    Cheers Donato. Brilliant video. Congratulations on an impeccably timed run. Looked a fantastic event with great atmosphere.
    Nice to see fellow pacer, Raj. Had a fair bit of correspondence and seen him at a few events over the years. He's a great runner and top bloke.
    Thanks again for an entertaining video. I know there's a bit of pressure with pacing but it looks a very rewarding thing to do.
    Ps. Such a sad story (3:05). I hope the 3 superheroes raised lots of cash for Heartlands Hospital.

      @Chatty Adventures love how people say the course is long. You can guarantee most road eaces are measured correctly. (Apart from Brighton 🤣) It's the fact they zigzagging through people not I the race line or poor GPS that causes the race to be long

    • @PoetWithPace
      @PoetWithPace  ปีที่แล้ว

      Or Manchester a few years back that was short by a few hundred metres. Most of time is GPS, as I hardly see anyone zig zag even at London. Maybe some have slight weaving but bot enough to add to the GPS

      Excellent! I think it is the same route, but not 100% sure. Would be fab to run with you. May be looking at mildly quicker to be pacing a friend, depending how my recovery is from Manchester Marathon last Sunday. What has been your recent 10k times?

    • @daddykornflakes
      @daddykornflakes 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I ran 41:15 on the track in 2019 but am nowhere near to that kind of form right now due to various injuries I've sustained over the past few years and weight gain. I did, however, manage a sub 24 in parkrun last weekend though on a long (by about 50 metres) course, and am hopeful of going sub 23 tomorrow which would be a positive indicator. I also ran 51:13 solo on a very tough, measured 10K course in midweek, and that was what prompted me to enter the Great Birmingham 10K. I paid close attention to your video and referenced it to a map of the 2024 race and it seems to be unchanged from 2023. I've not run in the event for about 6 years.
