Considering how long their hiatuses are, BIGBANG's ability to retain their popularity is insane. Good music is truly their biggest strength. I know people in my country that aren't even fans of kpop (some might even dislike it) but would check out BIGBANG's music whenever they release something new. It says a lot about the public's confidence in their ability to produce good music regardless of the "genre"
Can't imagine the burden txt had to carry during their debut. Debuting is hard enough but imagine millions of eyes on you with such high expectations. I am so proud of debut txt who suffered so much yet managed to proof their worth as artists. I am so proud of their growth.

TXT has been going through hell since debut only because they're a junior of another group, despite not having any scandals and being such obedient group until now when they feel comfortable enough to show their chaotic comedic sides, moas please take this as a reminder to support txt harder as they deserve 🙏
TREASURE is not just an Idol, they’re Artists. All YG Artists trained physically and mentally. I hate YG but they chose an artist not just their talent, also have a very good personality.
YG's mistake was not allowing iKON to build and secure their fandom and almost no public exposure when they were rookies. They were extremely huge during debut. However, YG prioritized concert revenues in Japan because BIGBANG was enlisting and 2NE1 was disbanding with no active moneymakers. At that time, many groups were promoting having many comebacks and fandom activities, Produce 101 Wanna One, etc. Their Japan activities were limited and mostly don't reach intl fans. So when they were hit with serious issues they don't have a strong fandom to protect them. But when their songs have enough exposure the public do like their music.
ikon was really popular in korea before, since their songs are really korean gp friendly but we all know how easy for koreans to turn their back when someone has a rumor/scandal whether it’s true or not especially at that time most of their fans are koreans teenagers, kids and i think yg made a smart move pushing them more in japan coz even their concert this year is doing good it means they still have fans in japan. but i agree with you, i hope yg promoted them more internationally so that they wouldn’t lost a lot of fans.. and i think yg learned their lesson from that so i think moving forward their new artist or future artist will be promoted more internationally.. ✌️✌️✌️

Actually YG really had the wrong strategy from the start. YG should prioritize winner first before debuting ikon. Winner was also very famous in his debut era. It''s just why they were put on hiatus after that. I think the first 3-4 years is a very important time to build a fandom. Even if YG wants to debut ikon, winner should still comeback. Ikon should also comeback and promote more often. Blackpink is very lucky because even though they rarely comeback, their songs always succeed.

BIGBANG proves that u don't need mass buying fandom sales. They make amazing music with so many genre changes. BIGBANG is truly different. They don't strive to make public appealing music or fandom sales ; instead they make music that they think is good and usually is responsible for bringing new sound to the whole kpop scene.. many groups require constant activities and promotions to stay relevant but bigbang is totally different. That's what I like about them.. true musical artists..
I still listen 10-15 years old bigbang song like lie or blue.Their Live performances were also next level. These days kpop is like hard dance move & lip sync.

YESSS MY TXT! they debuted with high expectations, they started on different level from others (it's said by bang sihyuk himself), a lot of burden they carry since debuted (and 2019 to 2020 being their toughest year), I'm so proud of what they achieve so far, how they grow step by step until now.
there are a lot of 4th gen bg stans that loudly underestimate txt but they know that this is the group their favs need to beat. txt will continue to prove that slow and steady wins the race. they are not only loved internationally but in their home country and not many 4th bgs have that.
This graph and the teacher reaction to Treasure just proves that the only reason Treasure isn't doing that well chart wise is because people are closing their eyes to treasure not because their song are not public friendly. We should focus on making them international phenomenon because Korea still boycotting them for things they didn't do
It's generally okay music but it's not what people will remember or want to replay over and over again. It has nothing to do with scandals within YG. Good music will be on repeat once THE GP likes it. Look at IVE and G-Idle songs. There's no formula in making a public-friendly song...
@@최래지 there is a very big difference between GG and BG, there is many good songs by BG not charting that well no matter what is the number of their fandom ,while there is songs by GG that everyone agrees that they are not it yet are toping the charts. There is a very big bias that we can't ignore if we want to compare BG and GG, so it would be more logical to compare Treasure songs with another BG songs. Also yes it have things to do with YG scandals because till these days we see comments like " why are people still consuming YG? They look like a very nice group but they are from YG so I'm boycotting" that's another thing to not ignore, the teacher just said " these songs are good and easy to listen and would do well with GP why isn't it doing well?" Which prouves my point, people don't want to give them opportunity. To talk about GP not liking the song they have to make it to the top 200 first, because it's general knowledge that GP plays songs that are on the top 200 instead of looking for new groups, Treasure didn't get to do that because people swear to not give YG relevance. And it still a big thing with Treasure, till these days if you talk a good thing about Treasure you will be highly dowvoted and the comments will be filled with criticisms it's not just in Korea but also international. As the international hate is starting to go down we see more people playing and enjoying treasure songs when in 2020-2021 they would swear to their lives that these are the worst songs they heard. Another example Jikjin, we can all agree that it was one of the best Bg release this year yet many people would be like " I like the song but it's YG"

