I have been watching since you started TH-cam. I was a fellow youtuber who had to quit for health reasons and we started at the same time. I have still watched your videos and enjoyed seeing your kids because of how you raised them with intention and encouragement to learn and share good values. You don't see that a lot these days! But we're also entering a time where we are learning more about the effects of showing kids on social media and I really applaud your decision. It makes me want to support your channel even more. So, do what is right for you and your family, and the right people will keep supporting it.

I'm always late watching your vidoes, but I have really loved them all! You have two babes the same ages as mine and your videos have really helped me get ideas for my own kids as they grow. So helpful, so thank you! And also, they've helped in crazy ways since there's usually something going on in my life and your video addresses it! (ie. the herniated disk and now needing new sheets! So glad to see a new video! I can definitely understand why you left Instagram. I was on there for a few years, but I always found it kind of draining and even addicting. I’d plan to get on there for ten minutes and waste an hour! But TH-cam has never given me as much of that feeling. I think it’s because it takes a little more effort to watch whole videos, where as Instagram is just too much fast information. I think it’s definitely good to be very intentional about social media use!
That is so true… it is so easy to scroll forever on Instagram, whereas I feel like I’ve had enough after watching one 20 minute vlog here and there, and can easily turn it off!

It is pretty crazy what some people are willing to share online with a ton of people. I've still been going back and forth on whether or not I'll be doing a birth vlog but I DO know that the actual "entering the world" part, I will not be showing. I feel like that's a really personal thing and should just be shared with your partner and whoever else was there.

Thanks for posting an update and I agree with your thoughts on the girls, the world is changing at a rapid rate these days and not necessarily for the better. I deleted my IG last summer and have not regretted it for a second. Ace is as precious as ever! Love the new sheets, definitely think you should flip the top sheet over so you can fold it down. And yes would LOVE a Costco video. We just joined in January and are having so much fun discovering new things there. I noticed your cross necklace immediately, it’s beautiful! Don’t ever apologize for being so passionate about God! I’ve been in church my whole life and felt this same way. I just read the whole Bible last year and it was neat to see things come together. I actually have that book, seamless but have never read it so I will definitely do that!

Hi Cara! It was nice to see your video pop up😊 i completely understand with not showing your daughters online, and not having instagram. It does suck that there are evil people out there, and I have to read the book Seamless because same here, there are such atrocious things happening to innocent kind people everyday, it makes me question why as well.... I hope it helps me too. I would love to see a Costco haul, or recommendations. I too keep an eye out for bad ingredients and try to keep healthy options for my family as well 😊 I love watching the Nanny and I love Lucy, such classic funny shows. For Valentines my husband and i exchanged cards and our daughters made crafts. I have a 7yr old in 2nd grade and a 13month old❤❤ they are my light! I hope you continue to post, even if it's for book recommendations, crafts to do with kids or Costco hauls. Have a great day😊

I deleted my Instagram a year and a half ago, and it's been such a blessing! I honestly don't feel like I've missed anything. My husband and I spend more time together, and I've been able to enhance other areas of my life that were taking a back seat. So glad the hiatus has been good for you as well.
Also, I am so glad to hear how your relationship with God has grown through your study of God's Word! I can totally see how serious you having been taking your salvation and your desire to know more. Don't be discourage to learn that the more you learn, the more you don't know, haha. Thank you for your vulnerability and encouragement to me and so many other people.

Right now I'm using Prose for my hair. Definitely not all clean ingredients, but maybe a LITTLE better than the basic stuff out there? But I'm kind of on the hunt for some clean ingredient hair care, too so I'll share when I find something better! ;)

I understand how you are feeling. I did a couple vlogs- and also felt weird. You could always just do mom content without filming days in the life. Such as crafts, mom advice, or even marriage stuff. I enjoy seeing the activities you do with your girls.

