Mafia: Definitive Edition is an upcomingaction -adventure video game developed by Hangar 13 and published by 2K Games. It is a remake of the 2002 video game Mafia , it was announced in May 2020 and is scheduled for release in September 2020 for Microsoft Windows , PlayStation 4 and Xbox One . The game is set in a reimagined version of the fictional city of Lost Heaven (after Chicago ) in the 1930s and follows the rise and fall of a taxi driver-turned-gangster, Tommy Angelo, within the Salieri mob family.

I would say that GTA isn't the improvement over this (and even story behind this game is ... Better. If you have been playing original version from 2000 something) that developers took a lot of things like driving in 2000S .. for that small studio (compared to rockstar) actually the original version was made by the same guy who made Kingdom come deliverance... I need to say that the original is masterpiece (but you need to speak Czech 😂) of course it's not RDR2 ... But mafia DE has got smaller budget and even smaller team (something like days gone: 3.6 not great not terrible, reference to Chernobyl) imagine these games with bigger budgets. Hold .. not everyone is blessed..

One the most insane best endings ever in a game.
I loved the play through of Mafia 1, 2, & 3 absolutely amazing games. However mafia 3 was way different from the other 2 but I still loved it. Would love to see a Chicago based mafia game or even an Atlantic City one!

The original Mafia game (Mafia, 2002, Czech game, Illusion Softworks:) ) is one of the national treasures of the Czech Republic 😂😂 I don't know anyone who hasn't played it or at least heard of it in our generation. Very beautiful for me see it in this graphic lvl.
I beat the original game in 2023 and it's a amazing experience to me
my fave game of all time I was 19 i think at the time. you get emotionally involved in the story, it's so well done and way ahead of its time even the graphics. This remake is only a good celebration of the original. peace

They need to sit down with Michael Franzese and make an open world fiction 5 families starting from Soldier working up to an Caporegime , Consigliere , Underboss to a boss of ya own family mixed with some reality downfalls like taking out a fictional Paul Castellano or fictional Albert Anastasia or taking orders from a mob boss from a federal prison like fictional Carmine Persico side missions hits man if someone really took the time 😅
Today if a AAA or even AA studio focused on good Mafia story, characters & gameplay they could make an awesome piece of art video game. Using history as well it would be awesome.. mix Mafia w/ the Godfather games w/ a sprinkle of Rockstars flare

First of all, i didn’t see a singal “normal” driving action here. Second of all, old tires did squeal a whole lot more then nowadays. Lotta people don’t consider that when talking about old movies also

I love this game. Played it on PS4 and then again on PC. This game looks so good on PC. The PS4 version was a looker, too.

I did not expect this game to be this good, i played Mafia 2 first, but this another level, most modern games are not near this level of polish
I started gaming in like 1991 on a NES, got a SNES in mid 90's and PlayStation in '97, XBOX in 2003, PS3 in 2007 and XBOX One in 2023. I plan to get a PS5 soon, I really want to play these titles.

If you're going to wait on the PS5 I recommend buying a PS4 cheap and playing the exclusives you missed. I did that with the PS3, played through the best titles for cheap! After I was done I was ready for a PS4. 🙂

The original, just updated with waaaaay better graphics & with checkpoints. Thing I hated the most about 1st edition of original was that if you got killed all the way @ the end of a level you would have to start the whole level back from the beginning. This edition is hi def AND much more player friendly.

I'm really bothered by the fact that they consistently create games like this. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Italian mafia games, but why are we focusing solely on them? Shouldn't we also have a game centered around the Irish mob, or more games featuring black gangs, biker gangs, or even a Mexican cartel game? How about more london mafia type games or how about some games based on pimping i mean seriously wtf is up with the creativity of these game creators?!

I love the irony when Paulie (perfect name for a backstabber)said our business has rules. Not too many it seems. First the "Diamonds" smuggled in were actually dope. Second, i guess women and children are not off limits (Salierei's family)

Picked up the first two Mafia titles on ps4.. Both are excellent but still working on.. Tried the demo for the 3rd.. Didn’t seem quite on the same level
I didn’t wanna play Mafia III for awhile cause of the woke vibes, EVERYTHING is about White racism. However, it is the best one in the series. Takes place in Louisiana, state I’m from & live in, & the soundtrack is 1960s PLATINUM! In the 1st two titles you end up being a made guy in a Mafia Crime Family. In this one your character is betrayed by a family, both crime & actual, & you take down the city’s Mafia. Anyways, I could go on & on, but why when you can experience for yourself? It actually ended up being my absolute favorite, despite my favorite gangster era being the Roaring 20s. Do yourself a huge favor & get it. I can’t guarantee your experience will be the same as mine, but truly can’t see how it wouldn’t…