@@melomelody9796 There's no such thing as people going against YG in SK. That's just international Kpoppers making up stories again. In SK, if the music is good, it will play. South Korean's taste in music differs from the west or the rest of the world. You can never tell when people will like a song. Even if Jikjin sounds so cool, it still isn't a mass-friendly song. All I can say is, learn from BIGBANG, from Seotaiji and other male singers...instead of following other idols formula.

As a YG stan, I wish for my other groups to trend towards Bigbang's (my ults) path as well bc we all know fandoms can be volatile. I don't mind if the growth is slow as long as it's moving forward and never a step backward. Since their debut, TXT has been termed as priviledged boys by people from many fandoms. All of their achievements are denied just because BTS is their senior but they never know that TXT lost their hype after Crown and they have made their own successes since Run Away era. Now look at the statistics, they are 4th gen leader whatever you say. NOT ELEVATOR BUT STAIRS. Still their music is top-tier btw. They make their own music, tell their own stories and never try to make that kind of viral music regardless of the quality like some of other groups in kpop. Their albums are masterpieces ngl. I cant still get over 0X1=LOVESONG, Blue Hour, Opening Sequence, etc.
TXT is showing themselves very well as a 3 years old group actually they are growing very fast but very organicly too,, and most importantly they have the potential to show so these next 2 years they will top the most of the groups out there ! congratulations them in advance...
TXT is a solid definition/ example of not elevator but stairs. Since their debut they have been under so much pressure and scrutiny from every side for being debut under Bighit, when infact the Big 3 privilege is so big and evident in Kpop music market but TXT are the only ones who were so strongly hated and criticized for it. Anyways, I'm very proud of TXT. They and their fandom is growing bigger and bigger. Every comeback they had, their graph goes up, whether it be sales or unique listeners. The boys are very talented, they have very charming personalities and they actually make amazing music. This is just the beginning, I honestly see them reach more heights of success in future.
Other fandoms be pulling up priveledge card on txt not knowing the group they stan came from big 3. Anyways, TXT's immaculate discography will continue to reach new heights.

BEAST/HIGHLIGHT and BIGBANG still legends! Many fanboy still listen to their song until now bcs their music so unique, catchy and easy to listen. My music taste never fail. When you want chill and party you can listen to bigbang ex : fantastic baby, fxxk it, when you want to listen sweet melody with dramatic beat with a deep meaning and cool dancing style you can listen to Beast/Highlight ex : 12:30, this kind of music style you won't find it in any group.
I’m so proud of my rookie babies Enhypen. They definitely are a fandom group that has achieved so much in such a small timeframe (with Covid and not being able to promote like their seniors when they started out, it’s quite impressive). I’m so happy for their first world tour and to see them rise towards a more complete group as they get more opportunities and years/experience. This solidified for me why the media called them “monster rookies”

