My daughter was a nanny, next door was a doctor, married with 3 kids and one on the way. The wife admitted they didn't give a sh*t about their dog after kids. My daughter worked right next door for 3 years, driveway between the house's and never saw the dog until the owner was pregnant. The dog was skin and bones, was let out of the basement at 7am just to potty, back in until 530 pm, then out to potty and back in. Slept in a wire crate with a plastic bottom, no blanket, pillow etc. The basement was unfinished, they never went down there, only to let her out. My daughter was so upset, she would feed her thru the fence. Long story, but told the owner if she ever wanted to rehome the dog she would take her..owner said, when can you come get her? I came that evening, took her for a walk around the ritzy neighborhood and she has been right beside me for 3 years now. BEST dog I've ever had in 60 yrs. pit/lab/doberman. This was a doctor and his wife. So crazy. Disgusting. She was afraid to drink water anytime she wanted it since she was only given water twice a day. Even now, she goes out only twice a day, 7 and 530. But she gets to swim and hike, play ball and live out in the country and smell all the smells! And she is a favorite at Lowes. ( we can take our dogs into Lowes here) Everyone loves her! 😚🐕 especially me! 😚😚
Bless you for saving her. I rescued a Pittie who was chained to a tree his whole life. Belonged to my neighbor--stupid people. It was agony watching this. Finally convinced the abusers to let him go. I grabbed him and had a home all set for him. Please everyone save the ones put in your path. If you can't keep them, get them out of danger and make the connections for a foster or forever home. It's like I recognise those eyes. My mum owns a doggy daycare business, and there is this one dog called Bruce who's a golden retriever. He's what I call a 'smiley dog' because if he's happy you would know because he smiles and his whole eyes light up. It goes the same with any personality, and personally, he's my favourite we look after
I ask myself, why do I keep watching these, they are so heartbreaking. Then I get to the end and see a dog, happy, smiling while jumping around and you know it now has the love they so desperately needed and I think....that's why I watch these.

Vlad survived 7 days of starvation and thirst, whilst writhing in agony every single night in the cold and unforgiving wilderness, forced to endure the pain of a severe injury. You’d think a dog who’s suffered so much would despise, avoid or even growl at humans. Not even the slightest. The first sign of human contact trying to approach him, he did not show any hostility or hesitation. He showed all he love he’s able to give. He didn’t ask or cry for food. He just wanted love. He wanted someone to be with him and spread his love in order to take his mind off the pain. Let that sink in, ladies and gentlemen. The amazing fortitude of a dog. I love you, Vlad. All animals are beautiful. You can't put a cost on life. I just paid a thousand pounds to treat my cat for pneumonia. It was worth every penny and saved her. She is ten years. Everything else is materialistic. This is saving a life and life is precious.

Looks like Vlad (now Buddy) was adopted and now lives in Phoenix, Arizona USA. Has a playmate and a pool and his own doggie door. How are you confused about what I said. Obviously, I am not talking about the people in the video, who saved the poor dog. I am referring to the owner who didn't take proper care of the poor dog. Taking proper care of a pet includes adequately feeding, watering, sheltering, loving and supervising - whether on a leash outside or kept inside. Failing to do any of the previously mentioned things is considered "neglect", which is a form of abuse.

It's obvious that that dog had belonged to someone at one point. I've gained a lot of pets this way. They weren't starving like that poor pup, but obviously belonged to someone and obviously dumped. They were all good pets.
It's a pretty sad day when people thumbs down a dog that was starving and injured. This dog is so so so sweet and please think before you dislike an animal sight. All animals are God's creatures and I am sure he made them with joy in his thoughts.
I think some people thumbs down videos because they are upset the dog got hurt...not because they don't like the outcome. They're just looking at it differently.

Dogs don't always naturally know you are trying to help them. There was a german shepherd roaming around our area some years ago, it was in a dreadful state. I tried tied put a lead on it to take it home to look after it, it would not allow me near it. It eventually went to a young girl and she put the lead on it. I took it home, cleaned it up and gave it to the local council dog group. We were told it would be put down if no one claimed it in seven days, I phoned up after six day and they said they were going to put it down the next day, I told them I would take it. It did't seem to like me but gradually came around to being a great friend with our other two dogs, my wife and myself. After about 6 months she became so friendly towards all of us and was great addition to our family.
oestera85 Very valid point! I keep mine in an enclosure outside with his own dog house. When I walk him I use a harness for better control. I understand most people may not have that luxury and that’s another reason dogs run away and get lost. He’s microchipped too. My big dog has it made in the shade 😁

Annie Dotso, I was talking to him and doing the same, how could anyone resist? My two parakeets sit there and stare at me when I talk to them, like they think I'm crazy. But they understand every word I say and when I say "kiss" they do it. One is male and one is female. They are so cute. They also fight. The female pushes the male away from the food and the treat tree, so he pretends to grab her tail with his beak and gives it a gentle tug, just to let her know she has had her share and it's his turn. My sweet Lord!! I think he is afraid of her because she is so bossy and bully's him.

