Welcome everyone to this map tour video of the utterly gorgeous Medicine Creek, originally made for FS19 by No Creek Farms, and beautifully recreated for FS22 by MRG Mapping.
The map is still in its BETA stage but is still, in my humble opinion, perfectly playable! Please check out MRG Mappings itch.io page linked above for updates on the maps progress.

I agree with you on your statement "less is more" when you don't need loads of selling/production points for the sake of it.

One of the best map tutorials I've seen yet! And a great map to boot. It's so realistic for what we have here in Missouri. No other map I've seen competes with it as far as Midwest farming. Thank you!

Did you ensure you owned that silo? It’s considered a production point that may cause issues with the blower not working if you don’t actually own that production point
Yes mate I did ensure I owned the silo, and the land it was built on.
@@Farmer-Sim I only asked because I may or may not have spent an hour with the help menu hidden trying to get the blower to work to realize I never owned the damn thing 😅😭
Did it end up working for you? And if so could you give me some instructions 😅? I've spend about 30mins futzing with and damn thing (I did buy the silo) and it hasn't worked, I had both the blower and tractor on, the PTO connected and the pipe lined up. Did you get an messages telling you to press and key to unload?
@@Tactical_Tism Hello mate! Actually no I didn't end up getting it working. I made sure I owned the silo and the land, but the blower just shot grass into the air then created a pile on the ground underneath it. The tip trigger for both the blowers I'd tried were pretty small so that bit was tricky too. If I'm right in saying I don't think the blowers give you tip triggers when trying to unload into the silo. Once you've got the blower connected you have to activate the 'unload here' function to power it up. Were you experiencing the same thing mate?
There seem to be no triggers for the beef cattle lot for the green farm in the south. The triggers are usable, they're just invisible. I'm not sure where to pick up slurry and manure lol
Hey Russell, aah ok I hadn't picked up on that one mate. At least the triggers still work though, that's the main thing :) As for the slurry and manure I couldn't say I'm afraid, might be worth dropping MRG a note on the itch.io page? :)
@@Farmer-Sim I actually noticed someone else already has, I also came across another issue with that farm that has also been left as a comment. Productivity of the cattle never seems to rise above 0%. Absolutely love this map and that farm though, so hopefully they can get worked out!
Quick question. Which if any buildings can be removed, and what ground textures are included. Thanks for the tour. Cheers

@@robinhodgkinson Apologies. I did say at the beginning of the video that the map contains Antler22's new ground textures and alfalfa textures, new lime textures, multi terrain angle, tall mowable grass, and seasonal grass textures. The starter farms aren't modifiable unless you use GE but like I said in the video there is huge amounts of space if you prefer to create your own farm from scratch. Apologies if you thought there was a lot of info missing.
@@Farmer-Sim Hey thanks for the reply and update and fair enough I’m being a bit harsh saying lots of info missing. Everyone plays FS differently and farm building is a big part of the game for me so details about textures, farm flexibility is what I’m looking for as well. Cheers.

@@Farmer-Sim just downloaded the Medicine Ck. map. It has a grand total of 6 basic ground textures! I've been playing on The Oaks for a while. It has 27 textures, all common to many other maps. Beats me - why so few on some maps? The layout of the map is good, topography great, but it sadly lacks realistic detail imo. Cookie cutter edges to grass, monotone gravel... Looks like another Taheton County. Same story. Anyway thanks for the video...

@@Farmer-Sim it’s high mid end system. It handles it well enough! But the super real atmosphere of that map mixed with that row crop I think would be a blast! Thanks for highlighting the map!

Hey Joseph! The purpose of the map preview was to raise awareness of its existence mate and to showcase the incredible job MRG has done bringing it to FS22. I hadn’t intended on doing a second map preview as mods and maps are quite often updated post version 1 :)
can you buy one of the farms there and delete everything on it and build the way i would want too?.
Hey Darren! No I’m afraid not mate, the buildings on the farms aren’t removable unless you use GE. But there are plenty of areas for you to build your own farm on from scratch! :)

Hey Ned! Thankyou very much mate really appreciate that, glad you enjoyed the video! Without being 100% informed I'd have to say that's probably unlikely. If you play on PC you can download the map from MRG's itch page but if you were hoping for console, with it being a 4x map it'll never happen buddy I'm afraid.

