I’m Catholic.... and agree with you. Miracles and supernatural phenomena- in and of themselves- do not prove the veracity of one’s claims. Spiritual prelest is a real danger, and, as St John warns, when Anti-Christ comes, he will perform supernatural wonders.
I would be appreciative if you would do a theological critique on Fatima.

Interestingly enough, by far the most well attested Marian apparition in history occurred not within the Roman Catholic Church, but the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria in Egypt during the late 1960’s, Our Lady of Zeitoun. Millions of Christians, Muslims, and nonbelievers all witnessed the Virgin appear over the Coptic Church of the Virgin Mary over the course of several years. After no plausible natural explanation could be found, the Egyptian government under the staunchly Muslim Gamal Abdel Nasser even recognized them as legitimate.

This reminded me of Matthew 24:24 which speaks of false Christs and prophets arising, performing great signs and wonders, so as to mislead if possible even the elect. Jesus even said that an evil generation seeks after signs. There are many levels of supernatural activity. Many are deceptive appearing as angels of light. It is essential to pray for discernment and stop opening ourselves to deception by fooling around with occult tools like horoscopes and tarot cards. It’s amazing how many Lutherans are into this stuff. That needs to be addressed in the church.

"And it performed great signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to the earth in full view of the people. Because of the signs it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived the inhabitants of the earth. Praying of the Rosary Is NOT Bible-Based Teaching
by Vince Olaer | Doctrines and Theology, Pastoral, Theology
Praying The Rosary Is Not Biblical, And Is A Form Of Idolatry
Just last Sunday, a local newspaper paper released an article teaching that the praying of the Holy Rosary is Bible-based. In the first two paragraphs, the writer admittedly says that there is no passage in the Bible teaching nor mentioned about the praying of Rosary.
However, in the following paragraphs, the writer justified the praying of the Rosary basing it on the repetition of historical events of some Bible characters (like Gideon as he mentioned) about Israel’s history.
I don’t know if the writer of this article did some research about the origin of rosary and how it was deeply encouraged for Roman Catholics.
Praying of Rosary was encouraged when Lucia Dos Santos and her cousins Francisco and Jacinta Marto caimed to have an apparation from an angel teaching them to pray in the spring of 1916. They were asked to pray repeatedly by the angel who appeared to them. This is why the Catholics were convinced that they have to pray repeatedly.
The flaw however in the story was that, the angel gave two sets of completely different prayers. The angel appeared to the three children three times.
Then after a year, 1917, it was said that Our Lady of Rosary had an apparitions for 7 times. In her second apparition the Our Lady said:
“I wish you to come here the 13th of next month; that you say the Rosary every day, and that you learn to read. In succeding months I will tell you what else I want.” “I would like to ask you to bring us to Heaven“, said Lucy. “Yes, Giacinta and Francis will be among the few, but you must stay here for a long time. Jesus wants to help Himself of you to make Me known and loved. God wishes you to remain in the world for some time because He wants to use you to establish in the world a devotion to my Immaculate Heart. I promise salvation to those who embrace it, and their souls will be loved by God as flowers placed by myself to adorn His throne.” Lucy asked: “Will I stay here alone”?, “Don’t be discouraged , I will not abandon you ever. My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and through it will conduct you to God.”
Now here are the flaws of this apparition. First, the Our Lady is telling the children to teach the people to make her known and be loved. Note that the apparition was initiated not by Jesus, nor an angel, but the very person who wants to be made known. It is like, someone came to you and asked you using the name of your friend to introduce her to other people that you know.
The second flaw, Our Lady promises salvation to those who embrace this command. A completely heretical claim, and totally in contrast to what the Bible is saying. The Bible is very clear in saying that “…whosoever believes in Him (Jesus) will not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16).” Only God can give salvation. This is the Biblical truth that cannot be altered, deducted nor added.
Third flaw, Our Lady claims that her immaculate heart will be our refuge and through it will conduct you to God. This is another contradiction to what the Bible is saying. “Come to me all you labor and are heavily burdened and I will give you rest (Matt.11:28)”, “I am the way the truth and the life, NO ONE comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6)”.
