a better one
Amazing