When he said ''it may be difficult for BTOB to put up a remarkable performance that receives a lot of attention'' because they're a group that focuses on singing rather than dancing, I think the exact opposite. What makes BTOB's performances iconic and different from the rest is their live vocals. We have too many groups that focus on dancing, but BTOB brings in something different and to me their performances are a lot more entertaining because of it.
I agree with this. That’s why they always end up getting lots of attention and new fans when they perform live. Even if your there (at the shows) to see performances with lots of choreos, you just can’t look away when BTOB performs. But internationally, people don’t get the opportunity to hear/watch them live/ listen to the radios with BTOB music etc. It’s possible to never hear about them if you’re from outside of South Korea. The only flaw BTOB has is their exposure internationally.
NCT Dream still has long way to go. Their member is still so young. Even on their 10th birthday, none of their member would go to millitary service. They have potential to grow more.
NCT DREAM is at the top in BG'S DIGITALS after BTS and BB, they have also those physical sales if only SM treat them as a normal group and promote them properly they'll be BIGGER than that. SM Is wasting NCT DREAM'S popularity and potential.

i’m so proud of enhypen, despite they’re only a rookie group not even 2 years old yet but the fandom growing so massive, all they need its a hit from genera public, but yeah the market team of hybe is kinda biased, enhypen barely have any promotion other than standard male idol promotion. but they’ll be big for sure.
BIGBANG's longevity is UNMATCHABLE. They drop music/album/single once in 3-5 years But never did they disappoint. They stay true to themselves, Being a VIP is only for the brave.
I’m so proud of how GOT7 has grown. Though they’re not as famous as the other bgs, but as GOT7 alone they continue to break their own records and that’s enough for me. In fact, is their first album they really EXECUTIVE PRODUCED, w/ 500,000 organic sales. More of that I am so proud of how they were able to release this year despite their busy individual schedules. My so much gratefulness for the effort, time, and love they had dedicated in making this year’s comeback happen. And more credits to JayB, who never missed to show that he’s the best leader ever💚🐥

Even more considering their achievements in 1.5 years as a soloist, jayb sold over 150k, bambam over 250k, youngjae around 150k (with sugar still counting sales) and yugyeom on his kr&b schedule with 50k, they are growing as a group and as a soloist, steadily even 8 years after their debut, also owning their own work Lets be proud!
BTS has that incredible rags to riches story. Like, just imagine being 15 and part of a company that's basically unknown, and other agencies/groups treating you badly just bc you're not as privileged as others. Imagine ppl online continuously trying to sabotage your career bc you're exceeding their expectations? Imagine other companies sending their reporters to your press conferences to ask disrespectful questions in order to sabotage your comeback? There is sooooo much BTS had to deal with from teenagers to now, they've had it far from easy, and I wish that guy explained it more in depth.

Thank you for knowing nct Dream. I thought people only knew nct. I hate the nct brand but I love 7Dream. There is a love-hate relationship. 7Dream only made a comeback once a year in the first 4 years of their debut with a mini album. and the comeback of the first full album + repackage in the 5th year of debut There is no debut in Japan and the US. There is no 7-person promotion other than Korea. SM doesn't want to be too famous. I don't even know how 7Dream has such loyal fans. including how outsiders know them Or even having new fans start to like them because SM rarely lets them promote anywhere other than music shows.
It's because of NCT DREAM'S talent, SINGING(vocals) Dancing, performance and chemistry as a team makes them know to GP back then and now and once you hear one of their songs you'll get hooked into them dig more about them and NCT DREAM is popular in Korea and Asia since then just so you know.

SM made me feel like they wanted to claim 7Dream's success for the brand all the time. I wouldn't hate this brand this much if SM appreciated Dreamies and took better care of their promotions, such as promoting 7 people (95% of events other than music performances). They performed only 5 people over and over again. I know again, 5Dream is doing really well and putting in a lot of effort, but SM should have 7Dream work together in a big concert or major promotion) SM is really bad.
They debuted and everyone had high expectations and for that reason they were the junior of BTS. Since debut they carried the burden and the TXT remained quiet in abundance but of the silence and remained humble they became the element where they also started to low and climb. While most are pulling the TXT down most are also resistant as they are being lifted.