The truth is, there is only one mediator between God and man, it is only Jesus Christ (Hebrews chapters 6,7,8,9, and 10)
This is the statement coming from the third apparition:
“In october I will tell you who I am, that which I want, and I will do a miracle that all can see and believe. Sacrifice yourselves for sinners, and say often this prayer, especially during any sacrifice: “O my Jesus, I offer this for love of Thee, for the conversion of poor sinners, and in reparation for all the sins commited against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.“
The flaw of the third apparition is the claiming of honor which belongs to Jesus Christ, and the idea of co-equality with Jesus. Though she did not claim co-equality, but the fact of showing that people committed sins against her proposes the idea of deity that people needs to be so sorry for not recognizing her. The Bible tells us that there are three persona where we committed sins, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. And now, here comes the Mary, an addition to the Holy Trinity.
Now let’s look at this additional quotations from the third apparition. This is more like “Our Lady” centered command rather than “Jesus” centered command. Russia will be consecreted to Our Lady of Rosary than instead of Jesus. Notice the number of recitation of the Rosary. At the end of each decade (10), there is only one calling for Jesus help.
This is quoted from the last (6th) apparition
“I am the Lady of the Rosary, I desire here a chapel in my honor to be built, that people continue to recite the Rosary every day. Will the war finish. The war is going to end, and the soldiers will soon return to their homes.” Then Lucy asked: “may I ask you for cures and conversions, will you grant them?”. “Some yes, others no. It is necessary that they ask pardon for their sins, that they don’t offend God our Lord, and that he is already too much offended.” “Do you Want anything else from me?” Lucy asked. “I do not want anything more.“
The flaw of the 6th apparition is that the Lady of the Rosary is asking for a chapel in “HER” honor, and not Jesus’ nor the Father’s honor. We have to note that taking glory which supposed to be for God is a serious sin, this is idolatry.
The apparition is completely directing people in a wrong path. It is completely in contradiction with what the Bible is saying. The Bible warn us about these kinds of apparitions in Galatians 1:8 “But even though we (referring to Paul and his companions) or an angel from heaven, which should preach to you any gospel other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed.” This is a strong warning that we should be careful in believing apparitions especially if it gives another teachings that what the Bible already have taught us.
Just some additional observations concerning the apparition of Our Lady of Rosary. Our Lady appeared “6” times. In Hebrew culture (the Israelite culture), 6 is the imperfect number. A number usually associated with evil things. Thus, the number of the Beast in the Book of Revelations tells us that it is 666.
Another observation is the dates of the apparition. The apparition dates are significantly on the 13th of every month of that year. Even until, Roman Catholics believe that 13th is always associated with evil things like Friday the 13t h bad luck and not placing 13th floor on buildings. Not to mention all the horror movies that happens on Friday the 13th.
Now let me ask you, do you really believe that these apparitions comes from God? These apparition and commands are completely in contrast to what the Bible teaches us. They are “Our Lady of Rosary” centered rather than “God” centered. The apparitions promotes glory and honor for “Our Lady of Rosary” rather than the glory of God. And finally, even culture related things are in contradiction to the apparitions. Not to mention its lack of Apostolicity and Biblical support.
The praying of Rosary is another heretical belief of the Roman Catholic church to which Catholics are willing fight for.

She would lie coiled in the pew and hiss and rattle softly. You might find a strange alliance with Fr. Josiah Trenham on the topic of Fatima. He told a story about how part of the children's story was supposedly the apparition of the Virgin told them that Russia would be converted. Roman apologists and advocates claim that this means that Russia will become Catholic. Where it gets interesting is that Fr. Trenham (he's Orthodox) was acquainted with the titular king of Portugal, and he was known to be in touch with the last of the children. He asked her if that meant that Russia would be converted to Rome or resume her Orthodoxy. The answer, from one of the witnesses to the event was that she believed it meant Russia would return to Orthodoxy.
I don't know if Fatima happened. I struggle with a lot of the extras that the Roman and Eastern churches accept, but I can say that Fr. Trenham would remember this story. He told it in an interview that is still on TH-cam. Fascinating stuff!

