I recently bought a 2007 Corvette. After getting a new head unit I figured I'd upgrade the headlight assembly. After watching what it takes to swap them out I'm thinking the stock ones are ok, lol...
I tried to replace my 2007 lenses today. After 5 hours, I just went to Amazon and ordered these same aftermarket. The stockers won't disassemble without a lot of destructive testing. The 3 bolts on the back are locked up. There is supposed to be a screw inside of another screw that can turn. The glue won't release even after 30 minutes at 225. . The very last T15 torx was stripped, so I had to get a tool for that. All the tabs on the housing are brittle and break if you pry on them. It's a job from hell. GM makes these parts to be disposable, and now they don't sell them. I just want to pay the $1300 plus labor and let them do it, but too late now. I have < 30k miles on the car and the lenses are completely frosted over..
Great video! I have a 2005. When you blocked the ballast hole on the new headlight... is that all you did because you used LED's which do not need ballasts?
No I used the steel plate because my car is an 2005. 2006-2013 corvettes do not need the steel plate. The factory ballast cover fits from a 06-13 corvette.
i bought these and got them today. i have the high/low beams and they don’t fit like you said. you said you got a harness but i didn’t get one would you know where to buy a harness at that would make them compatible thank you let me know please.
@@quickspoolgarageit’s a 2005 c6 corvette i tried to plug the bulb on the high/low beam plug in but they aren’t compatible. the headlights plug into my car and work i just am not sure how to get the high/low beam bulbs in. you said splice it but is there a harness i could buy so it would work?
Wow! Great job running through the installation. The lights look amazing and the price is affordable. I will definitely upgrade the fog lights too.
Thanks for viewing! 👍
Aftermarket headlights are tricky to get right, those look pretty dam good.
Thanks, I was extremely impressed with the fitment as well
I just purchase the same lights and they look awesome, I wish he showed the splicing and attaching to the OEM harness.
I ended up not having to splice the factory harness. The led bulb kit came with a male wire pins that went right into the harness.
@@quickspoolgarageis there a new link for them? The link in description doesn’t work anymore
Those headlights look 🔥🔥🔥! Great install video! 👍👍
Thank you
The bulb link isn’t working for me. Mind telling what main bulbs you used?
I’m updating the link 👌
@@quickspoolgaragealso waiting for this👌🏽

Are you going to change the tail lights as well?
Yes i will eventually end up upgrading the tail lights as-well.
Can you show,or explain any other wireing needed for the high/low beam for this C6 install? Thanks Gary

I didn’t end up splicing the harness. The light kit cane with wire connectors.
What kind of light bulbs did you use ??? i’ve been looking everywhere and your links aren’t working, need help
Can you update the link for the high/low beam bulbs. I’m having the same issue you had and need to buy an adaptor.

@@quickspoolgaragei made a youtube short on my page and @ you so you could get a better understanding. thank you man let me know.
Why did you splice the headlight harness? Do you have a wiring diagram how you did it? Im going 2 order these lights
I didn’t end up splicing them, the Lasfit includes two adapter wires, you can use that to splice into the factory wires without cutting.
@@quickspoolgarage thanks so much for responding how are they holding up? Like condensation?
@@busaracer590 loving them still look great. I actually get quite a few compliments on them.
I have a 5 prong connector is there a way to make a retro fit?
What year is your car?
Probably a stupid question...sorry. But do you get hi beam and low beam. How does that work. Maybe you got a dual hi/low beam bulb?
Tommy did u figure this out? Idk what bulbs to get
Good job. Buddy. We would like to invite you to review our LED lighting. Is there any way to reach out to you?