Totally understand you with not showing your kids. I started a youtube channel 4 yeas ago and ended up closing the account after a couple of months. Started getting paranoid about sharing my life and my daughter. World seems scarier online. Have to protect our babies 👶

I just started getting into reading the Bible and devotionals and I have been OBSESSED! I will definitely be getting Seamless! It looks like it would be a great read! I’m currently reading The Purpose Driven life extended edition and it’s great because each chapter comes with a 45 minute sermon and bible study worksheet you can print off! I love it! I respect your decision not to show your kids, as they get older you just never know! I just hope you don’t disappear completely! I would love to see a Costco haul 😊

Also, how are you keeping Bria busy when doing Preschool with Quinn?
She loves watching while we do flashcards usually, or I'll get out her own flashcards for her to look through while we do Quinns. And she loves being involved while we're reading books or singing songs, which most of the ones I do for preschool are specific to what Quinn is learning, so Bria is just learning them too! And when Quinn does worksheets I get out a coloring sheet for Bria, but she is about to start the toddler activity book I used to do with Quinn, so she'll have her own "school paper" to do at the same time! If she loses interest in what we're doing she just ends up playing with toys in the room etc. and if she needs me while I'm doing school with Quinn I just have Quinn work on papers for that specific time! :)

I hope whatever decision you come to re TH-cam is one that brings you less unease than you currently feel. Personally, I enjoy your content because I have children who are a similar age and I always feel that your videos give me inspiration of things I can do with them that is also going to help their development. It definitely doesn’t matter to me if I see them on camera or not. What really matters is that you enjoy the content you are creating and have joy/pride in what you put out into the world. Your content has positively influenced my life so far, and whatever you decide to do next, I can only thank you for that 😊

There is a podcast called Feel Better, Live More by Dr Rangan Chatterjee and there is a recent episode called ‘why you can’t stop eating ultra processed foods’. I use a book made for teaching all the basic sounds and words, and she is also a sponge that wants to know what every word is everywhere so that makes it easier haha! :)

i miss seeing your kids, and its sad you have to be so protective of them. but ive been watching a youtube channel that focuses on family vloggers. and the dangers of predators on here. ive told you before what a great mom you are and you are proving it daily by keeping them off. id like to see anything you do lol grocery hauls. books you read to yourself and the girls. theres so many different content you can do that doesnt involve showing your kids. this is the time where the real vloggers figure out how to survive without showing their kids. youre not the only one. i believe theres a way. BUT if you dont want to vlog anymore thats ok too. in todays world of online predators ive had to ask myself.... why do i watch family vloggers? am i part of the problem. truth for me is... my baby is 17. i miss having lil ones around so its nice to be able to come to youtube and see others babies. but id give that up to help keep your kids safe. my two kids grew up on facebook. me sharing their lives vacations everything. ive stopped over sharing there too. i take in account how they feel. and youre 100 % correct... the ones getting mad at not seeing your kids ... are the reasons why you should keep them off. good job mama

Glad to see a new vlog and happy all is well. I’m curious why you chose to continue to do TH-cam when you don’t seem to love it as much as you used to? I don’t mean that to come across as rude. Just genuinely wondering why you continue to share only every month or more, it seems like you might enjoy something else more?
The bizarre thing is also seeing full delivery (you can basically see pretty much everything) and it’s online for everyone to see. And the worst part is a lot of those moms are super conservative and Christian that only wear long dresses. So where is the modesty?

Hi Cara! So happy to hear about your faith journey! That seamless book sounds so intriguing that I'm ordering it as well. 🤗 I also recommend watching The Chosen. They did add a lot of the storylines, but it's nice to see what it would have been like when Jesus was on earth. Incredibly fascinating! (I definitely relate to Simon and his wife, it's crazy. 🫠)
I know you don't care about my opinion, but I totally agree about keeping most of your life/kids private. I think about starting TH-cam from time to time, but then thinking about my girls, I have a hard time starting. 🤷♀️ I do miss just seeing them to get ideas about what they play with/ activities for their ages. My girls are a year younger than your girls so I would pay attention to their activities a year later. 😅
Not sure if you would be comfortable with just talking about their activities/ things they play with in videos? And also, how their relationship is with each other? Again, I also have two girls and I just have a sister myself and we don't get along... so I don't know how to foster good sister relationships.. 🥴

I feel like that still keeps things private for them however much I want it to! Sorry to hear that your sister relationship isn't what you want for you girls! The girls Love each other's company, but that's not to say that there aren't tough moments of course haha. A couple things I try to do to keep a positive view of each other for them is, having them do things for each other all the time. Even just bringing the other one's snack to them etc. instead of me doing it. Also, I try very hard to only say positive things about them to each other, and never blame one of them for something in front of the other etc. I'm not perfect at either of these, but they are things I'm hoping are making a difference! :)
