But its a very nice stylish ship.

I noticed on your stream the other day you and your friends where using the aerodynamics mod. I also heard him mention needing to put thrusters on the side of his airplane to stop side slip as well as noticing your drones had thrusters to do the same while having wings. If you put vertical wings on your planes then they will act as tails and correct the side slip. I've actually been doing nothing but using that mod as well as the hover bike mod, which has fighter jet style wheels, to make different airplane designs. I've made everything from small fighters, unarmed troop carriers, armed combat landers designed to drop troops then provide air support, all the way to jumbo jet style cargo/personnel haulers. Quite fun actually flying a real feeling plane and landing it on a runway. One thing that's unfortunate though is I need to run the shields mod because the runway will eventually take enough damage your planes will fall through it while landing or taking off.

Y'know, you could have put the 4 engine things closer to the actual ship instead of strutting them out like that to make sure the enemy knows where to shoot to take the thing down.

The lack of defensive weapons topside really leaves it exposed to interceptors which could easily make short work of the engine pods, or more critically, the bridge and command superstructure. Larger warships like frigates and destroyers would easily destroy it. However since it is a ground assault platform, it would probably be screened by escorts. Overall it looks really nice, some larger caliber bombardment artillery would probably not hurt but overall, fairly good
Found two major problems, enemies can take out the bottom of the ship, and deactivate the conveyors. Also the thrusters for front and back are on the bottom, and should be on top as they can be damaged, and the ship will til forward or backwards
+w4stedspace build a train as base of operation, it's a cheap way of transportation in terms of energy. So build a complete base in/on a train. Could cause some cool ww2 armored train tactics to be used.

Would be a hell of a pain if you tried to launch one and it's getting picked off by another craft. But I gotta say, I really like how everything is very compact and the ship has multiple redundancy. So if it does take a hit it can keep retreat or keep firing if need be. Would you ever consider altering the welders on the underside to provide different kind of payloads for different situations? Maybe even print out a short range drone fighter to swoop into the action? Or perhaps special ordinance that could be potentially more lethal?

I had a idea for an orbital bombardment platform yesterday - an orbiting satellite that will drop huge chunks of ore from space down on targets. I biuld an literal air-catamaran. Its handling like a ship as it has nearly no power to any side as forward and slopped armor at the sides creat the illusion of waves as they let you swing from side to side. Its my most fun ship^^
i like the carrier but why not look at a commercial kind of "gas station" a large pad with lots of cargo and area that allows ships to come and dock with it to more ore and stuff between planets and space it would have to have really really powerful thrusters and also be pretty light weight but would be really cool
w4stedspace, could you tell me how energy efficient such a floating carrier is? I imagine it drains a lot of energy just to maintain floating - and therefore I"m inclined not to build one. After all, permanent floating is not impossible without permanent energy (i.e. lots of uranium, as batteries don't charge fast enough I think?). What's your take on it?
u should make a bomber version of this where the bottom is only missile cannons and one camera to line up yo shots. and then just fill up the sides with turrets

Very interesting. Redundancy is a feature not often incorporated in ship designs in Space Engineers. Hope you continue making cool designs.

Hydrogen tanks should be explosive to balance hydrogen thrusters more (and of course because a tank of pure hydrogen would be explosive as well).

You should put rocket pods and times warheads on the decoy bomb so that it becomes a decoy rocket drone bomb thing. I dunno it would be pretty cool
If you're going to be hovering over their base you could just have projectors that produce bombs. Although the bombs getting shot could be an issue.
Reminds me of The Avenger, the new mobile HQ for XCOM 2, in how manoeuvrable it is for a large ship.

great ship, but with your turning/twisting issue, perhaps putting a connector on it and use the connector pull strength to pull it on one side? :)

In the server I played recently pepole closed up their bases and installing the defenses outside. ( I destroyed their bases with the worm. =) )
It looks like hidrogen thrusters are always pushing it upwards... Is it too heavy to use it only with the Atmo'thrusters?