Deuteronomy 13 supports what Dr. Cooper said: whether miracles "really happened" is only the initial question. Where the (real) miracles try to lead you--that is the ultimate question: to the one true God and his word or away from him and his word. Given that the doctrine revealed in scripture already has been confirmed by many miracles--including Christ's own resurrection--who has a need to prove their doctrine by ever new miracles except the one who wants to lead you away from what has been revealed once and for all? Think about it. 1 Cor. 1:22-25.
Also, the ability to work miracles should not be confused with being saved--one can do miracles even in Christ's name but still not do the will of the Father. Matt. 7:21-23.
So even if the eucharistic miracles really happen, and even if they could be used to determine the blood type or DNA of Christ, do they prove that the Catholic Church does the will of the Father by offering the mass as an (unbloody) sacrifice for the living and the dead?
That's really what this particular type of miracle boils down to. So, good work, Dr. Cooper!

Are there any protestant miricles that endorse a teaching not tought by the catholic church? Or is it that every protestant miricle endorsing a teaching tought by protestants is also tought by the catholics. For example asking god to heal you or someone else, this is permissible in both traditions, however eucharistic miricles only endorse a teaching tought by catholics.

Was it the (A) Catholic Church, which formed 100s of years after the death of his apostles? or (B) A "breakoff" of the catholic church in the reformation (lutheranism, etc)? or even (C) A "restorative church"? or (D) no need for any organized church (as long as one has the bible and follows it more or less)?

