I’ve lived in Sweden for over 11 years and I’d even say that “trust” is the secret sauce of the entire country. Real mutual respect, personal space, and no fake peer pressure. Starting with an education system that emphasizes individual thinking to a social contract that involves and protects everyone while still giving individuals the space to excel. I hope that Geely continues to recognize that this is a real strength that cannot simply be replicated elsewhere. I owned Japanese cars all my life until I was swayed by Thomas Ingenlath’s designed Volvos and also their “Made By People” campaign. Buying a car, more than most other things, involves emotion. Modern, minimalist design and the Scandinavian rational approach have pulled me clearly into the Volvo and Polestar direction.
