It’s not that deep. Edmontons one goal should’ve counted just like Calgarys should have but the goalie interference one was obviously no goal. Therefore the wrongfully called back goals were even completely disproving your point. Also there was a missed icing before Draisaitl goal. So yeah it was poetic if you’re blind with a painfully bad victim complex
McDavid is putting on a proper clinic on who's the best player on the planet. If the Oilers lose, it's definitely not due to a lack of effort from Connor. This year he has a killer attitude on top of his ridiculous skillset.
McDavid really morphed into a super star ever since he turned on beast mode during the dying moment at last round game 6, he started to play defense and assist for an empty net goal by Kane, I could tell from his eyes after that moment. Sold
Maybe if he learns to stop diving, and actually take a hit I will, dude is a pansy and trust me, even as a Flames fan I can appreciate great players like Drai and Connor but this guy is a loser

That’s the problem with the oilers defensemen. They can shine on the offensive side but make many mistakes that lead to goals. I’d rather have defensemen who don’t produce that many points but rather keep the own net clean
The top line played great but Hyman and Yamamoto (McDavid too of course) are the guys who stood out for me. Yamamoto is a small guy and he took every hit and went in for every battle. That's how you win in the playoffs.
That one handed pass from McDavid for the oilers first goal was something else.. it won't make any highlight reels but it was almost as impressive as any goal he's scored imo

This was obviously the turning point game in the series. When the Oilers were down 3-1 in this game after losing game 1, I thought maybe they were finished and it would be a quick series, but they showed incredible heart coming back to win this game and ultimately winning the series ! Kind of a drag now for the Battle Of Alberta that Gaudreau is gone and soon Tkachuk will be as well. Didn't really see that coming !! 😮
But I was told my Leaf fans that Bunting was a "playoff performer" yet all I saw from Bunting was diving. Meanwhile Hyman won a series the year after he leaves the Leafs organization and has been a key piece Edmonton needed for years.

No way did McDavid bumb the goalie. He beat the defenseman with a deek move and walked in on him. He even lifted his skate to avoid contact. Flames will resort to anything just to get the goal reversed.

If you're planning your defence, do you focus on McDavid's line? Or Draisaitl's? Because Nugent-Hopkins' line can score as well. Edmonton stretches anybody's defensive capability, so if Edmonton plays well defensively themselves, you will lose.

Mike smith has been unreal for the oilers in the playoffs. He has a .929 save% and 2.70 GAA. I’ve never seen a goalie treated so bad by there fan base. If they didn’t have Mike Smith they wouldn’t have a prayer

He single-handedly cost the oilers at least one game in the kings series and in game one he let in the first two shots which he should have saved both! He isn’t the only reason the oilers look so bad sometimes but it doesn’t help when you never know what you get from your goalie

No way did McDavid bumb the goalie. He beat the defenseman with a deek move and walked in on him. He even lifted his skate to avoid contact. Flames will resort to anything just to get the goal reversed.

Before the second round even started I thought Colorado or St Louis would crush any team that faced them. I don't think that's the case now. This series is such high energy! Analytics mean nothing in playoff hockey.

If you're planning your defence, do you focus on McDavid's line? Or Draisaitl's? Because Nugent-Hopkins' line can score as well. Edmonton stretches anybody's defensive capability, so if Edmonton plays well defensively themselves, you will lose.

I decided to reserve judgement until the end of game 2. But after watching these two teams defensive capabilities I just want to congratulate the Colorado Avalanche on reaching the Stanley Cup Final

@@narithheng5910 I think they just had a bad game. It happens. Overall I would agree that Calgary and Edmonton both have some defensive issues. If Colorado advances they will be very problematic because they aren’t going to be lazy on defense.
That game was just flat out nuts. Big hits, big saves, and goalscorer goals. Now it goes NB on AB-2 to Edmonton.

Mike smith has been unreal for the oilers in the playoffs. He has a .929 save% and 2.70 GAA. I’ve never seen a goalie treated so bad by there fan base. If they didn’t have Mike Smith they wouldn’t have a prayer

@@maximal2878 his save % is better then vasilevskiy and markstrom. And 7th the whole playoffs. The oilers starts are brutal he gets absolutely shelled in the first period every game and not shots from the outside either. His shots are good scoring chances off brutal defensive turnovers
@@licmysak4130 Safe percentage isn’t everything, when you get 10 easy shots and let in 1 your percentage isn’t too bad but it wasn’t a good performance.
He single-handedly cost the oilers at least one game in the kings series and in game one he let in the first two shots which he should have saved both! He isn’t the only reason the oilers look so bad sometimes but it doesn’t help when you never know what you get from your goalie
No team in the playoffs would have a prayer without good goaltending.
