My youngest was 10lbs 1oz. I was bawling like a baby at one point. All natural. Her shoulders got stuck. The mid wife came in and said "oh you haven't hardly done any work ". Made me so mad I start pushing again. Which I think was her objective.
So happy for you. I have a friend that God told her to name her baby Arron Michael. Amazing how God works. My first baby weight was 9.12 lbs. He is adorable and I love his name. God bless you and congratulations.

Aww yay, congratulations!!! And I’ve had 2 unmedicated births and wouldn’t do it any other way! Haha It’s not easy and it takes a lot of mental prep, but it’s made for the easiest recoveries and most beautiful experiences. I’m glad we all get to choose what’s best for each of us!

When you said you don't know why anyone would choose not to have one, I had to chuckle because when I had my babies in the late 70's-early 80's, that was not even an option! The only thing I got was a shot of Demerol, which was completely useless! I would have given anything for an epidural. I love his name and how the Lord gave it to you!! Awe he is so sweet!! 😍 Great job Sutton!! 👏 I am one of those Mamas who chose to do it naturally, and did a water homebirth! My births were both 4.5 hours long! I think that it really really matters what you WANT to do and prepare for it that makes the difference! Yes it was painful but I wasnt afraid but empowered with each birth wave, yes it was painful but it wasn't anything I couldn't handle because I had worked the whole pregnancy on my mindset! Yes it was crazy but it was also peaceful and full of anticipation, excitement and beauty! I think that if I hadn't done the preparation I would have been overwhelmed and it would not have been a good experience! But I felt like it was beautiful and the most incredible experience of my life! 😍But I think that if someone doesnt want a natural birth and didnt prepare for one it could be super hard and not a beautiful experience!! And that if you want the epidural that is a beautiful experience as well and is such a sweet time too!!! I have told a lot of Mamas that even if you plan to have the epidural, do take some time to do a bradley or Hyponobabies class to learn techniques and mindset hacks that will help keep you calm, grounded, empowered and excited in the case of waiting for an epidural or it not working completely! 💗💞💖
I grew up with my brother having a friend named Jamin. I had never heard of that name before or since. It's a neat unique name and it also fits him. Congrats!

I have precipitous labors as well and they are no joke for pain! Crazy intense. Good job making it through another one. I just had #6 in the car because of it. I've done all natural for all of them because of a bunch of different reasons but I actually love the redemptive power of the suffering and sacrifice and always offer up that pain for baby and for different people and situations in my life. Baby #6 I was offering up labor for healing in my life from trauma and a strained/damaged relationship in my family and it literally changed over night after he was born! God knew I needed a birth on my own to trust in His Providence! I think God rescues us right at the brink, whether that's a baby in the car or the intense pain right before an epidural. He is so good to us!
