What a outstanding Ford Lou! I remember the gun sights on the fenders my neighbor had them on his two Galaxies when was growing up as a little fella. Just gorgeous sunliner! I loved the interior!

That's a beauty Lou! My dad a had a similar '60 fire engine red Sunliner with a white interior. Had a 352 4bbl dual exhaust and a tree onda tree with an overdrive. He also poked more than a few holes in the 18' MFG motorboat that he towed when backing it into the driveway with those tail fins! What a land yacht!... the Sunliner not the MFG! HAH!

My recollection of 60 Ford's were that they were rarely highly optioned. So this Sunliner with power seat is a real treat. Too bad no Select Aire from the factory.

Had a 1960 while in the Air Force. It was a 6 with a 3 speed column shift. I beat this car to death. Never stoped running. They were tough cars and that was in 1960.

Bumper guards to protect the bumper....from bumps. One has to wonder whether Ford made money on this car.

    • @loucostabile

NOT restored to factory correct. Wide whitewall tires, not stock. Fender skirts not stock. Wheel covers not stock. Dual rear radio antennas not stock either. High performance 352 engine was gold color, not blue. Only the 352 2v engines were blue. 352 4v engines were yellow. 352 hi-po engines were gold. This owner is not telling the true facts.

@@loucostabile Actually, the items that were mentioned are factory correct. They were Ford accessories. The engine color is the only inaccuracy. I think the owner mis-spoke. I don't believe the gun site story is true. Initially Ford offered a "300" model as a base car. This model was not equipped with gun sites. The "300" model was dropped very early in production or maybe even prior to the release of the '60 model year. The Fairline was considered the base model after the dropping of the "300".

fantastically historical vehicle that captures my attention due to its rarity. the original tissues still in the dispenser! the only thing I never could stand about these 60 ranger type cars is the similarity in the rear to one or more rambler American models that you would see. not too sexy of a look.
