My choir and orchestra were rehearsing this piece to perform in a few weeks. That concert has since been postponed until its safe. I'm glad others are playing it, because this music means so much to so many.
Thank you so much, Colorado Symphony, for making this video! It has brought tears to my eyes and filled my soul, each time I have listened. Please continue to make these recordings to share with the public.
Just listening as I head to bed after another socially-distanced and quiet day. Such joy filling my heart as I watch the musicians of my favorite symphony in all the world! Keep up the good work, sharing comfort and peace individually, yet artfully put together into a united masterpiece. Kuddos. I am grateful!
I was so thrilled to receive this in my email today from the CSO (I am a season subscriber and have a Master's in Music in Choral Conducting, taught vocal music for 31 years. My dearest friend from U of N in music is Janet Winklebauer who was chair of the 2nd violins and played with the DSO (old name) for many years. I love our symphony and miss you all so much since the virus close down. Thank you for this!!
Thank you for this! I've seen several that were overly processed and auto-tuned, so I love that this was "live"! So nice to hear real musicians with such great skill and artistry!
I have listened to this multiple times. THANK YOU for providing a bright, enjoyable, uplifting time during these challenging times. And for bringing JOY to my days. I"ll be back to your live concerts. Bless you all. Keep washing those hands.
Thank you! This touches my soul to see the beautiful cooperation it took to make this amazing video and the beautiful music. Thank you for continuing to find ways to share the CO Symphony’s amazing gifts during this time.
Thank you for playing so beautifully for all of us during this stressful time. I must say, the cellist's parrot was so colorful to see and yet so calm.
Thanks to the Colorado Symphony for doing this video. As a classical music lover in another part of the country, also self-isolating, I very much appreciated this.
Despite all the individual and collective challenges which have landed on the doorstep of humanity, we each can play an important part in striving to put what appears to be broken world puzzle pieces back together again with a new sense of harmony and grace like the world has never seen before. Thank you to the Colorado Symphony for demonstrating so beautifully how creativity, joy, companionship, peace and love continue to thrive, despite social distancing. Bless us all as we collectively strive to harmoniously put all the pieces back together again in an even more beautiful display of world diversity.
The arts are what make us human, both in good times and times of difficulty. Everyone of these individuals, everyone of these instruments is unique and different and yet when they come together, they bring peace, beauty and joy. Thank you to each of these musicians for sharing this beauty. May we all learn a lesson that when we come together, in our uniqueness, we can make beautiful things happen. I so enjoyed this amazing rendition of Beethoven's Ode to Joy, last movement of his 9th Symphony. Thank you!
I would have perished were it not for music during this pandemic. I also hold Netflix in awe of keeping me interested in stories and acting and learning something new from most of my viewing. But, music has kept me truly sane.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! to all these wonderful musicians for bringing some wonderful, beautiful joy into our lives during these COVID 19 quarantine times! Love the cellist with the bird on his arm!
Loved this video! Also the bird on the one gentleman's shoulder while he plays is great!
I saw that, too! So cool!!
He must have been trying to live tweet the event.
So glad you pointed it out, I missed it.
I was like, "Hey! That guy's got a fake bird on his...Oh, wait! Not fake!"
okay now I need to watch it again lol
I can't decide what makes this the best: the symphony, the bird, the green screen mountain scene, or Princess Leia
Same!
LOVE the bird! And, the guy on the timpani all by himself, in that big room.
I'm partial to the Flaming Lips poster myself
Had to watch it again, I missed the bird. LOL. Hmmmm, I'm torn which is my favorite
Hate to be that guy, but birds aren't real.
This makes me cry. Thank you , Colorado Symphony! We are so lucky to have our own orchestra!

I became an emotional mess when I saw the bird. That was it for me. My heart just melted 😍😍😍😍😍
I started tearing up watching this. If you'd brought in a full choir, I would have straight-up broken down. Wonderful job, all of you.
