Part 8: We Hold 57 days before the Fall of Stormguard, Southern Wall of Stormguard "In conclusion, all minor breaches are sealed, but the wall guns remain at a 42% efficiency. Most guns will have to remain silent during the next assault." As Lord-Captain Arkio finished up his report, the other officers remained quiet for a moment. They each knew what this news meant. The next assault would be even more severe than the last one. Eckhart spoke first, he still held wall command after all "We have three downed wall sections, each close to one another. We can freely move reinforcements between them and we have a Titan running to turn the tide in the worst places. Best estimate, we can hold for three more days." His words were met with nods of affirmation, not just from the officers, but the other soldiers as well. "I want those three days, no matter the cost. Men and Astartes will function as a replacement wall for three days, before we fall back to the outskirts of the Fortress-City. Questions?" A hand was raised from amongst the human officers. Eckhart remembered the man's name, of course he did. He had made it a point to learn the names of every soldier under his command, as he found the recognition often boosted morale. "Master of Ordnance William Zatril, correct?" The man was struck with silence for a moment, clearly not used to someone of the Lord-Captain's rank remembering his name "Ehm, yes Lord. The requisitioned artillery has arrived. I was told to ask where you wish them deployed." Eckhart took a moment to let the question sink in with everyone, before answering "The other Lord-Captains, Overseer Varrash and I have marked positions on the maps of the nearby outskirts where we want the guns set up. These maps will be shared amongst every individually functioning unit, whether those are squads of my own brothers or a brigade of Guardsmen. These are also our fall back positions. Each is heavily fortified and they will obviously have artillery support." He wanted to ask for more questions, but he was interrupted by flashing icons on his helmet display. It was with a heavy sigh that he turned around to look past the wall breaches, and motioned everyone to take positions. This time, the enemy did not bother to throw the canon fodder into the breaches first. The enemy they faced were not the Rotstruck Host, but rather a mercenary warband of the Heretic Astartes. These Berserkers came at them, chainaxes roaring and a single thundering warcry shared amongst all of them, echoing over the walls and rolling over the defenders. "BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!" The battlecry that answered them came in the form of the distant roars of the artillery guns firing down upon them. It would have pleased Eckhart greatly if that would have stopped them, but he knew that hope would betray him. It always did, and he whispered the words of an old saying that echoed through his mind "Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment." Overseer Varrash caught the words escaping his mouth and whispered an answer back to his friend "Aye, in the end only hatred remains." Both men shared a knowing glance before readying their weapons and finally putting on their helmets. Both men had decided that they would not wait for the enemy. They would meet their fury head on and match it with their own. Two warcries rose from the defenders. First the Blades made their voices heard, following their Lord-Captain "Duty, Loyalty, Retribution!" Not to be outdone, the Wardens echoed the words of their Overseer "We are the Judgement for thy Sins!" In a clash of metal, blood and violence, the two chapters met their foe in the wall breaches.

When she awakens, she will find things not as they once were, but forever changed. For better or worse is yet to be determined. The moon runes on one cheek and the runes of the sun on the other, she awaited the stars to come and wake her. Until then, she would be oblivious to the sacrifice that was needed of her. The pain to come. The Stars were content to let her sleep, if only for a little longer. For when she awoke, she would wish to return to slumber forever.
Well at least there’s some still with dreams. The way this world is fulfilling Bible Prophecy at such a speed, I have no dreams anymore. Only Christ is applicable. Everything else in this world, if held to, will become a never ending nightmare without Him. Sure you still wanna waste time on dreams???

such beautiful melodies so much emotion so authentic i just couldn't stop my emotions while listening to it and tears of not sadness nor happiness but pure freedom came down my face it's just so magnifique keep up the good job♥
The first song with those female vocals reminded me so much of Ariel in the Little Mermaid. Just listen her sing for Ursula and you will maybe hear the connection. That was cool because I have always loved that song and this was like a different version of that. Reminded me of mermaids and sirens.