What is the difference between the church called mother and her daughters, the churches of men? Barely a difference. For as the Word of the Lord has spoken to the generation of His wrath: "Behold, even those who rebelled against her, who proclaim they are set apart from her, remain like her, practicing those same things which I said they shall not do! And though they say, “We are not daughters,” daughters they remain.
Thus the harlot shall be torn in pieces! Her flesh shall be eaten, and she shall be burned with fire, as it is written! And all her daughters, yes, all you churches of men, shall be severely abased! Even a great purging shall come forth from within the midst of you; behold, you shall be stripped naked and left desolate in the Great and Terrible Day of The Lord!"
Mother church, yes you catholics. And all her daughters, do you remember the warning declared during the days of Moses? For his generations and the generations to come, to all of us: You shall not add to or take away from the Word. Therefore hear The Truth regarding the church called mother and the changing of Law.
"Thus says The Lord God: You shall not desecrate the Sabbath, the seventh day of the week, which I have commanded you to remember and keep holy. For as I had spoken it to My servant Moses, so it is and shall be, even to this day. And as I had spoken it before the congregation, so shall it be done. Yea, with the blowing of the great trumpet, with lightnings and thunderings, did I declare My Law; before the tribes of Israel, and in the presence of angels, did I put My power on open display. Behold, by My own finger was it engravened upon tablets of stone, and by the power of My spirit is it established within the hearts of the penitent.
Yet the churches of men forsake The Law, and the peoples of this world seek to tear down My Commandments! Thus they shall surely die! For transgression of The Law is sin, and the penalty of sin is death. Yet a New Covenant I have sent to you in YahuShua The Messiah, to save you from the penalty of that which you have forsaken. Therefore, you shall live because of Him and set your steps aright, according to that which He upholds and has magnified in Himself, He being the only One who is without sin, having kept every tittle of The Law - blameless.
For it is written: It is easier for the heavens and the earth to pass away, than for one tittle of The Law to fail. For the spirit of The Law is shown in The Messiah’s vesture, He being the same One who taught you The Law anew, by His example and by His every word and deed. For The Law is fulfilled in The Messiah; indeed, He is the goal at which the Torah aims. Thus He is The Lord of The Law and of the Sabbath.
So then give answer, O churches of men:
If He is The Lord of the Sabbath,
    Having obeyed My every command,
Why do you not follow Him?...
You say you follow Him and honor Me,
Yet most assuredly, I say to you, you shall
All be found liars in the Day of Reckoning!...
    Says The Lord.
And you, O church called Roman and Catholic, how We mourn for you! For you have been judged, and shall be left utterly desolate in the Day of The Lord’s Anger! You say you speak for Me and have The Messiah’s authority, yet I tell you, you have trampled upon the grave of The Resurrected One, making His sacrifice of no effect! WOE TO ALL WHO BLASPHEME THE SPIRIT! Throughout your generations you have not ceased from transgressing The Law by your traditions! Even to this day you embrace every foul and contemptible doctrine, reveling in those things I hate! Behold, you pollute the name of The Messiah by all you say and do, as you lead the people astray!
O unholy church of adulteries, mother of all fornications and lies, your destruction draws near! You have become Egypt! LET MY PEOPLE GO! Stop desecrating My Sabbaths! The seventh day is the Sabbath, which I had ordained from the beginning! Cease from your heresies, hold your tongue from your blasphemies, turn back from this wicked way you have chosen, AND REPENT, and I may yet have mercy upon you! For I am The Lord, and I DO NOT CHANGE!
Therefore heed My words and bow down, O unholy church of men! Hear the Word of The Lord, and be broken in pieces! For The Holy One is coming quickly and will take from you His own; He shall snatch them from your very breast! And no more shall My children receive nourishment from you! No more shall they be held captive under the veil of your deceptions! The light shall be taken from you, and you shall be left all alone, utterly estranged, on account of your unending adulteries and for the multitude of your whoredoms, which you performed in MY NAME!
Thus your fate lies with him who is coming, the wicked one who shall lead many into perdition and death. You shall bear him a son, a man who bears the number of his name, his prophet. Yet you will not be alone when desolations come; you and your enemy, Ishmael, shall receive recompense in full. For you both remain children of your father, the devil.
Behold, The Mighty and Strong One
Shall return and take from the earth
    His own, and great recompense
Shall be poured out on all nations...
He shall come in power and great glory,
    And Judgment shall sit...
Yet all who come out from among them,
And call upon the name of The Holy One of Israel,
In spirit and in truth, shall be delivered...
    Says The Lord."
Says the Lord, amen! Let's call upon the name of the Holy One, in Spirit and Truth! What is His name and where is this Word written you may ask? His Volumes of Truth, the Word of the Lord spoken to this generation.
"Thus says The Lord: Beloved, this Word, even every Volume to every Letter, is the Word of My glory, which I have put forth once again... A testament of My love and sacrifice, the announcement of My coming, a proclamation of truth, revelation of who I really am!... The Trumpet Call of God, so all those called and chosen may hear and come to Me in their proper time and season.
Behold, it is also a strong correction for all those who have taken to themselves MY name and MY Word, to pollute it, a plumb line for this wicked generation! For this Word is a waving banner, an ensign to all nations!... A trumpet of alarm and war, the sound of recompense and judgment, which shall soon fall upon every nation!
For I AM WHO I AM!...
The Only Begotten of The Father!
The One True God and Savior!
    The Mashiach!...
    YAHUSHUA-YAHUWAH!"
Says YAHUSHUA-YAHUWAH. One God, One Lord, One Savior. This is your Redeemer, the One who was crucified for our transgressions and defeated death with His resurrection:
"Behold, even the whole of creation shouts,
    “YAHUSHUA is YAHUWAH!”
For it is He by whom all things consist,
It is He who causes to be...
For The Lord our God is One!"
Has the Word of the Lord revealed! Behold The Truth of who He is. He who was came first humbled in the flesh with His glory set aside. He who is the Spirit poured out on all flesh, pleading with the heart of every man. And He who is to Come as a Judge with power and great glory! Remember the famine spoken through the prophet of old, Amos. Embrace His Word today if you so choose and also dont forget, The father's discipline is neceassary. For as it is written, who of us can be humbled without first being brought low? Who didn't He first abase?
Hear therefore of His sorrow, the sorrow of a Father losing His children. For thus says the Lord:
"And though it greatly pains My heart,
A wound which shall last forever, it must be done...
    For if I do not do this, My people shall never have a name;
They shall never dwell in My holy place, they shall never
See The Light or know life as it was in the beginning...
Until the sanctuary is cleansed, I can not dwell
With My people, both with them and in them...
Unless I make a full end, there can be no restoration.
If I do not complete My task, never again shall I walk with My beloved in the garden, never again shall the little children come to Me and gather around... Open your eyes, cast yourselves down! Let your hearts melt before The Holy Fire, embrace My Purifying Flame! My dying children, you are the last generation, the last of these kingdoms of men!
I love you, yet you choose death! You have forsaken Me and forced My hand! The stink of your perversions fills My nostrils, your murders stain My courts, the broken bodies of the innocent and the blameless are piled up in heaps before My eyes!
And still you say within yourselves, “We have done no wrong, we have provoked no god to anger. There is no judgment to come. We do not retain God in our thoughts, His Law is far from us. We do not know Him, nor do we need Him.”

