    I'm about to do a 2" body lift on mine but first I gta get my floor pans done. The mounts behind the front tires are rusted out and u can see it through the floor. I cut it all out all the rust. Now I gta figure out what to use for the floor brace and that's what ur lift bolts to... so idk maybe some u-channel. 🤷‍♂️

      Might work...I have been pretty lucky with mine, they are all from the desert areas ...so I do not have much rust issues.
      Good Luck on your projects.

    Can ideas on the 6 body studs? Mine need replaced. They are tapered with a plastic sleeve. But they are shot. Cant find a replacement for them.

      Are you referring to the 8 bolts that secure the body to the frame? Our 94 had some serious rust issues so we just made steel plates and used them as patches with new bolts welded to the plates. Any bolt with the proper length should work.
      Probably not the answer that you were looking for....

      Ok. I have a game plan for the structure of the body but the studs themselves are rusted and the plastic sleeves that are slipped on the studs are busted in two. I was just wondering if I could use the same size regular bolt. And if I needed to use a sleeve to fit tight against the stock bushings. I could always weld a carage bolt to a washer then to the new sheet metal to use for new studs. I just can't find anything online about it and figure I'd ask you. Love your channel and thank you

      The front bolts for the body under the headlight are in great condition. I purchased the low range 2 inch body lift. It came with new bolts for the front. The 4 center studs were all rusted through so I need to figure out a game plan for the mounts under the front floorboards support crossmember and the rear cab corners.

      Got it.. Mine had rusted out the 4 lower bolts, So what I did was cut out the rusted area back to good metal, removed about 4x4 inch Squares in my case. Then I cut some 3/32 plate into 4x4 patches. Drilled a hole in the center, slide the bolt in from the top, ...welded the bolt in place and then welded the patch to the area I had just cut out. Messy, but it works. this is a short th-cam.com/users/shorts55kgiB7rY8A @@alexanderthegreat3674

    Very nice. I really enjoy your channel. Would this be applicable to a 2001 Chevy Tracker 4 door as well? Also is any steering shaft mods needed?

      @tufftrails  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, It is very similar to the 2nd Gen Trackers. On the 1st gen models it is recommended that an extension, of 1" be added to the steering shaft assembly. I have never need to do such on any of our Trackers. Thank you for your comment.

    Did you have to make any changes to the automatic shifter linkage

    • @tufftrails
      @tufftrails  ปีที่แล้ว

      No altercation are required on automatic transmission linkage. The transfer case shifter must be bent or extended to accommodate for the lift. Thank you for your question.
