IDEA - you could design sticky notes in your wedding theme and everyone can write on them and stick it to huge frame OR you could do a bookmark that they could write a message on.

If she could get a small bare tree or arrange branches in a huge pot maybe with some pretty pink/white lights weaved into the branches so they could hang the bookmarks from them after they have written on them so everyone can see what everyone else has written too.

Congrats on your wedding! If you want to make your own DIY lanterns, especially large ones, use 4 large canvases, take the canvas part off and then attach the 4 canvases together in a box shape. Can spray paint and decorate how you like. I did 2 of these for a couple who was getting married awhile back. It would be so pretty to put some of your sola wood flowers on it and twinkle lights. Love me some twinkle lights. DIY'ed everything for my wedding. Can't wait to see how your decor turns out.

I think it's great you are taking your time with wedding plans to get exactly what you want. I remember when I got married at 19 lol I did not want a big wedding. I only wanted my close friends, but my mom (paid for the wedding lol) invited a lot of people and I didn't even know half of them. Fast forward to today 25 years later and two beautiful girls it seems like only yesterday we got married. If I had to redo it, I would want a small intimate wedding.
I signed up before for the virtual but didn’t get the invite but I did it again today to try again! I hope it worked this time or that it isn’t too late. Also I love Sola flowers. I have a vase arrangement on my table and it was custom dyed for me. They still look so good.

I have so many thoughts! I LOVE that you are making your wedding so pink and special and sparkly!!!! I love that you are having a small wedding with a venue by the water! I saw one wedding in Tennessee that was small and the bride was able to focus on making it SUPER special for her guests because she did keep it small! Chris sounds like a wonderful guy and very wise for letting you express your pink self! I also love that your mom is your matron of honor! That’s so perfect!

@@emilycromwelldesigns As I watched further I was reminded of my wedding plans way back in the dark ages aka 1967. I wanted a marble cake…bakery said they didn’t do that…I explained “get your pans, pour vanilla cake batter in each one…then pour a bit of chocolate batter in and using a knife lightly swirl it into the vanilla batter…throw the pans into the oven…don’t look if it bothers you they aren’t solid white! When they come out…throw the layers together using a raspberry filling…frost the entire thing with white buttercream and daisies…and poof! You have a marble wedding cake! Not going to lie…there might have been a tad bit of a sarcastic tone in my explanation! Then there was the florist who gasped when I mentioned white roses and yellow daisies in my bouquet! “We can’t mix those two…roses are formal and daisies are informal.” This guy was serious! I just rolled my eyes…walked over to the refrigerated cases…grabbed a few white roses and a bunch of yellow daisies…held them together in one hand and said…”it works for me!” Don’t even ask about the vocalist who filled in last minute when my cousin, who was going to play the guitar and sing a song he wrote about yellow daffodils and love, got delayed by the Air Force. Times have sure changed when it comes to traditions…all for the better! Excited to see how your festivities come together. Your engagement party ideas were terrific!

I would get a clothes Airer or washing line to hang the flowers from, if you use a flat surface the paint will naturally drip/slide onto the paper and pool slightly and it can ruin the part the of flower resting on the paper, if you clip or hang by a thread on a line or airer the flower won’t be touching anything so the finish will be better.
With the chair ribbons you could use both ribbons together and alternate the top colour from dark to light pink on the rows of chairs, it can give a really pretty but different look to the back of the chairs.
