I have been enthralled by your videos since you announced that you were going to Europe. A fascinating insight into the other side of the same coin. It’s good that John Deere can still trade across the continents despite the recent changes in both the World and Agricultural Order. Although I’m sure you’re being missed at home, you are taking the F.C. Cummins & Sons name and Rookery Farms International which can only be good for the future of the business. You really are a tour de force Eleanor. I only wish that I had half your energy!
Great run down on the updated 6M. What is the reason for changing the user interface to buttons rather than touchscreen? Is that for safety reasons? Also, what is auto-power?
@@textlad the 6m have always been easy to use and I would recon that that screen is too far to reach for touching. Auto power is the gear box (like automatic in a car)
@@berkshirefarmgirl Don't apolgise, only not clear to your non-farmers, others will know what it is all about. Having watched TH-cam farming content for years, I'm finally being brave and asking questions, which I probably should have asked years ago, lol.
@@naturestimeline Funnily enough, I assumed it was the price too (which I thought was very cheap) so this was a helpful question. A bit of research seems to suggest a very basic, low horse power 6M would be £50k to £60k but this bad boy with 250 horsepower apparently starts around £120k to £130k and if you trick it out with all the extras that the model Eleanor tried it can be £150k or more!
Looks great visibility in the cab Eleanor specially with extra glass windows.thanks for showing.
it really is Leonard. i was quite surprised

Good video, very nice tractors
definitely good facilites for the operator
Lovely tractors Ellie..my first John Deere had no heater or radio..your well spoiled keep learning lots and enjoy.
Great video - great tractor!
It sure is!
How does the use of the touch screen work when working on rough ground? Surely that's going to be an issue. I'm baling using a 6195R for comparison.
Hi 6M -250 looks like a big tractor 🚜 got plenty of information screens.
@@2626stephen it’s a lovely tractor inside
Very good eleanor nice video
Thank you! 😃
But the older style smaller door and window is an absolute win, large door a pain to open and shut.
Hi there
what is the difference between the 6m240 and 250?
Asking as a non-farmer, is that 50k as in price or speed i.e km per hour? Best wishes, Tony.
im not sure who this would be aimed at? do non arable farms need this hp? would arable farms not rather go with the 6 series?
Great to see ! I'm selling my car and getting a John Deere instead ✅✌️✨33 Percent more fun👌
😀
Good on you 😊👍🏆

Sorry, but Fendt is the best for tractors out there for now.
`you will have to drive the 6M and let me know your comparisons 👍. Thanks for watching too.
Asking as a non-farmer, is that 50k you mention the price or top speed I.e km per hour or neither, lol.
Yes Tony it is the speed. 😊Sorry I was not very clear 😊👍

Tractors are gone over complicated for what they need to be, too much to go wrong and expensive repairs
Dan has them for the reliability and good dealer back up with warranty.
That’s funny. I always think you all just like to complain cause you can’t afford the new ones. That’s what I’ve always have seen at least
