Wilderness Systems Pungo 120 Kayak Review

Here is a review on the Pungo 120 kayak from Wilderness Systems. Tom and I both own these kayaks and we both love them. We are hoping to do a kayak camping trip at some point but not sure when. This kayak is amazing, it has a tone of great features, it tracks and paddles very well. It is perfect for anyone looking for a pleasure kayak or a fishing kayak. Have the same kayak in the same color and love it. Boight another blue 125 so botb of us could fish comfortably.
The onlyndownside of this boat is not front hatch. $50 float bag strapped to the foot peg will solve the problem.

Tom and I both have one and we love them. We use dry bags and stuff them in the front of our kayaks or behind the seats, works great. These kayaks are a deal, worth every penny. Thanks for watching and commenting, God Bless!

That is a good point about being tippy, it is very stable and tracks well. Fishing from it is a blast.

You will love it, tons of fun to paddle around. I used mine in the ocean and on freshwater, even as shallow as 6 inches of water and it kept going. Lots of fun to fish out of also. Enjoy your kayaking adventures.

@@northeastoutdooradventures3787 ya have taken it out on the lake 2x now, have you tried flipping it and does it fill fast? I'm not confident taking it out on open water, is it easy for re-entry? thanks. Btw I love it, it is a very light and smooth ride 👍😁

@Rock Lan, I have not tried flipping it, I don't have the training / skills to safely flip it to see if it fills fast or if it is hard to flip back over. I do however bring a pump with me so if I get a lot of water in it, I can pump it back out. To be honest if I ever flip over, I will probably just push myself out vs trying to flip it back upright with me still in it. Give yourself some time, you will gain the confidence to paddle it in open water. Just remember to move with the water, if you get into waves don't try to fight them just flow with them and you will be fine.

Wilderness Systems and Old Town have the best consoles on the market. Its a shame other companies cant utilize a console system like that.
