Royal Regiment of Scotland Receiving Freedom of North Lanarkshire | Civic Ceremony 2024

The Royal Regiment of Scotland (SCOTS) marched through Motherwell today. In this video you can see them receiving the Freedom of North Lanarkshire, while "God Save the King" is being played. Finally the regiment marches off to a rousing rendition of "Scotland the Brave!"
The parade is held in recognition of the SCOTS's outstanding service to their country and the local area. The regiment, led by Cruachan, their Shetland Pony mascot, will march with bayonets fixed, colours flying, and pipes and drums beating.
The procession featured soldiers from The 2nd Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Scotland (2 SCOTS), with the 2 SCOTS Pipes and Drums, The Band of The Royal Regiment of Scotland, and Regimental Mascot, Corporal Cruachan IV.
The parade marks a homecoming for 2 SCOTS who recently returned from the Middle East.