Without knowing how easy/difficult it is to make a map MP compatible I don’t want to say ‘oh just edit an XML’ or something equally as naive. Maybe one of our wonderful modding community members will do that conversion one day :)
how many cows and how much feed
Hi Johnny, with the two beef lots that are part of the starter farms you have 60 cows, with each lot having a total capacity of 700 cows. The stand alone cow area next to the Ag Bags is made up of 2 cow barns. The smaller one contains 30 cows out of a possible 700, and the larger one contains 60 cows out of a possible 700. Each of the barns holds a total of 1,200,000L of food.
@@Farmer-Sim That'll do Farmer, That'll do...lol thanks I was actually playing on it last night, after I made comment I was like you know you downloaded map you could just get on and farm. I did have an issue first time i tried to open, I forgot to uncheck corn drying, I also found it seams to play better with out premium dlc or which ever the carrot one is.

Hello mate! It's probably easier for me just to tell you how to do it here. Download the file from MRG Mappings itch.io page: mrg-mapping.itch.io/medicine-creek-version-2 Once downloaded place that ZIP file (FS22_MedicineCreek_V2) in the games mod folder, by default it's in Documents/My Games/FarmingSimulator22/mods and hey presto Medicine Creek should be in your selectable maps when you boot up the game :)

The map was way better on FS19. On fs22 its pretty basic
Having never experienced it on 19 mate I wouldn’t know. There’s definitely nothing wrong with this version though, it’s an absolute belter of a map! :)

Hi there, this is almost the same identical comment you left on this video the other day. I did try my best to explain to you the reasons why bigger maps aren’t available to consoles.

Unfortunately I believe it's the older generation consoles that are the cause of that limitation.
@@Farmer-Sim even on my Xbox serie a x this map Is not available , unless there Is a reason why i cannot find It.
@@massimopavera It's because all the maps and mods that are available for consoles are currently limited by the least capable console that the game currently supports, in this case the PS4. Once support for these consoles stops, the mod and map limitations would then be decided by the next least-capable console, if that makes sense? :)
@@Farmer-Sim inhave an Xbox series x but all the Maps that are on the modhub Simply do not upload , probably i Need to uninstall all the mods and try tò upload the disc from the start.

The fields are the same as Elmcreek?? This comment makes absolutely no sense. At all. Apart from the fact they might contain the same crops…and will have tractors driving on them, they are not the same. And as for being the same as other maps??? I honestly just have no idea what to say to that or how you can look at a map like this and dismiss it as ‘just the same as other maps’
my question is, why always John Deer????? Are there any other tractors ????? as a farmer it kills me to see so many John Deer tractors when John Deer is not the most powerful tractor.. caseIH is the highest horsepower tractor.. fs22 is a great sim, but I feel it is wrong to by them putting John Deer as the top tractor on all maps. I LOVE FAIRNESS A FAIR PERSON IS MY HERO... 99% of maps are not about farming must look good if you are not into farming
It's not always John Deere. There are many MANY maps out there with Case dealerships, New Holland dealerships, JCB to name a few. And what has being the most powerful got to do with it? I'm not a farmer in real life and even I know that farmers don't just buy tractors/machinery based on which has the highest HP. Preferred marques, family history/loyalty to a brand plays a huge part. But also, and probably most importantly is the cost! And to say 99% of maps are not about farming is quite frankly disrespectful to the modders & map makers who spend weeks, months even years creating maps for us to play on and also complete and utter nonsense.
Wring john deere does have one of the highest hp tractors 😊 coming soon 18l non def 😮
I agree with you. As a new holland guy it hurts me to say that john deere finally has the most powerful tractor. The 9x 830 is the biggest tractor right now. Followed by case, then new holland