I’ve taken in several dogs and kept till they died of old age, strays make the best dogs, found this long haired looking Rottweiler looking dog he was a tiny little puppy running through my cattle pasture so I loaded him up and went by nearby houses to see if he belonged there and no one owned him so he road around with me the rest of the day he even ate my lunch I just had coffee but I wasn’t hungry anyway lol, so fast forward 12 years I called him Boots cause someone booted him out when he was a tiny puppy, he had an awesome life no fence all the land he could roam around but he likes being close to house, he finally got the cancer had to put him down couple months back, but he lived long life for a big dog he weighed 120# and was 12 years old. I’m just waiting on the next find, this story don’t mean come drop one off either. I’m also 12 years older to lol,
Short Story: I went to college down in Mexico years ago. One night with friends we are at a Taco Stand, a stray comes along, dark ashy color, wire hair mix hound. I feed her a couple tacos, she follows me home, 4 city blocks. It's a ground floor apt with a small backyard, where I was staying at the time. She got used to my place real quick. Within a week , she was waking me up in the mourning to go to school, no alarm clock needed. I wouldn't have graduated without her help. I took her back to the States with me. She passed away 3 yrs ago. This year I'm going down to Mexico again, I shall find another hound. 🙏🏻

How are you confused about what I said. Obviously, I am not talking about the people in the video, who saved the poor dog. I am referring to the owner who didn't take proper care of the poor dog. Taking proper care of a pet includes adequately feeding, watering, sheltering, loving and supervising - whether on a leash outside or kept inside. Failing to do any of the previously mentioned things is considered "neglect", which is a form of abuse.

It's obvious that that dog had belonged to someone at one point. I've gained a lot of pets this way. They weren't starving like that poor pup, but obviously belonged to someone and obviously dumped. They were all good pets.

Dogs don't always naturally know you are trying to help them. There was a german shepherd roaming around our area some years ago, it was in a dreadful state. I tried tied put a lead on it to take it home to look after it, it would not allow me near it. It eventually went to a young girl and she put the lead on it. I took it home, cleaned it up and gave it to the local council dog group. We were told it would be put down if no one claimed it in seven days, I phoned up after six day and they said they were going to put it down the next day, I told them I would take it. It did't seem to like me but gradually came around to being a great friend with our other two dogs, my wife and myself. After about 6 months she became so friendly towards all of us and was great addition to our family.

oestera85 Very valid point! I keep mine in an enclosure outside with his own dog house. When I walk him I use a harness for better control. I understand most people may not have that luxury and that’s another reason dogs run away and get lost. He’s microchipped too. My big dog has it made in the shade 😁

Annie Dotso, I was talking to him and doing the same, how could anyone resist? My two parakeets sit there and stare at me when I talk to them, like they think I'm crazy. But they understand every word I say and when I say "kiss" they do it. One is male and one is female. They are so cute. They also fight. The female pushes the male away from the food and the treat tree, so he pretends to grab her tail with his beak and gives it a gentle tug, just to let her know she has had her share and it's his turn. My sweet Lord!! I think he is afraid of her because she is so bossy and bully's him.

I’ve taken in several dogs and kept till they died of old age, strays make the best dogs, found this long haired looking Rottweiler looking dog he was a tiny little puppy running through my cattle pasture so I loaded him up and went by nearby houses to see if he belonged there and no one owned him so he road around with me the rest of the day he even ate my lunch I just had coffee but I wasn’t hungry anyway lol, so fast forward 12 years I called him Boots cause someone booted him out when he was a tiny puppy, he had an awesome life no fence all the land he could roam around but he likes being close to house, he finally got the cancer had to put him down couple months back, but he lived long life for a big dog he weighed 120# and was 12 years old. I’m just waiting on the next find, this story don’t mean come drop one off either. I’m also 12 years older to lol,

Short Story: I went to college down in Mexico years ago. One night with friends we are at a Taco Stand, a stray comes along, dark ashy color, wire hair mix hound. I feed her a couple tacos, she follows me home, 4 city blocks.
It's a ground floor apt with a small backyard, where I was staying at the time. She got used to my place real quick.
Within a week , she was waking me up in the mourning to go to school, no alarm clock needed. I wouldn't have graduated without her help. I took her back to the States with me. She passed away 3 yrs ago.
This year I'm going down to Mexico again, I shall find another hound. 🙏🏻
