I'm from Czech Republic and I was back in the day so into ice hockey. I was traveling across the country for all the matches, traveled across Europe for some matches and overall I loved the energy even if I traveled for 2 days, saw a match and right after that traveled back home for another 2 days via trains. At first I was doing it just because of the sports itself and being a fan, but at the end I was mainly traveling to meet new people, I always smuggled some Czech beers into the arenas so whoever talked with me at the show had the pleasure of tasting our golden brew

Dostal scoring the ENG would have been a better ending but close enough. This tournament has me hoping the Ducks can poach Necas from Carolina somehow. It's also crazy to me that it took until the bronze medal game for Zelly to get the ice time he deserved, terrible coach.
playing goal for the Ducks would be a living nightmare. 50+ shot a game and Zegras hitting the Michigan on you every practice. Props to Dostal and Gibson
Gibby on the block? Dostie putting up some serious performances. Can he bring that intensity to the NHL next season? Looking forward to seeing what Verbeek and team do this off season
I wonder if Toronto will acknowledge Dostal's existence now. He did deserve the MVP but I doubt he cares. He played like an elite level goalie and made his country proud! With players like him and all the young guns getting experience it will be just one to two more season and the Ducks will be back in the playoffs. The wait will be worth it!

V Čechách děkujeme za upřímné gratulace. Co je mrzuté, je to, že Kanaďané připravují svůj pohár na září, a nebudou tam ani Rusové, ani Češi. Takže tam nejlepší hokejisté světa prostě nebudou. Kanaďané tam pozvou sami sebe a Americany. Pak ještě vytvoří týmy a podminky, aby Kanadu nemohli jen tak porazit. A přitom chtějí vyhlásit, že nejlepší hokej na světě hráli vždy jen oni, a nikdy nikdo jiný. Jednostranné zájmy a politika do sportu nepatří. Pokud se to dělá, je to ke škodě těch, co to dělají, i samotného sportu.
I saw a few comments there. But for the Czech fans is the biggest accomplisment to achive gold on Olympics and then World Championship but for players themselfs is the most wanted trofy still the Stanley cup. Maybe they kind of want it the same way to win World Championship at home and winning a Stanley cup.
We really needed this in Czech Republic. It united the people after tough years. Switzerland did amazing work. Kudos for Swiss hockey team. After some time the silver medal will look much more shiny.
Well, as a Swiss, I would be able to write a better ending (from a Swiss perspective at least 😂). But it was a great game and Czechia deserved the win.
Everyone talks about how Czechs are champions again and the struggle, well we Swiss have never got Gold before and we've had the bigger struggle and it would have meant more to us to win our first. We will try again.
The Swiss played a great team game with disciplined defence and Genoni was an absolute wall in this tournament. They were rightfully in the finals. Sweden was let down by their goaltending and while they had amazing skaters, I would say that the team wasn't as cohesive as Switzerland and Czechia and they didn't play with as much heart as the finalists. They proved their strength and determination against Canada in the bronze game.
We always stuggle against teams like the Swiss (rarely more than 3 goals), Denmark (again, rarely over 3) or Finland. Always very low goal score, while its always a goal madness for both with Swedes or Canada.
I dont think the audience alone shows, how happy every Czech was. I recommend watching the goals with a czech commentatory.

The Swiss became a formidable team in the last 10-15 years and would absolutely deserve to win their 1st gold. As a Czech I would've rooted for them in the finals against any other team (don't tell the Slovaks).
i'm so glad this video got recommended to me. during this year's championship i fell in love with hockey again. your channel is exactly what i need to catch up with the ducks and what do i know? maybe i'll be waking up at 4 am to watch the games next season 🤠 Dostál na hrad!
Wooo. I'm so glad!
This is how you put music in a commentary video. Brilliant work and very enjoyable to watch!
Thank you!
Great job with your coverage/videos of the world champs! Fun video format
Thank you!
Great match Czech Republic and Switzerland! Clean and intense hockey without fights and ugly fouls as the players from the USA and Canada do it well.
Ridiculous slander, the Canadians and Americans know how to separate international and NHL play.. which is why you didn't see any ugly fouls or fights from either team in this tournament. Shame on you.
