This is exactly what OOC chat is for. Zerkaa did the right thing here. I'm all for the PD getting involved with missions. I think the conflict adds a bit of spice and challenge to the RP scenario. But, in this case, the cops pulled their boy over in a case of mistaken identity. They thought he was someone shooting at cops. They weren't pulling him over as part of the mission. So, I think the retcon and releasing him was more than fair and the right call.
Facts, if he did something illegal and got pulled over I think it'd be a different story but for mistaken identity would have been shit

@@parker4767 Out of character. Zerka used the "clouds" witch is just like a global text chat thats not used to rp but get in touch with admins or some one to sort a problem happening in character.. Him using OOCL means is was out of character and only people with in a radius could see the message. Lamest terms Tommy told the cops as ZERKA "we are in an rp mission"

@@parker4767 ooc - out of character, means we have to communicate outside of the RP world while we're in the RP world. It's because they have events and scuff that can effect planned "missions".

Baas is holding them together while also being the reason they're falling apart. He knows how to be friendly with people and patch issues as they come up, but doesn't know how to lead people and solve the root problems.

OOC being used for this kinda shit needs to be more normalised. Sure some of the fun of RP is it being organic and the fact anything can happen but sometimes people just dont need to join in and be a apart of something going on.

Bro how can cop viewers defend this. Jay wasn't involved and when told the cops that he wasn't. They lied to Tommy that he didn't say anything. But that's besides the point. Zerkaa did the right thing to not delay the mission and get jay out of a situation that he shouldn't be in the first place unfairly. End of the day no one was hurt (except for Winston XD). The Bois got the funniest content.

Not a cop viewer but the cops didn’t know until the OOC message that they were in an event. They had every right to question Jay and were pretty quick to RP it out after the OOC message.

@@duckchenny6132 I'm not really knowledgeable on these "RP Missions" that are apparently a thing in nopixel, but in my mind, this whole situation is fail rp. Why is the "mission" any more valuable than whatever else is going on in the server? Might as well just do the whole "Mission" ooc if it's not allowed to get derailed by random events in the server.
Wouldn't the PD be notified by devs/high command about these sorts of things and the locations they may be heading around so they don't interfere?

Nah its not THAT type of event. And even if, a lot of cop players dont read those infos but rather get them in character to avoid meta and get more immersion.

It was a wrong place wrong time kind of thing but at the time when jay was trying too explain they wouldn't listen at all, so jay ran stopped and they tased him out and cuffed him so Zerkaa had to OOC the cops but too answer your question i think they just didn't want jay to miss out.
There was a shooting going on and he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and not involved when trying to get the helicopter. They asked him to pull over but wasn’t cooperating and they event they had they were already late for

How would they know about the RP stuff? There were shots fired, they arrested and GSRd people on scene. Tommy correctly instead of flipping out, simply........talked to them, and the cops were cool with moving on and letting the RP stuff play out. All this was is an example as to why 9 times out of time the biggest issue isn't "the cops" its the crims trying be be "hardcore" instead of just.... talking/using the serve mechanics, etc
@@justmarcus33 mate don't, in most situations even if the OOC tell them what was happening they will still ignore it. This was just a very rare instances where nothing happened.

The cops love those event/RP stuff, see the PD vs MDM, see PD vs the Lost, see PD vs Rust, etc...all this clip shows is that.... talking instead of malding works wonders, Tommy just... spoke to the police and explained and everythign was fine. SOME others woudl have just started shooting cops and yelling hell week and thing crying that they got terrorism charges...

It was a dev planned event. If they get caught, fine. But there is literally zero reason to ruin such a thing for everyone (MDM, devs and viewers) over a mistaken identity, just for the guy to get processed for 30 minutes and be let free anyways, only for the mission to have timed out. It is a game after all, something cops tend to forget from time to time.
There is a massive difference between scripted rp and pre-planned rp events. This event had been planned out and known about for MDM for weeks (also pushed back twice). There was no decided upon ending or result of the event, which would be scripted, but was set in motion a while ago with everyone involved knowing about it for a while (pre-planned).
By your logic is WuChang Idol scripted rp? Every other Pigeon mission given out scripted rp? Vinny's gun events scripted rp?

Nah this was not needed. Viewers and apparently streamers in certain communities and Mandem is definitely one of them need stop looking at NoPixel as a sandbox content server because the longer people act as if it's just a empty vessel and everything has to be content the quicker it's going to kill the server. It's happened before and NoPixel isn't immune. The reason RP servers last for so long is storylines with emotional investment and keeping viewers interested in what will happen in an 'arc' that's been playing out for months. As much as these one of events are cool to watch, exciting and good for the server it's not what keeps it going. Therefore, you can't just say that because cops made a mistake, picked up the wrong guy and arrested him they're ruining their RP because they're not. Using OOC to rectify a scenario is very delicate and using it because a situation isn't going your way is pretty strange for the simple reason that nothing else was out of role play. The was a (role play) crime and the r(ole play) cops (role play) responded and then (in role play) Jay was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time and decided to dip instead of talking. Nothing theres is abnormal out of role play. The only reason this would ever be viable is if their event/mission was deemed more important than the role play they'd got themselves involved in. This'd be fine if it was a Squid Game type thing where they needed to get to back so they could join a different server in time but that wasn't the case.
That's a meaty paragraph but basically there was no need to say anything in OOC, everything was happening in RP and just because it wasn't going well for Mandem doesn't make it 'necessary' to solve things like that.

No point on writing an essay. Cause it's an event organized by the Devs aswell. Every gang is getting one of this. And Zerkaa did the right thing. Because they were in a time crunch. And that situation was delaying the mission. Because it didn't just involve the 6 other people aswell. Everyone dosen't have all the time in the world.

Hard disagree. RP being organic is great when it leads to good rp, but not so great when it leads to zero rp and only toxicity. This is a RP world problem that being at the wrong place at the wrong time happens way more often than it should. If this was any other normal situation, I would agree with you. But since it was a planned event people should get the chance to do their quest without stupid coincidences like this ruining it for players, devs and viewers. I think it is completely fine to have a little bit of special treatment when people are on these sort of missions that don't happen all too often.
@@duckchenny6132 It wasn't "organised by the devs" it was organised by Pigeon. He probably asked someone to spawn him a tugboat or for some people to be henchmen but he does it himself. Whether they're in a time crunch or not isn't relevant because them getting to their 'event' isn't any more important that anyone else's RP.
They have a mission. The mission starts. They go to get a helicopter and get caught up in something else (whatever the police were doing). If they were to miss that tug boat or they failed the mission because they didn't get there in time it's not bad RP, it's not 'ruined RP' they just failed. Maybe it's a 3.0 mindset or maybe it's just a Zerkaa viewer mindset but at some point you'll realise that it's not all OOC. Just because something doesn't go well or because it doesn't go exactly how you, Zerkaa, Tommy, Capped or Pigeon planned it doesn't make it negative RP or need to be solved in OOC. I wish there was an easy way to explain how much better RP is when it's 100% organic but if they're isn't then I'll just agree to disagree with you and hope your eyes are opened soon. As a suggestion, I'd start by watching people that isn't just Zerkaa and the people he directly interacts with. It wasn't bait and they didn't 'ruin' anything
