Well, 'acually we can't really tell. Cthulhu. According to what H.P said he came here 175 Million years ago, he must have been very "old" at this point already, given his power and his being. So we are talking billions of years most likely. Tiamat tho is one of the old ones that "Created" the younger gods (The tale of enki) and she was later slain by the son of enki, marduk, who then created the world out of her and Abzu. (In sumerian history) Tiamat is roughly the age of Abzu who is said to have had the lordship of the universe and is Billions of years old, tho it is unclear if he was the first or if he fathered the lordship from someone else.

Gilgamesh even in fate was trained by his father to use many different types of weapons
He can be summoned as saber you know? We've never seen it, but he is a very skilled swordfighter, it just in the classes we've seen him in, Archer and Caster, there's really no need for him to be up close. Talking about that, I'm all in for Saber Gil in a Babylonian getup, withou GoB, but with Ea all the time.
@@heerosagayuy2143 It would be interesting if they used this and his abilities somewhat were like Bellona's. He has multiple weapons he can use instead of just swords. His ultimate could be a combination of all them used at once.

Ah one of the most OP pantheons of all finally arrives to Smite.
Realistically if they went by mythological accuracy the Great Old Ones would win, I'm pretty sure in lovecraftian lore Cthullu could easily destroy the entire world with nothing really able to stop him and he's nowhere near the most powerful Lovercraftian god, in fact Cthullu isn't even a god, he's a high priest. Now I don't know anything about Babylonian Mythology, but I take it compared to actual real mythologies it would be much stronger than the others.

Persephone screwed up her plan by accidentally waking up Cthulhu who then went on rampage against gods only for them all to be Deus Ex Machina by Tiamat. If it wasn't for Tiamat Zeus would be dead And battlegrounds would have to deal with other Lovecraft gods.
Basically the Babylonians were mankind's first civilization thus the first gods were born there. All religions and pantheons who existed and exist now were born from Babylonia so theyre the first gods and judging by their myths incredibly broken as well.
I mean... We've already got a number of pantheons that can completely destroy or control the entire universe, so I don't really think there's much of an argument for "the most OP"

@@mackinner well let me explain it to you then, the biggest problem Smite always had is the poor marketing, this collaborations are an incentive to people that like them to play the game or return to it, I remember a lot of comments saying they would start playing Smite again because of the Avatar battle pass and others from people who e have never playing being interested in doing it. So even if you don't like anime and such others do, also this opens the door for other collaborations in the future.

Holy hell that is some high energy hype. I haven't been playing the game for years, but adding Tiamat like this feels like its about to suck me back.
I’ve loved Gilgamesh since the first fate series with him in it, read up on the epic of Gilgamesh and he’s now my favourite historical person