@@LivingNed well you are correct kinda. it is known that Canadians and US tends to get rougher if they are losing and become frustrated but often times they are met with equal force, especially from Czech players that are not afraid to get rough. This lead to great fights between CAN and CZE in the past :D These days they seem to get some self control tho.
@@LivingNed IIHF 1997 Canada vs Czechia? Stupid canadian.
What a nice overview video, good job. Truly an awesome match.
Thank you!
greetings from Czech republic 😀 ...we are in euphoria 😀
👋
I love your enthusiasm for hockey. Nice to see someone so passionate about a thing
Thank you!
That translation of Kaberle's tweet is slightly incorrect. Dostál literally told to that reporter that Pastrňák said to him if he's f-ing kidding him :DDD
Thank you! I figured it wasn't right
Kaše wouldn't risk his nuts for a Stanley Cup. A gold medal at the World Championship is bigger for everyone else in the world except for the US.
There's a strong national pride in playing for your home country that exists almost everywhere else
Either way, I hope he comes back to the Ducks
As a Czech and Ducks fan, I'll take the liberty of quoting Proximus from Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes; WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY!
Czechs are the Brazilians of hockey when it comes to love for the game. Nobody loves the game more than Czechs. Not even Canadians.
🔥
Might be a dumb question, but is there somewhere where you can get tournament jerseys? I might just need a Dostal after this one!
In Czechia they auction off the jerseys, but I don't know if it's worldwide shipping you know
Honestly that or we need a Dostal throwback jersey asap
They're selling the national jerseys (red and white versions) with some of the players' names (including Gudas and Dostal) at the official fanshop webpage but it's only in Czech with shipping option only in Czechia.
I bought from slovak e-shop (fansmania)
I love your work!
This video is amazing.
Thank you!
I am so proud of our team.
👏
Thanks for all the greetings from all over the world, it's stronger emotion than winning trust me. Thank you all for friendly approach ❤️🔥😭
great videos covering the games!!
Thank you!
“David SPACEK opens the score” ? How do you screw that up
Big fail...
heat of the moment.
I am so happy i got to witness watching this live, my home country winning gold on home ice
🔥
LETS GOOOO celebrated all night in Prague city center, should probably go to sleep 🤣🤣
I saw a video from the morning after and the party was still going on the metro 😆
Dostal scoring the ENG would have been a better ending but close enough. This tournament has me hoping the Ducks can poach Necas from Carolina somehow. It's also crazy to me that it took until the bronze medal game for Zelly to get the ice time he deserved, terrible coach.
Dostal and Gudas playing recruiter while there 👀
DOSTWALL not getting tourney MVP is dumbfounding. His goaltending was godlike from finnish to finish.
playing goal for the Ducks would be a living nightmare. 50+ shot a game and Zegras hitting the Michigan on you every practice. Props to Dostal and Gibson
Hey, this year it was less than 50+ most nights haha
Gibby on the block? Dostie putting up some serious performances. Can he bring that intensity to the NHL next season? Looking forward to seeing what Verbeek and team do this off season
Gonna be interesting 👀
That's pretty sweet seeing Getzlaf there at the Canada game. Even if he wasn't too happy
Miss that Baldy!
As a czech i love this video
🥰
youtube delivered this one kinda late, but its great video nonetheless. Thank you.
Glad it found you!
what a worldcup !! what a fans ! this is like a dream !
🔥
Nice video, thank you
You're welcome!
💯 Gonna be fun!!!
thx for the recap :) MISTŘI!!!
You guys are great.
My home country striked back in hockey, we did it!!
👏
0:55 I got angry, why tf are you holding him?
They wanted to keep him :D
he is so good they wanted him for themselves 😆
Here, take this red dress please :D
Now he can say he touched the world champion
0:50 - "Wussup guys!" 😂😂😂
🐇😂
You might wanna fact check the video description again 💀
I was on the Old Town Square. It was amazing.
🔥🔥🔥
Well I am from Czechia and I was looking at it.. Dostal was brutal he was really getting every shot and Palat that.. THAT bro killed Glauser but never throught that Canada would lose again Sweden just brutal Semifinals and Finals
😎
Finally...after 14 years. We are back on the top! Poor Swiss getting their third silver. I would feel bad but you know, my people won.