Txt discography is insane. I have never been and never will be disappointed with their music. They continue to evolve. They have gained my trust as artists and performers.
Monsta X is an example how after so many hardships nothing will make them go down, groups will come and go but Monsta X will stay and they are so unique
Enhypen as a rookie achieving above average in terms of album sales says a lot. I can't imagine their growth in the next years. I'm so proud of my boys for achieving this. 🤧
@Ronmaker I don't really determine their popularity through the album sales, because even without it I can say Enhypen is pretty popular. They've charted in 9/10 biggest music markets in the world, charted in billboard 200 top 10, the first 4th gen group who charted Number 1 in Japan Hot 100, the FASTEST KPOP group to achieve 1 BILLION streams on spotify and a lot more achievements. The only thing they're not good at as of the moment is charting high in Korean music platforms, and Engenes are working on that. So I'm pretty sure Enhypen is popular today and they'll be more popular in the next years to come.
iKON definitely has their music as their biggest strength. They go and experiment new and different genres every comeback and I am absolutely proud of that
BTOB really is saved by their unique personality, songs, and talents, why i can say this? Bcs many people including me, become a Melody because of it. And they are one of the most hardworking idol group in my eyes bcs i remember they even got a title of "the longest boy group that got the 1st win" cmiiw, and think they are under cube ent., we dont know what'll happen if they didnt won that time, maybe we cant see them rn, and until now they still working hard making their own songs which is very good quality and ofc easy-listening. And all i can say is, THEY DESERVE MORE THAN THIS

For those who don't know DREAM barely got the sm privilege. Nct dream is that one middle child that barely got anything despite how much the fandom has been growing. Now seeing dream one of the successful boygroup make me feel very very proud and overwhelming. Hope more achievement for 7dream for upcoming years and 7DREAM concert soon 🤞
HIGHLIGHT's longevity is really amazing considering they left their previous agency, cube, after the 7 year contract and created their own agency, Around Us Ent.. They are still in the market and still in demand. And now their own agency is hiring and auditioning trainees. Great achievement for Highlight formerly Beast.
But Enhypen pretty awesome, they debuted at the end of 2020 and the ajushi said Enhypen in same position in 2021 with txt skz which is debut in 2018 and 2019

I think for Treasure, the greatest factor is that they debuted when the public's opinion on YG is at an all time low that is why there is a prejudice against them. Even if the songs are good,others simply are not willing to listen. But slowly and surely I know they will win the hearts of listeners with their talent...
I think they just need a momentum. With all of their talent, they are still underrated. Unfortunately, their concept is still ambiguous. They are just like another common boygroup. I hope they will find their uniqueness and clear concept. Also public friendly song like their senior.

Monsta X are the strongest group I've ever seen. Even with all ups and downs, issues where it seemed they would disband, they persevered, stood strong and continued with their passion. Like it or not, but many of 4th gen bg concepts are definitely inspired by them. They have made their own mark in this industry with their own concept, image and styles. They are example of slow and steady growth. As you know, slow and steady wins the race.
I think I can relate to what you said about it's kinda hard for BTOB to appeal the public with their performances, since we've seen a lot the group in fandom based did great to attract people by looking at their mv/ mushow views while BTOB isn't. I can see melody really grow since kingdom cause that show really showcase unique stages, live vocals & performances. But I also can't say they need to do that so often or we'll be dead due to mass voting & streaming 💀 But anw, this is a great content tho! I subscribed! Considering how long their hiatuses are, BIGBANG's ability to retain their popularity is insane. Good music is truly their biggest strength. I know people in my country that aren't even fans of kpop (some might even dislike it) but would check out BIGBANG's music whenever they release something new. It says a lot about the public's confidence in their ability to produce good music regardless of the "genre"

TREASURE is not just an Idol, they’re Artists. All YG Artists trained physically and mentally. I hate YG but they chose an artist not just their talent, also have a very good personality.

YG's mistake was not allowing iKON to build and secure their fandom and almost no public exposure when they were rookies. They were extremely huge during debut. However, YG prioritized concert revenues in Japan because BIGBANG was enlisting and 2NE1 was disbanding with no active moneymakers. At that time, many groups were promoting having many comebacks and fandom activities, Produce 101 Wanna One, etc. Their Japan activities were limited and mostly don't reach intl fans. So when they were hit with serious issues they don't have a strong fandom to protect them. But when their songs have enough exposure the public do like their music.
ikon was really popular in korea before, since their songs are really korean gp friendly but we all know how easy for koreans to turn their back when someone has a rumor/scandal whether it’s true or not especially at that time most of their fans are koreans teenagers, kids and i think yg made a smart move pushing them more in japan coz even their concert this year is doing good it means they still have fans in japan. but i agree with you, i hope yg promoted them more internationally so that they wouldn’t lost a lot of fans.. and i think yg learned their lesson from that so i think moving forward their new artist or future artist will be promoted more internationally.. ✌️✌️✌️

