    this is really great info for those who haven’t broken down the menu! my go to is usually half chow mein half greens with orange chicken and then I’ll have my own chicken breast at home. if I’m not gonna be home I do the mushroom chicken or green bean chicken which are also great lower cal options that are legit tasty!

    Healthy vs. unhealthy is a great series idea. I like to eat clean and natural. But calories are only a consideration for weight not the telltale marker of a healthy food choice.. Whether or not the food is natural, whole, fresh, nutritious and free of chemicals is more important to me and some others in terms of health. Whole grain like brown rice over bleached rice, for example, would be a better choice for me as a lover of whole natural foods. Also, a drink without chemical sweeteners would be best for me, like a naturally flavored mineral water or even pure juice.. And although I love the taste and still crave Panda Express sometimes (like black pepper chicken and kung pao shrimp), I was appalled to find all their meals had chemical preservatives (synthetic phosphates) ..probably due to the sauces. Love all the vegetables though.

    Nice vibe on this vid right here. I really liked the change-up & the content. I eat at Panda Express from time to time & I always stay away from their Broccoli 🥦 Beef dish because I don't like how they cook it. It seems their method is slightly different than actual (somewhat authentic) Chinese restaurants. I like the Broccoli Beef from other (more authentic) traditional Chinese restaurants but not from Panda Express for some odd reason. Their Super Greens? I'm not a huge fan of their Super Greens either because I like my veggies a little more cooked. I'm not a fan of that crunchy undercooked "al-dente" style of cooking veggies. Not for me, personally. If I wanted them undercooked? I would eat them raw so I don't order the Super Greens anymore. I used to order white rice 🍚 more often but now I usually order the Lo Mein/Chow Mein option because I feel it tastes a little better but I can rock with the white rice too! I rarely ever order the brown rice (or fried rice) but I've done it a few times in the past. Thank you for shining some light on the calories with the Orange Chicken & Beijing Beef option @ Panda Express. I'll still order them every once in a while but I will not be ordering those 2 items any time soon. I think I'm taking a break from those 2 items @ Panda in the near future but I won't give them up completely. Just until I get better on track with my weight, health & fitness goals. Panda 🐼 Express is like the fast food McDonald's "equivalent" of authentic Chinese Food but surprisingly most of their items & options taste pretty good. Nothing special in quality & not exactly very ethnically innovative, authentic or traditional but it works in their specific market. It's a profitable idea & concept so it works. Anyway, great review & advice Kingschratz!👑🙏 Catch you on the flipside my guy! Peace ✌️🕊️

    The beef and broccoli is super hit or miss. I work there now and try to give a good ratio of beef to broc whenever I can. My go to now is half white rice and greens and double teriyaki chicken. For lowest calorie options I would also recommend the teryaki chicken without the teryaki sauce. I just get me some GHughes teryaki or mandarin sauce and its fire either way. Although I believe it is still 250 calories which is more than your options. But a plate of 2 super greens orders w/ 2-3 of those 'healthy' entrees is still generally

    • @tylergillis94
      @tylergillis94 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In Canada, I get the teriyaki chicken with no sauce. The black pepper angus steak, and for side half white rice and half mixed veggies. Clocks in at 750 calories at 55g of protein. Keeps you very full and you get a good range of food.

    It's a shame Wendy's got rid of their side salad because I used to have a pretty darn cheap and healthy meal from there all things considered.
    But definitely one reason why I love the teriyaki places at the food court. White rice, the vegetable stuff, and freshly grilled chicken. I have to imagine that is pretty healthy as well with a water.

    Honestly I would not recommend brocc n beef. The grilled teriyaki chicken is a much better value if you're watching your weight. it's got over 3x the protein, eating more protein is great for satiety and also for maintaining and building muscle mass - another crucial aspect to staying healthy.
    So for me I would do either:
    A: super greens + 3x grilled teriyaki no sauce
    B: super greens/brown rice + 3x grilled teriyaki no sauce
    A little more calories, sure, but you'll be so much fuller and you'll be getting so much more protein. Honestly skipping the rice entirely saves a lot of calories too, the greens are healthier anyways.

    I know nutrition well, but I actually recently searched TH-cam for healthier food reviews. I also often look at nutritional content of foods on labels as well as restaurant menus, as I am trying to be more health conscious. About a month ago, I looked at Panda Express' menu, prior to going there. I was out of town, so I needed to find a healthier option. I actually got the broccoli with beef, and most of it was broccoli. :-(
    Please keep doing these type of reviews as part of your usual.