👏
Great video .. hi from Czech
Thank you 👋
2:40 how can a commentator make such a big mistake? didnt he see the number?
Btw that English translation of the Tweet about Dostál trying to score is somewhat... too polite :D Pasta basically said to him that he's fcking crazy and Dostál answered that you only live once :))
Legend 🔥
NHL prý je nejlepší. Má nejlepší hráče světa, ale kde je USA a Kanada? Zlato mají naši hoši. Bylo to perfektní. Děkuji.
👏
As a Czech, thank you for this video ❤
You're welcome!
Proud of my country
V Čechách děkujeme za upřímné gratulace. Co je mrzuté, je to, že Kanaďané připravují svůj pohár na září, a nebudou tam ani Rusové, ani Češi. Takže tam nejlepší hokejisté světa prostě nebudou. Kanaďané tam pozvou sami sebe a Americany. Pak ještě vytvoří týmy a podminky, aby Kanadu nemohli jen tak porazit. A přitom chtějí vyhlásit, že nejlepší hokej na světě hráli vždy jen oni, a nikdy nikdo jiný. Jednostranné zájmy a politika do sportu nepatří. Pokud se to dělá, je to ke škodě těch, co to dělají, i samotného sportu.
Rusák nepatří do sportu.
1:25 ~ LMFAO you can tell the officials are Canadian, eh.
“…EAYH….WERE DONE WITH THIS SH*T, EH?!”
Plus, ya, for a rookie NHLer, Zellwegger was great
We love Zelly!
great comments and good video !
Thank you!
I was there.. Fuckin amazing!
🔥
I saw a few comments there. But for the Czech fans is the biggest accomplisment to achive gold on Olympics and then World Championship but for players themselfs is the most wanted trofy still the Stanley cup. Maybe they kind of want it the same way to win World Championship at home and winning a Stanley cup.
Yes it could have been with Switzerland winning 😅. Czechs won many world cups, Switzerland got silver 3 times and never won :(
We really needed this in Czech Republic. It united the people after tough years. Switzerland did amazing work. Kudos for Swiss hockey team. After some time the silver medal will look much more shiny.

Fear the Butcher
0:52 Flight to Switzerland lol
Mam radost.
"Pasta was telling me if I was completely wrong..." - the tranlator is soooo "tactful". 😅
what are those sound artifacts when you speak? it's like it's piercing my brain
I don't know. You are the 1st person to mention it at almost 100k views 😅
Well, as a Swiss, I would be able to write a better ending (from a Swiss perspective at least 😂).
But it was a great game and Czechia deserved the win.
@FempireAudios Yeah, gold 2026 in Zurich would be nice.
And who knows, maybe Ambühl is still playing in two years.
Congrats to the gold!
Amazing skate control... RIP Adam Johnson
🙏
as a czech person not interested in sport at all, the world championship final is the only match i actually watch
🙌
I cried when they won, LET'S GO US
Not the commentator saying “David Špaček opens the scoring!” After David Pastrňák scores the first goal 😭😭💀
Whoopsie
@@duckmylife so unprofessional I am I right? 😭💀
not even gonna talk about the comentators calling pastrnak David Spacek on the first goal? 2:43
Now lets have dostal a gudas bring that momentum back to anahiem an go for the cup next season. 🎉
Yaaaas
0:55 it's clearly seen that swis wanted to keep him there lol
😂
yeah, they really needed some help 🤭
It was a foregone conclusion. How could a team who handed out beers at the airport not win?
🍻
Everyone talks about how Czechs are champions again and the struggle, well we Swiss have never got Gold before and we've had the bigger struggle and it would have meant more to us to win our first. We will try again.
You have another chance when you host it in your home country!
It was somewhat odd to see the Czechs essentially struggle vs the Swiss when they seemed to have such a picnic vs Sweden.
@@bl1t7arrow Im just saying, not conceding more than 2 goals in a game up until the semi finals then let in 7?
They Swiss fought hard. They made it tough!
PRAGANO!