Actually YG really had the wrong strategy from the start. YG should prioritize winner first before debuting ikon. Winner was also very famous in his debut era. It''s just why they were put on hiatus after that. I think the first 3-4 years is a very important time to build a fandom. Even if YG wants to debut ikon, winner should still comeback. Ikon should also comeback and promote more often. Blackpink is very lucky because even though they rarely comeback, their songs always succeed.

BIGBANG proves that u don't need mass buying fandom sales. They make amazing music with so many genre changes. BIGBANG is truly different. They don't strive to make public appealing music or fandom sales ; instead they make music that they think is good and usually is responsible for bringing new sound to the whole kpop scene.. many groups require constant activities and promotions to stay relevant but bigbang is totally different. That's what I like about them.. true musical artists..
I still listen 10-15 years old bigbang song like lie or blue.Their Live performances were also next level. These days kpop is like hard dance move & lip sync.

they debuted with high expectations, they started on different level from others (it's said by bang sihyuk himself), a lot of burden they carry since debuted (and 2019 to 2020 being their toughest year), I'm so proud of what they achieve so far, how they grow step by step until now.
there are a lot of 4th gen bg stans that loudly underestimate txt but they know that this is the group their favs need to beat. txt will continue to prove that slow and steady wins the race. they are not only loved internationally but in their home country and not many 4th bgs have that.

It's generally okay music but it's not what people will remember or want to replay over and over again. It has nothing to do with scandals within YG. Good music will be on repeat once THE GP likes it. Look at IVE and G-Idle songs. There's no formula in making a public-friendly song...

There is a very big bias that we can't ignore if we want to compare BG and GG, so it would be more logical to compare Treasure songs with another BG songs.
Also yes it have things to do with YG scandals because till these days we see comments like " why are people still consuming YG? They look like a very nice group but they are from YG so I'm boycotting" that's another thing to not ignore, the teacher just said " these songs are good and easy to listen and would do well with GP why isn't it doing well?" Which prouves my point, people don't want to give them opportunity.
To talk about GP not liking the song they have to make it to the top 200 first, because it's general knowledge that GP plays songs that are on the top 200 instead of looking for new groups, Treasure didn't get to do that because people swear to not give YG relevance.

Since their debut, TXT has been termed as priviledged boys by people from many fandoms. All of their achievements are denied just because BTS is their senior but they never know that TXT lost their hype after Crown and they have made their own successes since Run Away era. Now look at the statistics, they are 4th gen leader whatever you say. NOT ELEVATOR BUT STAIRS.
Still their music is top-tier btw. They make their own music, tell their own stories and never try to make that kind of viral music regardless of the quality like some of other groups in kpop. Their albums are masterpieces ngl. I cant still get over 0X1=LOVESONG, Blue Hour, Opening Sequence, etc.
Other groups be aiming for a TikTok viral but TXT is just keeps releasing high quality music. Not to mention that TXT are always viral on TikTok.

When you want chill and party you can listen to bigbang ex : fantastic baby, fxxk it, when you want to listen sweet melody with dramatic beat with a deep meaning and cool dancing style you can listen to Beast/Highlight ex : 12:30, this kind of music style you won't find it in any group.

What makes BTOB's performances iconic and different from the rest is their live vocals. We have too many groups that focus on dancing, but BTOB brings in something different and to me their performances are a lot more entertaining because of it.
I agree with this. That’s why they always end up getting lots of attention and new fans when they perform live. Even if your there (at the shows) to see performances with lots of choreos, you just can’t look away when BTOB performs. But internationally, people don’t get the opportunity to hear/watch them live/ listen to the radios with BTOB music etc. It’s possible to never hear about them if you’re from outside of South Korea. The only flaw BTOB has is their exposure internationally.

