@@rkellyonu look its a cool idea, but with the theme of the game being gods/myths, they stand out like a sore thumb (same for transformers/nickelodeon). At least this crossover seems reasonable with gods already having domain over things like fire, light, death, stuff like that. Avatar is a middle ground where it kinda worked, but the art style/character models are just too faithful to the show where they look really out of place (but praise to the models themselves being great).
Don't get me started on the slipknot crossover, that was the most ridiculous and random by a longshot.
@@Prowlzian You cannot say the turtles is a bad cross over when RWBY is right there. I'm a mega RWBY fan and even the cinder skin was absolutely treating with no love that the other crossovers were treated with. The turtle skins are great.

Jace is Yu Huang they said in the reveal, Chandra is pele, Karn is atlas, atraxa is Thanatos, NuWa is Lilliana. But 5 more are coming with one level up skin

Bruh Planeswalkers are literally walking destruction. Them being in smite is perfect. I'm super excited to see Magic in Smite.
This is probably the best crossover i could have asked for but at the worst timing.
Damn! Ajani, Jace, Chandra, Liliana, Garruk and Nicol Bolas! Incredible! The perfect choices 👌 the crossover that we needed.
I can't blame Smite for this since this has most likely been in the works for months, but now is probably the absolute worst timing for this given what WotC is doing right now.
I really want to be excited about this but with everything WotC and Hasbro have been doing of late I just don't know if I can. It's really cool and a much desired crossover just sadly tainted by the greedy actions of the corporation that owns the liscence. At least we can be sure that the Smite team will do everything they can to make these skins as good as possible and worth it to the players, you know, like a company that actually respects their customers and employees.
As a Warhammer fan, we know more than anyone that it's best to separate Art from the artist, or "Product from the Producer"

Idk if I'd prop up Smite. I stopped playing over them not refunding their game glitching and spending 20 dollars worth of premium currency. Literally messaged them the moment it happened, hadn't even played a match. And it was nope nope nope, get wrecked etc... Honestly stopped playing the game after that. For years, played a little when avatar was released lol

This was a crossover waiting to happen for sure since last year
As a decade long magic and Smite player I knew this was going to happen soon or later especially after the release of the transformer skins. There is so much potential for the characters they can used if it wasn't for the issue with WOTC and Hasbro right now, so the fan base might be a little soured. I am excited for this though and can't wait to see if we can get more than just 10 skins. Maybe after a few matches with the skins in the game we can play some commander, pioneer, or some pauper.

So we have Jace, Chandra, and Bolas clear in the trailer, a silhouette of Liliana next to Chandra - cant mistake the head piece. Ajani seems to be on the left end (if it is Ajani and its not for Anhur im screaming) and i cant really tell who on the right end - possibly Garruk? with the spikes and the arm piece?

Garruk is on the right for sure. So far we have confirmation on Liliana Nu Wa, Jace Yu Huang, Karn Atlas, Atraxa Thanatos (so they ain't just pullin walkers), and Chandra Pele. Personally I hope they put Ajani on a character with better suited abilities rather than just going "lion man skin goes on lion man god". Ajani has to be either a tank or warrior imo, it fits him best cuz he protec his friends (well...until he was compleated) and they should involve his aura magic in some capacity since that's his main thing. Not 100% sure who could fit that but they've donce wild things with crossovers like Iroh Baccus.

NuWa is the obvious choice for Liliana but, she already has a similar themed necromancer skin, so I kinda hope they try someone else? Or make the skin feel different in some way. Maybe walk animations instead of hovering, but ever since the RWBY crossover, my expectations are low on that part.

Unfortunately, this was probably in the works for quite some time and they couldn't have known about what WotC would do and at this point I could almost guarantee that too much time and money was invested into this to pull back. At least we know the IP will be handled well by HiRez who actually respect their fans.

Is it just me, or has Smite suddenly realised its potential for turning into what Smash was or Fortnite is, a game with a load of crossovers pitting characters you'd never think of against each other?

I mean, that´s what Smite has always been, a game about a bunch of fictional characters from different places fighting each other
To be fair, after the 30 year debacle, Hasbro has to do everything to get a "good reputation" again, so I will be expecting a lot of different crossovers this year - just to leech on the good reputation of other franchises.
And with the recent OGL happenings they are showing their true colors once again. Greedy selfish lying bastards.

Gisa Ah Puch, Geralf Sylvannus, Geth Khepri, Jodah Merlin. The possibilities are pretty wild with this IP. I feel like Elspeth would fit better for Amaterasu. Oko should be Hera because one of his main things is turning people into animals. I'd go with Tybalt for Loki personally. I am praying for Bolas Cthulhu, the abilities line up so well and the ult would just feel correct for Bolas. I'm also hoping we don't get Ajani Anhur, the abilities don't line up super well and slapping "lion man skin on lion man god" is kinda boring imo, I'd rather see Ajani be a tank or warrior so he can protect his friends just like in MtG. Nike would fit really well imo. Ajani is an auramancer so the big shield could be retooled to look like an aura, maybe a turtle shell aura to reflect his green magic, and the ult could be his Bolas aura or just a big Ajani aura around himself, rend can be flavored as his lightning helix.
