@MsVcraft Absolutely! Just be sure to chill or freeze the milk first so that it does not burn from the lye. Also, milk soaps should not be insulated as they have a tendency to overheat.

Great class teach ! Super informative. Had no idea about adding cornstarch. Besides being easier to come by than clay its much less expensive. I have made soaps with Budweiser, Rickards Red & Corona beers after letting them go flatan open jug for a few days & stirring. No boiling. No dryness whatsoever in the bars. Rich luscious lather - great soap. Made the mistake of topping the Corona soap with coarse sea salt & it drew moisture to it for a long time, had to keep under a fan for weeks

@kupunaandmapuana Most all CP soaps do not require a preservative. Arrowroot powder can be exchanged for cornstarch in cooking but not advisable in soapmaking. Arrowroot thickens at a lower temperature and overheating tends to break down its properties. And yes absolutely, you can use carrot juice in place of pureed carrots.

I was delightex to read about the canola, though my recipe had a lot more olive oil, and some. coconut, I did include s percentage of canola, a high quality one, for its specific qualities, like vitamin e, and vitamin c.... and did soap calc, etc. I thought it would never come to trace. I read your chart on oils, especially canola, and voila!! I got the answer I was looking for, and my soap was saved, and it looks really nice! Oh the joys of calculating your own soap recipes... :) p.s.I superfatted with a beautiful avacado oil... Thank you very much, I appreciate your videos soo much! ♡ xo
I really enjoyed this video, but the sound quality is quite low. It is very hard to hear you with volume at 100%. I did not find this issue on the previous videos. All in all, I love your knowledge and the simplistic way of teaching. Thank you
@wdbreezy I love making and using carrot soap! Just not a big fan of eating them. My grandma would tell me that carrots would make my eyes blue + my hair curly. I always wanted straight hair so I thought by boycotting the carrot consumption it would miraculously straighten out... yup, still have the curls :)

While I do enjoy your videos, many of them have such a low volume output that I cannot hear what you are explaining. I am unsure which video conversion program you use however it should have some type of control to allow you to increase the volume without affecting the video. Other than that small technical problem, the videos are great...just getting tired of putting my ear up to my laptop speakers to hear what you are saying.

There is many fake sandalwood Eos,because they have to wait 10 years to cut sandalwood trees. You don't have to buy the most expensive one for soap . If I wanted to start my soap business even $12 is a big expense for 4 5ml sandalwood EO.

I subtract the weight of my liquid additives from my total liquid measurements. Superfatting is usually reserved for oils + butter. hth

You can replace milk with water at 1% to 100% or anywhere in between.

@LavenderLites CP soaps made with correct amount of vegetable additives don't require a preservative.
@SoapObsession You want to make sure that you do not burn the cornstarch with the hot lye water.

Would arrowroot be okay to use instead of cornstarch? Don't like the additives in cornstarch or the fact that it comes from gmo corn. Thanks so much.