In fact, is their first album they really EXECUTIVE PRODUCED, w/ 500,000 organic sales. More of that I am so proud of how they were able to release this year despite their busy individual schedules. BTS has that incredible rags to riches story. Like, just imagine being 15 and part of a company that's basically unknown, and other agencies/groups treating you badly just bc you're not as privileged as others. Imagine ppl online continuously trying to sabotage your career bc you're exceeding their expectations? Imagine other companies sending their reporters to your press conferences to ask disrespectful questions in order to sabotage your comeback? I don't even know how 7Dream has such loyal fans. including how outsiders know them Or even having new fans start to like them because SM rarely lets them promote anywhere other than music shows.
It's because of NCT DREAM'S talent, SINGING(vocals) Dancing, performance and chemistry as a team makes them know to GP back then and now and once you hear one of their songs you'll get hooked into them dig more about them and NCT DREAM is popular in Korea and Asia since then just so you know.

SM made me feel like they wanted to claim 7Dream's success for the brand all the time. I wouldn't hate this brand this much if SM appreciated Dreamies and took better care of their promotions, such as promoting 7 people (95% of events other than music performances). They performed only 5 people over and over again. I know again, 5Dream is doing really well and putting in a lot of effort, but SM should have 7Dream work together in a big concert or major promotion) SM is really bad.
They debuted and everyone had high expectations and for that reason they were the junior of BTS. Since debut they carried the burden and the TXT remained quiet in abundance but of the silence and remained humble they became the element where they also started to low and climb. While most are pulling the TXT down most are also resistant as they are being lifted.

Enhypen as a rookie achieving above average in terms of album sales says a lot. I can't imagine their growth in the next years. I'm so proud of my boys for achieving this. 🤧
@Ronmaker I don't really determine their popularity through the album sales, because even without it I can say Enhypen is pretty popular. They've charted in 9/10 biggest music markets in the world, charted in billboard 200 top 10, the first 4th gen group who charted Number 1 in Japan Hot 100, the FASTEST KPOP group to achieve 1 BILLION streams on spotify and a lot more achievements. The only thing they're not good at as of the moment is charting high in Korean music platforms, and Engenes are working on that. So I'm pretty sure Enhypen is popular today and they'll be more popular in the next years to come.

BTOB really is saved by their unique personality, songs, and talents, why i can say this? Bcs many people including me, become a Melody because of it. And they are one of the most hardworking idol group in my eyes bcs i remember they even got a title of "the longest boy group that got the 1st win" cmiiw, and think they are under cube ent., we dont know what'll happen if they didnt won that time, maybe we cant see them rn, and until now they still working hard making their own songs which is very good quality and ofc easy-listening. And all i can say is, THEY DESERVE MORE THAN THIS

For those who don't know DREAM barely got the sm privilege. Nct dream is that one middle child that barely got anything despite how much the fandom has been growing. HIGHLIGHT's longevity is really amazing considering they left their previous agency, cube, after the 7 year contract and created their own agency, Around Us Ent.. They are still in the market and still in demand. And now their own agency is hiring and auditioning trainees. Great achievement for Highlight formerly Beast.

I think for Treasure, the greatest factor is that they debuted when the public's opinion on YG is at an all time low that is why there is a prejudice against them. Even if the songs are good,others simply are not willing to listen. But slowly and surely I know they will win the hearts of listeners with their talent...
I think they just need a momentum. With all of their talent, they are still underrated. Unfortunately, their concept is still ambiguous. They are just like another common boygroup. I hope they will find their uniqueness and clear concept. Also public friendly song like their senior.

Monsta X are the strongest group I've ever seen. Even with all ups and downs, issues where it seemed they would disband, they persevered, stood strong and continued with their passion. Like it or not, but many of 4th gen bg concepts are definitely inspired by them. They have made their own mark in this industry with their own concept, image and styles. They are example of slow and steady growth. As you know, slow and steady wins the race.

I think I can relate to what you said about it's kinda hard for BTOB to appeal the public with their performances, since we've seen a lot the group in fandom based did great to attract people by looking at their mv/ mushow views while BTOB isn't.
I can see melody really grow since kingdom cause that show really showcase unique stages, live vocals & performances. But I also can't say they need to do that so often or we'll be dead due to mass voting & streaming 💀
