Making a Collapsible Horizontal Bandsaw Extension

- I've been using my horizontal bandsaw to cut a lot of long metal stock lately and I got tired of improvising a stand to hold up the free end. So, I built a custom sawhorse that stores on the back of the bandsaw, out of the way, easy to grab and always the right height.
I used the scrap tubing I cut when modifying my welding cart: • Harbor Freight Welding...
I first had to level out the bandsaw, since the feet and the wheels weren't even. (I chose to lower the wheels rather than raise the feet because I preferred the extra clearance.)
Also, I discovered near the end that the hinges were slipping slightly, throwing off the stand's height, so I tack-welded the hinges permanently into place.

One of the things I like about this video is the way that both name brand AND modestly priced Harbor Freight tools are used together to make something useful.
I like how the support stand hangs on the bandsaw stand when not in use. Great video.

Nice idea and implementation as usual. The only thing that might make this not work fully is if the ground where you put the stand is either higher or lower than where the bandsaw is sitting.

same problem here. Not sure what to do though. Mounting the saw on a large table could also be a nice solution. Its kind of low right now.. and that table could integrate cooling

we have got the exactly the same saw at work i made some stands for it aswell so the stands where exactly the same height i put nuts and bolts at the foot end of the stands

I actually found a spray can half full of a discontinued color that matches it almost exactly. I might do that today.

Nice idea. My band saw has the crappiest legs ever, I've been meaning to do something about it. Don't get stung in the arm pit by a wasp. That'll ruin your day.
