You can buy it from any electrical shop , ask them to give you zero hole box or PVC gang box or switch box. Different shop keepers call it with different names.

no , because he use step down module which work perfectly with higher input voltage as be required output from it . if you require 12 v constant from it then use 13v to 14 v but amp is not much to charge a battery. so he use higher voltage power adapter make it easy or customizable voltage range for future use.

@@romsaymwiti9387 it's possible but although you can boost voltage that will be at the expense of power amperage, let's say you have a 12v 5amp adaptor connect to the boost converter once boosted to 24v you will probably have about 1.5amps available, that's a large loss.

Looks more like a lead-acid battery he is charging so he is safe. However, if it was connected to a real Li-ion battery a fire will probably ensue.
