I don’t always fold AK suited with around 20 BB to an obvious squeeze spot…but when I do, I make it a point to show everyone my cards so I can be ridiculed for being an imbecile.

I was in Vegas for an Eagles game and stayed at the Rio so I could play the deep stack and some cash games. I’ve never seen so many bad cash game players in one spot. If you think the tourney play is bad, now imagine them playing cash in a similar fashion.
Stress causes people to do stupid things. A lot of these people are really nervous about being on tv. I admit it was a stupid move and if you can’t make the smart decisions you have no business being there.

I like when he says ali but Nick has become a bit too dismissive and its not what they were years ago. Too much of this fake act from Nick has to be toned back. He won’t laugh with Ali anymore, he gets way too serious, I get it, that’s their act and chemistry but Nick just way too dismissive and throws in a “ money raises it up with Q10” then proceeds to say nothing at all. This is disappointing.

@@Gos1234567 That AK hand Doyle played he limped pre worn that hand. He probably would have gotten the TT hand to fold if he raised pre then bet flop and turn. Would've won more than lost the amount he did.

Tell me you have never played a big tournament without telling me. Most people in the beginning of big tournaments play one of two ways. Very tight or the wild man/woman those are the ones playing like they aren’t scared to lose.
this is what long tournaments have always been, your just used to watching espn highlights for an hour of each day rather then a complete 7hr livestream.
How do you expect to grow the game when the biggest tournament of the year is stuck behind a paywall that doubles other streaming services for the most part. (netflix, Hulu) Ridiculous.

Isn't it appropriate to just check to the end if someone is all-in in tournament play, unless you have the nuts so you are sure you put them out? Otherwise you might get someone to fold that would have taken them out?
I know a lot of people disagree with me but I really do miss the old World Series of Poker show I spend more time watching the old ones from 2003 to 2011 then the ones that happened now they're just not the same the announcers back then were better to

This used to be fun to watch. Now, it just seems like you’re watching the same table, in real time. They don’t show many other tables, either. It used to be more about the experience, when covering the first day. The real poker footage came later in the tournament.

Much prefer Copag over Faded Spade anyday. FD cards are way to thick and get tiring shuffling them all the time. Other dealers I met agree too. Places are probably getting paid to use them in their livestreams.
Help me to understand: Someone is said to "open-raise", and then the next guy re-raises. Why is that second raise considered a three-bet? Is the big blind considered the "first" bet?
Yes. The posting of the blinds is considered the first bet. Then you have a raise (2-bet), 3-bet, etc.