Now I'm an atheist and I haven't done any deep study about fatima but what I have understood that:
    1. There was some Marian apparitions that were seen by three girls.
    2. Some not very impressive "prophesies" were given to the girls.
    3. A big crowd had gathered to wait for a miracle. They did not see Mary though, they saw the sun "dancing" or "zig zagging" or changing color. Different stories that sound like very probable optical illusions if you STARE AT THE DAMN SUN. And there were also people who didn't see anything unusual.
Now this is a pretty lame "miracle" if you ask me. Why didn't Mary show herself to the crowd in all her glory? Was that somehow harder to do than to appear to a little girl? Why was the "miracle of the sun" not seen everywhere around the world? We have the same sun. Just so many questions to ask.

The latter results in doctrinal chaos, confusion, and division. Interesting what the Written Word of God says about the TRUTH.

I personally test miracle claims by whether they lead you back to scripture or away from scripture. I consider the Shroud of Turin to be authentic by this standard, and dismiss most Marian apparitions by the same standard. The Shroud points to the Bible again and again; Marian apparitions point away from the Bible and to man-made ideas about God and the Gospel.

Fatima coincides with the biblical gospel, as interpreted by the Roman Catholic magisterium. As understood by Luther. Nor does his accord with the gospel as understood by Calvin on all details. Or Zwingli et al. That is what we have been going on about now for centuries. Authority to interpret scripture. Appreciate this video. God bless you.

Sacrifice yourselves for sinners, and say often this prayer, especially during any sacrifice: “O my Jesus, I offer this for love of Thee, for the conversion of poor sinners, and in reparation for all the sins commited against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.“

The Church. Christ made numerous promises of it.

"she really points me to her Son "
Very Catholic. We follow her words: _do whatever he tells you._
In the Rosary too, we meditate on the life of her Son.

You are not obliged to believe in any of these miracles, Lourdes, Fatima or whatever. I often say “Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for ” but won’t oblige you to say it. It might be helpful if you had some constructive counter-proposals. Protestants normally don’t.

      Who "Invented the Rosary"?
      St. Dominic
It is widely believed that in 1214 St. Dominic had a vision of Mary. She is said to have presented him with the rosary, both the beads and the prayers to be prayed. Dominic had a tremendous devotion to Mary and the rosary, which he promoted wherever he traveled to preach.

As Aquinas once said: "For those who believe in God, no explanation is necessary. For those who do not believe in God, no explanation will suffice".
But Catholics do not need miracles to prove the Catholic Church is the true Church as scripture and history does this.
