Awesome! My brother owned this plane. Purchased it in 1973. I have pictures of me in front of it when I was a baby. It was being restored at the time. Glad to see it still flying.
Red or Yellow....... It doesn't matter! I have hundreds of hours in the right seat of my dad's D17S as a boy. The most beautiful airplane ever built. It will forever have a place in my heart!
Going to the odd dawn patrol here in min Michigan we were afforded the opportunity to see a Staggerwing a few years back. It is by far the slickest, most unique aircraft ever. Nothing short of beautiful! Of course the thunder of a radial engine doesn't hurt either.
I had the ULTIMATE PLEASURE of flying in a 1937. Restored Stagger Wing as MAINE Wing Public Affairs Officer during the winter of 1985. The airplane was used in Texas doing border patrol work with the Civil Air Patrol. Frank Powers

I come across an article that indicated your plane was a one cylinder engine. Of course I know that airplane would not get off the ground with an engine that small. I don't know how many cylinders your engine has. But I know all radial engines have multiple cylinders. I am curious how many cylinders your engine has and what horse power? Thanks

Actually they sold is as a 5 passenger 2 in front and 3 on the rear seat, however, its truely a 4 seat airplane....
