Here is a better idea for the onions and coconut, instead of cooking them on flame, cook them in ash on the edge of a wood fire. It yields a much superior roasted onion. The hot ash slowly and steadily cooks it and there is no danger of burning it. Try it in Holi. Roasted onion by itself becomes a delicacy.
In pune you get "masalya cha dabba khali padla - sagle masale mix zaale - aata tyat pani taka ani tyala misal mhana" in Katakir. Fking over advertised and hyped trash misal - didn't even have matki in it! Yes, I searched for it - not a single dana!

It was emotional to see this video. Guys who r not from MH, don't fear of it's killing red colour just make it the same way as sanjyot told lemon at the end will kill most of the spicyness & buttermilk & raw onion coriander salad + dipped farsan reduces all the excess spicyness at the end. And the most helpful could be a buttermilk drink with it. Do give it a try .

This is perfect Misal Recipe even Maharashtrian won't always be doing this in such a authentic way because it's a very cumbersome process. Only thing and imp I guess you forgot to say is about "Farshan": it should be namkeen only not the spicy one and I also add roasted poha chiwda in it for extra crunchiness. Rest as usual ur recipes and style of presenting is awesome. 👌

This is perfect Misal Recipe even Maharashtrian won't always be doing this in such a authentic way because it's a very cumbersome process. Only thing and imp I guess you forgot to say is about "Farshan": it should be namkeen only not the spicy one and I also add roasted poha chiwda in it for extra crunchiness. Rest as usual ur recipes and style of presenting is awesome. 👌
