Ah Kiva my 8th favorite season. Personal anecdote time, my favorite rider in this season is Kamen Rider Rey. And no it's no because of the name. It's because of his motif and ice powers, as I love ice powers and I wanted a rider who had ice powers and stuff and then I saw Rey. Now I was a little disappointed with his reason on why he was a villian rider because it didn't work some what it came off one dimensional but it is what it is and I can't do anything about it. I will also say I heavily disagree with Marcosatsu on Yuri and Otaya's relationship working. I just didn't see it working and I don't know why but I guess not every relationship can work. As for the ost; I love the hell out of it. It is my second favorite OST in Kamen rider the first being Ryuki and I listen to it whenever I want to rock out to some rock and roll. My favorite somg on the album is Eternity Blood by Tetra Fang.
I like the design for Rey, but that's about it. It doesn't help that he is played by the same actor as Saga. I haven't watched Marcosatsu's review, did he really say Yuri and Otoya was perfect? Because I felt the show made sure you know right from the start nothing ends up happening between them in the long run.
Yeah I questioned why Saga's actor was casted for Rey like could they not get anyone else for the role? I also read a lot of people were confused by that too but whatever. As for Marcosatsu's History Of Kamen Rider Kiva, he called him a cheater and said he didn't deserve certain things happen to him to which that's kind of messed up and one sided.

@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork Why Was Kiva Cancelled? I Thought People Loved it And From What I've Heard Den-o Was Really Boring and Decade Was Uninteresting.
I finished kiva like 4 days ago. Yeah, if I am to summarize how I feel about kiva, it would be "Bad writing, saved by the soundtracks". Seems to me both of us are suckers for violin, huh? lol. I must say, at the 1st 10 or so eps, I can't stand the gimmicks & the anime tropes. At 1st, I didn't like Wataru & Ootoya at all. Eventhough, the 1st 10 or so episodes seems to be traditional formulaic monster of the week stuff that I should like. I was also thrown off by how seemingly-random they switched back to the past as well. So I went on a break & watched Kamen Rider Dragon Knight instead. Then I came back & I was surprised the flashy gimmicks & the anime tropes were decreasing & decreasing as the show progresses, Wataru & Ootoya also seems to mature. The jumping back & forth took a bit to get used to. And then, nearing the end, the writing quality dropped, things & characters starts to appear out of nowhere, characters doing things with no real reasons or clear motives. I'd still think Fangaia is a missed opportunity, could use actually proper horror treatment to make Fangaia feels like a real threat & they were actually building up Rook so well just to dropped the ball for the rest of the entire show. I also didn't like how they failed to handle Tago & his problems of his authority being challenged properly.Typical modern kamen rider writing style of introducing way too many things & can't end them properly. But to be fair, I do like the ending, it's kinda cute. It is funny that I don't hate any characters in kiva, I just don't like the writing quality in general. The actions are good, they overplayed the whole resurrected trope a few episodes too many times. So when the big bad showed up, I was actually annoyed at their lack of creativity above all else. I also didn't like Kiva suit, it looks like Kamen Rider Kuuga with Halloween theme. Kiva is just unoriginal. And Emperor form is kinda okay, I guess. Red & gold is just too basic, it's auspicious colours that you get to see everywhere anyway, so it's just meh to me. Dark kiva is just a rip off of kiva again. I feel like they were trying to go with the whole Black Sun vs Shadowmoon because modern kamen rider just got to rip off Kamen Rider Black tropes 1 way or another. But the Emperor form with Sunsword looks badass, so I'll give'em that. Saga suit is kinda ugly, I'm just not a fan. I do like the designs of Ixa, except the powered up form. Kiva is the 1st 1 so far I actually look up the soundtracks just to find the ones I like. I like pretty much all of the songs, which is a surprise even to me, must be the damn violins. Now I don't know should I continue watching Decade or try to slog through Den O. I've watched 6 eps of both, I enjoyed Decade more, but I hate the character. Den O is just annoying. Oh my 1st world problem! lol.
I'm a sucker for the violin indeed. Den-O seemed a lot worse when it first came out because at the time it was a complete tonal change from what Kamen Rider was doing. Now, it seems violent.
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork Now I feel depressed. It's super hard for me to slog through den o. I thought ryuki & agito was bad, this is just way worse. I tried to watch it in conjunction with drive, rebuild & shliban, nothing helps.

@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork well thats up their two
Honestly i think if this was brought to the US it would’ve been a hit given how popular Vampires are. Out of all the checkmate four though i think Rook and King are my favorites imo, due to the fact they’re probably the evilest of the four though am i the only one who gets Tim Burton vibes from the show?. Weird that this series never got a video game when every other Heisei show up to this point got one.
I think it would work too.
before the Twilight movies Kiva had the concept of vampires turned into shattered glass when they die, lol.
Quite true.
@@rayhayes7701 But I still consider Kiva a great showing of what I love about the franchise and consider it a great show. It's probably sad that it's sandwiched between Den-o and Decade because it really can't compare to either.

While I like Jetman, love Agito with every fiber of my being and 555 makes my blood boil, Kiva sits in that middle place amongst Inoue's series. While the bad stuff is certainly infuriating (as to be expected from Inoue), it doesn't necessarily outweigh the good. But the good stuff isn't mind-blowing either.
Kiva is certainly an enjoyable series, but when it comes to Inoue resume, it's sort of.......there.
I'll take Kiva over a lot of other series even if it isn't Inoue's best.
Kiva was kinda eh to me, I wasn't a fan of the plot structures and the time travel thing kinda threw me off for a show that Inoue wrote I kinda thought it would be similar to Agito and Faiz but guess not
I'll give it this at least the soundtracks and suit designs were cool
I loved the concepts with the time periods, but it was a bit messy with the execution.
I actually suprise that you like Kiva, cause i saw a Few comment says that they dislike Kiva a lot and Saying things like "Kiva is the Go Onger of Kamen rider"

@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork
Now I feel depressed. It's super hard for me to slog through den o. I thought ryuki & agito was bad, this is just way worse. I tried to watch it in conjunction with drive, rebuild & shliban, nothing helps.

Finally finished Den O, a literal torture, don't like it at all. The characters & the acting are top notch, though. Have you watched Gotchard finale? I recalled you said you gave up since 1st ep. So is it safe to assume you watched something else instead?
